We were visiting Birmingham for one night a few weeks ago and Googled to find a place for breakfast, read the reviews, and just WOW this place is one of the best places we’ve ever been for breakfast! Food and service was exceptional! We wish we could give more than 5 stars! Defo recommend to all and if we visit again, we’ll be back! Thank you!

Amazing service, cozy atmosphere and really good food!!! Service was super fast and wonderful. I had a perfect English breakfast and my earl grey with milk was made perfectly as well. Honestly amazing to eat here, I will definitely be back.

The customer service is excellent ! The staff were very courteous and hospitable. The English breakfast was fresh and quality products used. The only negative is the bread had butter already applied on it which I found strange.

My new go-to place for a tasty breakfast!! Staff were super friendly when you come in and the food was so filling and delicious. Service was very quick and attentive so its great if you’re in a rush. Although the place is quite small and cramped, the food and atmosphere makes it worth a visit. It does get busy but its convenient location to the station makes sense. 100% recommend 👍🏻

The people who run this place are super friendly and obviously really care about the quality and presentation of the food. My coffee was massive and it’s so reasonably priced. The breakfast was amazing. It’s just a lovely place and they obviously really pride themselves on their food and service. I’m leaving this review as I’m sitting in the café because it’s just that good!

Is that a French accent? At 06:45 in the morning the streets of Birmingham City Centre are pedestrian. Businesses have their shutters firmly locked. Thankfully the warm glow of Grand Central Kitchen (GCK) is projected onto the tram tracks of the street. I walk inside. I’m immediately greeted with a equally warm reception from the staff member. “Eat in or takeaway?”, he asks. His finely styled facial hair and foreign accent gets me thinking. Where is this man originally from? I ask. “Iran”, he replies. I take a look around and now see the obvious Middle Eastern inspired interior cues. “Flat white with oat milk please. Your finest latte art please.” He asks me to take a seat. The coffee arrives and I smile. It may be a dark Italian roast coffee, but it looks splendid. I sit, chilling out as dawn unravels. The lounge music softens my frenetic mood. I finish the last sip of liquid gold before paying and thanking the sociable and smiley staff member. See you again my friend.

Always love coming to this place, had time before I needed to be in work so came here to treat myself to breakfast. Staff are always nice. I may have ordered something simple but they always put effort into those simple dishes which I live. It's only a shame that I have only ever been for breakfast and nothing else.

Good variety of food choices. Everything tasted lovely and the wait time was minimal considering is was extremely busy. Friendly staff. Brilliant location right outside new street train station. It was only £55 for four of us and we had lots of sides and drinks. Would definitely return.

Read the reviews, believe the hype 😄 This place was on our to-go place for a while and we shouldn’t have waited. Delicious food and very personal and friendly service. You can really tell it’s a well-run family business with heart for their patrons. Definitely recommend this place.

Lovely all day breakfast! You could choose to have what eggs you wanted, I chose cheese omelette which was lovely. If I had to pick fault the only thing I would say is that the hash browns aren’t included in any of the breakfasts, so you need to pay additional for them but was still really nice and very well presented! My partner had a coffee which looked lush and all the food we saw coming out for other customers looked amazing, the staff were lovely too and the service was good. It was my second visit to Birmingham and when I come back I will definitely be visiting again!

A few friends and I visited Birmingham for the weekend and desperately needed breakfast. Grand Central Kitchen was simply amazing. We couldn't locate the cafe at first, so I called up for directions, and the owner (I believe his name is Cena) kindly met us outside and took us to our seats. This was very impressive as we'd never experienced this type of care at any cafe/restaurant, especially from the owner! We immediately felt taken care of. His polite staff took our order, and the delicious breakfast arrived in no time. The food, service and atmosphere were so satisfying we went back for breakfast the following morning before travelling back to London. Cena didn't fail to impress us again and kindly stored our suitcases in a safe place while we enjoyed another delicious breakfast. Grand Central Kitchen is now our go-to cafe whenever we decide to visit Birmingham (hopefully soon!), and we'll be sure to recommend the cafe to everyone. Keep up the fantastic service and customer experience :)

Wonderful brunch - fantastic menu and spoilt for choice. Omelettes amazing as were the English breakfasts and wraps. Great service and did everything to help. Nothing was too much trouble Prices so so reasonable. Will definitely return soon. I highly recommended this place.

Me and my partner came here during a weekend away, and the food was amazing! They provide gluten free bread so there is a wide range of gluten free options from breakfasts to sandwiches/paninis. I had a mocha, and can honestly say it’s one of the best I have tasted. The staff were very accommodating and attentive, with the service being quick, but the quality of food was exceptional. We even returned for a second time before going home!

Here at the moment and must say what a fantastic place.. Had to queue outside for 7 minutes but we'll worth the wait. Staff are very welcoming and we're happy to help with every aspect of our "off menu" order. Food arrived after 15 minutes and was worth the wait.. I had the roast chicken salad with dressing and the wife had smashed avacardo on sour bread toast with bacon and perfect poached eggs. We had the cheese garlic bread as a side and all I can say that it was AMAZING.... Fresh, tasty and great flavours... Will recommend and use again and again... The hot chocolate was delicious on a cold shopping day...

