Lovely food. I did enjoy the evening. Unique flavours. I think everyone should try this restaurant. Customer service was good but the workers need to have a good bath. Nearly all of them (men) stank of BO. It put me off from the lovely food the chef cooked. By the way, only the chicken is halal at this restaurant.

Christmas Day 2023 was amazing, so happy that we chose Asha’s! The atmosphere was buzzing, the demographic was so diverse and everyone seemed really happy. Cocktails at the bar to start followed by delicious starter and main. There was so much food we had to take half of it home. First time but will definitely be back, what a treat! Thank you so much for looking after us and for being so wonderful!

Great food if you like a rich flavor and decent portions, we had a late lunch after a game of VR. The service was excellent, food arrived hot and tasted perfect. As always the roomalli roti is one of my favorites.

One of the best Indian restaurants I have visited and I have been to most in the Midlands, excellent food, service and extremely organised staff. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely authentic Indian restaurant right in the middle of Birmingham City Center. Lived up to its big reputation of being one of the Michelin Star Indian restaurant ! All the staff were very welcoming and warm . The ambience was very cozy and nice The food itself was very authentic and exquisite ! Went with family and truly enjoyed the flavours. Should definitely try the Asha's Desert platter at the end. One of the very best in UK ! No wonder Tom Cruise loved it as well :) Will definitely visit if we are in that area again ! Regards, Shashank

Amazing food! Amazing staff! Amazing atmosphere! Overall an amazing experience! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and helpful when it came to the menu. Our waiter in particular was extremely helpful and recommended some items on the menu. The food was delicious and the service was quick. Recommend the chicken biryani. They also have a lot on their menu which gives it a homely kind of vibe. Cocktails as well! They have various selection of cocktails and they all sounded amazing. Just so expensive haha. I love the fact they have pictures on the walls of each celebrity that has visited, even the King! And also each celebrity has their own favourite meal. It’s a nice touch to the place. A lot of awards as well, which is great! You can also have your own room for a bigger party (think 10+) which is a nice idea for birthdays, etc. Definitely going back to this restaurant as the food and staff were amazing. Highly recommend date night here. Expensive but worth it, value and quality was up there.

Great dishes, nice staff. Perfect for a celebration. The Lobster is legendary. They really pride themselves on their cocktails, and they don’t disappoint. I’ve been going for 10 years and it never fails to deliver.

Lives up to its hype. Excellent environment and food. I understand that prices are high but you pay for good service, environment and food. Grilled food is awesome. Best prawns. Chicken was better than lamb.

Took mum to Asha's as a surprise birthday treat and it was simply delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being busy we were never left unattended for long periods of time. We started off with cocktails and starters which were amazing. The main course curries that followed did not disappoint either! Best of all, they noted mum's birthday and surprised her at the end of the meal with a slice of chocolate cake to celebrate. Very reasonably priced too for the sheer quality of food and service you get for your money. Couldn't fault it at all and look forward to going back whenever I return to Birmingham!

Being an Indian restaurant rather than your more common Bangladeshi means the dishes will be peculiar to the chef. This can be a good or bad thing depending on your choice. That said it's difficult to choose your dish from the menu description alone. We were fortunate to have the excellent Esther to advise. My Muscat dish was fabulous, the wife was slightly less impressed with her Dhaba. The sides were very good too with the exception of the less than crisp poppadoms. I suspect the main question most people would have after a meal here is, was it worth the money?

I came here to celebrate a family birthday. On first impression the place seemed very posh. The dress code was smart casual but there were customers in there wearing shorts and tshirt but most people made an effort and came very smartly dressed. We were taken to the bar to wait while the table was readied. We waited around 15 mins before being seated. The atmosphere was lively and lighting low. It would have been nice to have listened to Asha's music rather than some other music, we did ask for it but were told they didn't play it. There was plenty of drinks and food choice available. Our food order was taken but the starters took quite some time to arrive by which time we were very hungry. All of our food was very tasty, the chicken and lamb was tender. I chose the selection on deserts which is preselected by Asha's. This was so tasty, full of flavour and very filling. I'll definitely be coming back here one day.

The courses were served so quickly after one another I didn't have time to enjoy the food. You would have thought you were in a fast good restuarant. Arrived at 19.10 left 20.20 having had 3 courses thrown at us. Very disappointing.

Food was equisite. So was the price. Put simply, the most wonderful Indian food I've ever tasted and it was all over quickly and at a cost. That's what you pay for quality. The restaurant was beautiful and very busy with a lovely atmosphere.

One of the premium Indian restaurants which provide a good taste to our palate. We ordered few cocktails, fish platter, Naan, Lamb curry and Butter chicken. All these items were really good but the Biriyani what we ordered lacked taste and aroma. The service was quite average and needs a lot of improvement. And Yes the place is expensive.

The service is great, and the food is okay, but it's nowhere near worth the price. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but I was quite dissapointed with the amount of food we got for our money. £9.95 side portion of tadka dahl come out in a tiny bowl that most Indian restaurants wouldn't dare charge more than £2, and the vegetable biryani was nice but obscene to charge £17 for it. Fortunately we took advantage of the eat out to help out discount while we ate, with which the meal was an acceptable price, but I certainly wouldn't go back and pay full price. Don't get me wrong, the food is nice, just nothing particularly special, and in Birmingham there are plenty of other options where you can get much better value for your money. For Indian I'd recommend Barsana in Handsworth or if you want a (non-indian) fancy restaurant in the city centre why not try Land.

