Previous reviews were off putting but booked anyway because it was close to where I needed to be. For a budget hotel, the bar and restaurant areas are nice, bar food good, breakfast good. The rooms are basic but still have coffee/tea and TV. They are clean and have a great shower. Some staff friendlier than others. Decent car park and close to amenities. The only downsides, room too hot and a lot of road noise if you open the windows, overpowering air freshener in corridors and room. I would come back.

Service at the main desk was OK, booking process was really easy, I put in the notes box at the bottom before booking to 'make sure rooms is clean and odour free' and the room was clean! Was even a decent size . Overall a good hotel and really close to the city centre and other good main attractions so It's not hard to get about and travel. Price was reasonable too. I'll probably use them again when I need too in Birmingham.

The room was absolutely boiling, no air con. Really uncomfortably hot. However it was clean, the staff were great and it was quiet. We paid around £200 for one night in a twin and I thought that was a bit expensive. About a half hour walk to the stadium to see pink.

Been to this place a few times. All experiences were good until I went this afternoon. The lady behind the reception (asian lady) had a very serious attitude problem talking to me very directly like ive done something wrong. She was trying to be all bossy for no reason all i wanted was my hotel key but she was like if you don't listen to me your not going to go anywhere, who actually says that? Oh well from now on ill spend my money elsewhere with hotels who actually care! Also friends and family normally stay here as its close to my home will tell them not to use this company ever again. We will be using Prime stay groups from now. Good service and very helpful staff who actually care about your visit and are willing to give you advice and help with the car parking!!!

Reception staff excellent Rooms do what it says on the advert no fans available. No Aircon in rooms. And most of all no fridge. Breakfast had a good varied choice. Would stay again. (With own fan )

Rated a three star? For a hotel that is part of a global company, this really is not all there. It boasts a hotel and restaurant but on Sunday evening the restaurant was closed to guests. Breakfast was not fresh and was cold. I will never use a hotel from this group again. The only positive thing is the staff were very professional but unfortunately the only hint of professionalism.

I’ve just spent £15 to have 2 bottles of water and a fizzy drink delivered to the hotel because they decide to close the little hotel shop at 11pm, despite there still being staff on duty who could simply serve you?! Why not just install a 24 hour vending machine. This is ridiculous. The room itself is fine and clean, the bed is comfy but seriously, the fact that I’m having to have someone deliver water to me from outside, despite there being water bottles available on site for purchase is ridiculous.

Pleasantly surprised when I walked into reception. A lot better than I was expecting. Quite a nice bar area although 3 out of the 6 pumps had run out so only left Coors, Guinness or Aspalls cider on tap. Rooms were basic but very clean. Breakfast was OK but had better

Nice clean room with adequate facilities. Had a problem with the toilet flush, but staff took note. The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived and showed us the canal route back to town centre

Nice hotel, ideal location if you're having a night out in Birmingham! The rooms were small but comfortable. It's reasonably priced. The staff behind the bar were really friendly too. Enjoyed our stay

Just outside of town if you cant access through clean air zone without charges. Rooms were clean and simple, showers were nice, good pressure water, easy location to get to, soundproof and barely can hear other people making noise. There is a bar downstairs which is good for a bit of pre drinking. It is a great choice if you are planning a night out, birthday weekend and just need somewhere to sleep for a short period of time.

My recent 2-week stay at this centrally located Birmingham hotel was truly exceptional, largely due to the outstanding service from the nights team, including Sam the Manager, Ricky, and Sam from security. Their unwavering commitment to excellence, noticeable from the first night, set them apart from other shifts, who also contributed to my experience. The modern, impeccably clean rooms, coupled with the team's warm welcome and genuine smiles, created a memorable atmosphere. Sam's leadership, Ricky's attention to detail, and the security team's proactive approach made me feel secure and valued throughout my stay. This dedicated nights team clearly work amazing together and significantly enhanced my overall experience, making this hotel a standout choice for those seeking a top-notch stay in Birmingham. Highly recommended.

I've been doing a little travelling recently and stumbled across this hotel, I booked for a night's stay so I can have a venture in to the city centre, upon arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome, I checked into my room, it was very clean and tidy, I decided to go for a wonder and spoke to a member of staff Mira who was very helpful, and gave me a few nice locations to look around and said the Christmas Market was also in the city. When I was departing I spoke to Mira and said how wonderful everywhere was. Thank you for your recommendations, this made my stay a lot more enjoyable.

Great service, super friendly and polite staff willing to help. The room and bathroom was clean. It was my best decision to stay in this hotel. I can just recommend it!

Everything running smoothly. Polite staff, willing to help, everything explained before my check-in. The room was clean and the shower was really good. I had a couple of beers at the bar and the service was amazing. I had a full English breakfast and was lovely. A star for Mira provided an amazing service. I will come back.

What a great hotel. The rooms are clean and modern. The restaurant was very good with the daily specials being really great. Finally the staff were really helpful and friendly. They all went the extra mile to get to know their guests and seemed proud of they did. I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Campanile Birmingham-Aston. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout the check-in process. I had several pieces of luggage and was traveling with my two young kids, aged 8 and 10. The staff also helped me carry our luggage to the room. The room was neat and tidy. For the price, I have no complaints, and my kids and I had a lovely stay. I will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for the work. Hotel was fully booked. Amazing first impression and atmosphere, great, friendly and helpful staff ever. The hotel was clean, and the lobby area and bedrooms were great and modern. Breakfast and dinner were good quality and lots of options. Service was fast. I was very pleased with my stay and I will be definitely back soon.