I absolutely love coming to this cafe and make a trip into Birmingham specifically for it. The breakfasts are so so so delicious!!! I have had the panini's and wraps before, but today I went for the big breakfast and boy is it big. So filling and so tasty. The cheesy omelette is amazing!!! The staff in here are so friendly. They take their time to talk to you. Also there is an open kitchen so you can see and smell everything being made. The coffees are really good too. Will definitely return some time soon.

Honestly, this is one of the best places I've ever been to. The staff are friendly and welcoming, brilliant service. The atmosphere is chilled and not too loud/quiet. The food is amazing! I had the Full English Breakfast with poached eggs, and it was cooked to perfection. I can't recommend this place enough.

In Birmingham for a few days and this seemed like a decent breakfast stop. I was very impressed. The service was quick and good, the staff friendly and helpful and the food delicious. My only negative is the high price for a couple of extras my partner had with her meal, but even then, I can't complain. I would recommend to friends and will probably pop by next time in the city.

We came here to have 2 omelette rolls and a cappuccino as well as a chai latte. They were both really nice and tasty and it started off our day brilliantly. The omelette rolls tasted fantastic, with great flavour. The coffee was reasonably priced, compared to places like Costa and Starbucks, for example, and tasted better! The staff were very chatty and friendly as well. We really enjoyed talking to them and they made the food very quickly within 10 minutes too. It was a bit noisy when we came in but I guess it's a normal thing with all restaurants in the morning, but it was still a fantastic experience and a great place to have your breakfast.

We had breakfast there 2 days running as we were there for the weekend. It was fabulous, greeted with a smile and a handshake, showed to your table, the food was very reasonably priced, the portions more than enough and was very tasty, I didn't take a pic of my full English on the first day but I did of the house omelette (choose 3 toppings) with toast it was around £8 ish. Highly recommend. Location, just outside the train station.

Oh my goodness!!!! The perfect poached eggs, sausages full of flavour, well seasoned, quickly served, friendly prompt staff. My train was delayed but I'm now glad it was!!!! What an awesome breakfast xx

This restaurant is a hidden gem. You can fully comprehend why there is a queue outside on a Sunday for breakfast because the food is phenomenal. The staff are friendly and extremely attentive. It was so good, we returned after almost 4 years… And it is still soo good!!! Service is warm, prompt and friendly. Prices are reasonable, and the food was great. It’s just good honest grub. My wife said the coffee was the best she’s had on the holiday, and that’s kind of huge. Return customers are proof that Grand Central Station deserve their 4.8 star rating, from 1500+ reviews. It’s no surprise that we can’t wait to come back (again).

Haven't been into Birmingham in a while, and circumstances had me there early on a Saturday morning. I googled where to have a nice breakfast, and this place came up first, so I thought i'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did!! As soon as I walked in I was made to feel welcome by the very polite & friendly staff. I ordered a breakfast and waited. It arrived after a few short minutes and was made to perfection. Food was brilliant, staff were brilliant & the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Visiting from the US and it was good. Never had English breakfast before but the experience was worth it and the food was tasty. The service was quick and the staff were nice even though it was extremely busy.

Trust me...the best food in town

Hey do you think you could be on uber eats? I loved coming here for my lunch breaks as the food was always amazing, I use to always get a panini it smelled, looked and tasted sooo good. Due to corona I have not been coming into town because of work so uber eats would be very useful. Customer service is always excellent, very bubbly and lively, always feel comfortable. I highly recommend coming here!!😊

This great little restaurant like all restaurant pubs etc are closed however it remains open for takeaway and no surprise still great food great service lets hope it will not be long before it will be"business as usual" for everyone this place as a loyal customer base with good reason so let's hope it's back to "normal " soon

I went in for breakfast with a friend one Saturday when visiting Birmingham and we had such a lovely experience with great customer service and delicious food we ended up going in again for breakfast the day after too! It was lovely to see lots of gluten free options as well!

Extremely friendly staff and the Tika Panini I had was absolutely delicious. A little tightly packed, especially considering the social distancing rules in place at the time we visited. Right outside the station, so nice and easy location to get to. Would recommend as a nice little stop off for a light lunch whilst exploring Birmingham.

Really lovely little kitchen cafe, situated right next to Birmingham New Street station, serving a decent range of food throughout the day. Loved the English Breakfast, good portion size and very tasty. Very friendly staff and efficient service. Worth every penny and would thoroughly recommend.

A modern and clean cafe that is nestled just outside the Birmingham New Street station. Convenient to grab a quick bite at an affordable price. I had their vegetarian panini which was freshly prepared and I really enjoyed their sesame-topped panini. Menu is vegetarian friendly. :)

The staff were very be welcoming and the décor was gorgeous. The bathroom was very stylish. I had toast which had melted butter. Done just as I like it. The tea was perfect. My significant other had a gorgeous omelette. Well worth a visit.

There are places you go in that somehow have a familiarity about them, people you meet. This is that place. There is a warmth from everyone of them that is like a greeting from an old friend. Someone once asked me what my favourite food was-I replied anything cooked with love, this place holds that. They cook with that warmth, you taste it, you feel it and this is why this place is so loved. The food is wonderful, yet it is the people behind it that give it such flavour. We end up where we were always meant to be. Thankyou.