A delicious experience! From drinks to dessert there is nothing I could fault. The Lamb Shank was to die for - can't wait to come back! The only tip I'd give is two people could easily split the main curry. We had to take our mains home in a box.

Booked my work Christmas meal here on the 19th December for 40 people, the booking process itself ran very smooth, Sonia was very helpful. On the day food arrived quickly as well as our drinks, waiters were extremely helpful and food was fab. My colleagues enjoyed the meal very much. There were a few of us who had dietary requirements such as being Vegan, the staff were very helpful in this matter and brought out separate starters and mains for them which was thoughtful. I will definitely come back whether it be for a large event or just an evening meal.

Fresh from India, maybe I expected more. The food was good but not WOW, definitely not a fan of the starters (Chaats) . The main course was more promising. The drinks were decent. The service was quick and prompt.

Best food we've had in Birmingham, hands down! Lots of flavour, authentic Indian food, great staff. Excellent choices for meat and veg. Tasty! Highly recommend to anyone who knows a good curry. Every dish is its own, not one sauce fits 5 dishes. Little pricier than other locals, but so worth it. We ditched the last place we sat, as it was so disappointing and headed for Asha's. So glad we did!

Good food and cocktails, went there for a lunch and it was pretty quiet. The prices for the spread were very reasonable as well. The chairs very quite bulky and the decor felt a little outdated, also the first impression as you’re walking through the door is not the best and it feels like the place needs a little bit of love.

Nice simple but yet elegant. The food is indeed amazing and contemporary. We didn't planned but heard a lot how good the restaurant is. So, we simply went for lunch without reservation. The interior is relaxing and walls were full of Asha ji and celebrities pics. We started our order with mango caramel lassi, aaloo mutter tikki and papdi Chaat. All were delicious (Chaat was bit sweeter). For main course we ordered Punjabi kulcha, garlic naan and kadai paneer. After about 40 mins we got served. Kulcha tasted more like aaloo paratha and paneer dish was perfectly cooked like indian taste. Definitely worth the wait. Will surely recommend this and next time will update after trying their non veg dishes.

Food looked nice but taste was not. Fish curry was fish skin mostly, staff seem to differ on what type of fish, one says sea bass and another says salmon. Portions small 4 piece of chicken tikka massala to share by 4 people. Price not match portions.

My experience at Asha's in Birmingham was nothing short of exceptional. The restaurant's opulent setting and diverse menu, showcasing the best of India's culinary heritage, make it a standout dining destination in the heart of the city. The knowledgeable and discerning local clientele is a testament to the quality of the food, which was expertly prepared and spiced. I was able to sample a range of dishes, from the all-time favourite Butter Chicken to the rich Lamb Saffron Biryani, and each one was a true delight. I highly recommend Asha's to anyone looking for an authentic taste of India's North-West frontier in Birmingham.

Nice experience, great service, good food. Enjoyed the veg platter, kadhai paneer, dips, rasmalai, and premium ice creams... somehow did not like the Hare baingan the Bharta, it was missing either the smoky effect or some ingredient...otherwise the overall experience was wondrous..

By far the best Indian restaurant I have ever dined at! And I have tried a LOT of Indian restaurants! What can I say, the food is to die for. I have never tasted lamb like it in all my life. The peshwari nan was done perfectly, the paneer curry was amazing, the samosas / cocktails/ service- Everything was simply the best! Thank you for a fabulous night in Birmingham. We will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Asha Food Restaurant and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The ambiance of the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I had the Malai Soya Chaap and the Cheese Mushroom, and both dishes were absolutely divine. The Malai Soya Chaap was incredibly flavorful and had a perfect balance of spices. The texture of the soya chaap was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. Highly recommended!

I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years and it’s always been fab. Great food, tasted majority on the menu. Have to say best biryani dishes! We request same table each time over last few years as our son enjoys watching buses go by. They’ve always delivered optimum service with a smile. You won’t be disappointed, can’t wait till they open after lockdown I miss the food!

    1) Food tasted really bad (Nan bread taste better from my local Indian takeaway 🙈) 2) Service was not to the point. 3) Cocktails were so bad, I don’t even think they put any alcohol in it. 4) really disappointed with the starters also. 5) Price (way to pricey) not worth the Main, drinks, starter’s and service. 6) wake up with a bad belly next day. 7) I will not recommend this place at all to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Indian Cuisine. Also I had to go somewhere else after paying extortionate prices at Asha’s to get myself a decent meal.

  • 4/5 Hitesh S. 5 years ago on Google
Very nice food. The items I had seemed to have a North Indian influence and were lovely, but pricey. The welcome is not as warm as I would expect from this brand and price level. It seems very rushed and could be improved. For this price level, I would expect some level of conversation and not just order taking. As mentioned the food, drinks (including mocktails which my kids loved) and desserts were lovely, but be prepared for your wallet to take a hammering.

Amazing food, customer service and interior. After having tried several Indian restaurants in Birmingham, one of which being Pushkar (for comparison). I can happily say that Asha's leaves them all in the dust. Not only is the food quality and taste far superior, but the portion sizes are easily twice as large. You definitely get what you pay for here. You won't be disappointed.

I was apprehensive about booking a table here, but I'm glad we did as we weren't disappointed. The quality of the food and service was excellent. We asked for the dishes to be prepared authentically and they delivered; each dish had its own distinct flavour and the spice was perfectly balanced. The restaurant is a lovely place to be, but it did get quite noisy, so we were shouting at each other just to hold a conversation. The toilets also got quite messy as the evening went on, which wasn't pleasant. Overall we had a great evening and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