The staff were friendly. As soon as you opened the door to the room you're greeted with an unpleasant smell. Opened the door to the bathroom and it smelt of sewage. The room also had no AC and the room was boiling at night and there was nothing at all we could do to get the room to a cooler temperature. Was sweating all night with hardly any sleep. Also, the TV was half broken. Part of the screen was grey which cut off the image and nothing could be done about it. The shower was good, but it's a good shower in a bathroom that stinks.

Not a overnight stay, but Birthday Party for 10 yo. Contacted hotel on short notice if they could allocate my son Birthday Party, receptionist was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was allowed to decorate venue one day before.MIRA member of the team was very helpful, she helped to decorate the venue ,and was available throughout. My son his friends and parents had a great time Thank you everyone at Campanile making this day special.

I have pictures to show everything discussed...... There was poo on the toilet wall. Receptionist refused to clean and said cleaning staff had gone home. The bath very very dirty with a dark rim of dirt round the bath. I asked for cleaning supplies. Receptionist cleaned the bath her self but it was still not clean... The next morning I ordered just eat. The receptionist told the delivery driver she would call the phone in my hotel room and to leave the food with her as she'll make sure I get it.. There was no phone in my hotel room. My food was left waiting in the reception for 1.5 hours.. no body called my Mobile or knocked the door.. The receptionist said she was unable to leave the desk but what if she needed the toilet.. There's many staff who could have called me.. A cleaner could have knocked my door to inform me.. If she had not taken responsibility for my food I would've been able to get a refund from just eat and the delivery driver would have called my mobile. But I lost £17.00 worth of food due to incompetence.

Great hotel. Really friendly staff on reception and all throughout. The room was really clean and tidy. Good sized tv. Bed was a little firm but it’s good for a night or two. Would stay here again.

A nice clean and comfortable hotel with nice rooms (although a but on the small side from my experience in hotel rooms). Staff was very friendly and there is on-site parking for your vehicle and downtown Birmingham and all it's attractions are only a few minutes drive away (you can also walk there as well if you wish). My only negative is that the shower only has half a door to keep the water from getting out onto the floor

Cheap(ish), clean and cheerful hotel to stay - I use when visiting for work. Bar and restaurant area on site. Quiet even though it’s next to a busy road. Kettle, tea and coffee in the rooms and rooms are en-suite. Free parking, okay for the price breakfast and the staff are cheerful, helpful and polite. 5 stars for what it does and the price point.

Lovely hotel, clean tidy room. Receptionists very welcoming and helpful couldn't fault them, the bar and restaurant was shut for which they apologised and gave us a discount. It was Xmas eve so didn't expect them to be open anyway. Will definitely be staying there again in the future.

Room was nice, bar was cheap enough, out door seating near canal was nice on evening. Only issue was smelly throw pillow put back on bed after notifying reception on check in. mentioned again on check out and lady was so nice and apologetic about it, other than that great stay and nice back, just be care ful which way you come in as clean air zone charge in city may catch you out

The room was OK for one, possibly tight for 2. The bathroom was of a good standard though, and would happily have the shower in my own home. Apart from the size of the room, the lack of air conditioning was a big let down given the hot summer night. The staff were nice and the food service was quick and good quality. The breakfast was nicely cooked, and a rare change for these style, there wasn't much grease to note. The surrounding area was of little excitement, mainly business and industrial.

Rooms clean and comfortable Nice breakfast but price was a little high. Location by the canal. Disappointed to find the restaurant and bar was closed as it was bank holiday Monday. As some in our party disabled, nowwhere close to have food or a drink. Unless you took a taxi.

Ideal for one or two nights, I stayed with a friend to attend a concert. Lots of local transport nearby, and a really well looked after hotel. The only downside for me, personally, is the comfort of the beds. Too hard for me, but may be ideal for someone else. Excellent shower and all you need in the lobby.

Location was good for me to walk to conference and back. Parking was free. Rooms were reasonable size with basic decor. In room coffee and tea making equipments were available. Staffs were very efficient and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant offering wide varieties of food and drink.

Lovely ladies at the bar. But when you park your make sure to let the reception know because otherwise you will be receiving a parking ticket one week later. You can inform them about it and they'll resolve the ticket but if you don't want to go through that, let the reception know in advance so that they won't charge you. Because it is free if you use their services.

I mean lovely looking place and very friendly staff but even though the bedroom looks great, the main reason you rent a room in a hotel is to have somewhere to sleep while visiting the area, be it on business or pleasure. And that's where the place failed to deliver as the bed I sleep in was just incredibly uncomfortable so were the pillows.. it was as if I was laying on concrete.. beautiful view over the canal though. Also a bit too expensive.

Excellent hotel if you're simply looking for an affordable place to stay. Room was clean and bed was better than ours at home and the shower was fab. Location is a 20 minute walk to the centre or 4 min Uber. Didn't try the breakfast, there was a great independent cafe across the street I'd recommend. No problem with parking but I can see what the reviews mean by the autoglass vans. They do take a lot of space. But parking on the road looks like an easy alternative. Staff were totally fine, pleasant people.

One night stay I felt that the hotel had a lovely reception and lounge area upon arrival looks quite modern. However the bedrooms could do with an update i feel they are a bit small and could do with brightening up. Also, there was a strange smell in the room and I believe it was the carpets so maybe that could do with a steam over. But overall the bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly also which is always helpful.
