Beautifully furnished place to eat when you fancy a high standard Italian, though I picked English. Could not resist the thought of lamb this first visit, pancake was not the usual soft floppy but pleasant nevertheless with ice cream plus best sweetest white wine ever. Excellent waiter service.

A fantastic, authentic Italian restaurant near the station and centre of Birmingham. I had my 6yr old son with me and the staff were fantastic with him, made him feel so at ease and special. They were very informative about the menu and options, really attentive and friendly. We all had pizzas which were delicious, so light and tasty. Will definitely return. In the words of my son "Best pizza I've ever had!".

This was next level gorgeous. Went to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed! The flavours were divine. And the bruschetta and formaggio di caprine were mouthwateringly delicious, I could have those every day and be content! The staff were so lovely and thoughtful (adding an extra piece to our starters as we were a table of three) and asking if we wanted extra garlic – YES! and the décor was stunning. Can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back again!

Pizza was a huge disappointment. The menu stated ‘buffalo mozzarella' but there wasn’t much of it and couldn’t taste it. Pizza was cold, almost stale like, and there wasn’t enough tomato sauce base, also couldn’t taste it. However, the pasta was delicious and exactly how it is in Italy; al dente with just enough sauce, which was very flavourful. Only a little pricy for a vegetarian dish. It is a lovely restaurant but unfortunately the pizza was really disappointing so only 2/5 stars.

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. High quality, low prices, generous portions. Couldn’t ask for any more. My only criticism would be that I’d prefer the olives to be big fresh ones, but they’re probably too hard to source anyway.

The moment you step into the restaurant you’ll feel the warmth of the servers. Before commenting on their dishes, I’d like to say that the servers were exceptional! They were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and more. Our experience here became a whole lot better because of the staff. Now, for the food! I’ve eaten quite a lot of authentic Italian food, and La Galleria sits right at the fence of authenticity. The dishes we ate were delicious given the price, but if authentic Italian food is what you’re looking for, you might be slightly disappointed here. Just slight. I’d still eat here again though!

We went for an after work dinner yesterday with my friend and we are still amazed how amazing everything was. The place is stunning and immaculate the staff is the friendliest I have ever seen. We tried their garlic bread, carbonara, risotto with chicken & prawns, black forest cake and cheesecake it was delightful. Portions are huge I couldn’t have anything else to eat until lunch time today. Elena was so lovely, nicest person I have ever met. Wish everyone in the world would be like her and the world would be a much nicer place. I can not wait to go back again, do recommend this place. Also it’s a bonus that they participate in the eat out help out scheme so go and try it out :). Well done guys, we love you Elena you really made our day with your kindness x

Soo delicious,, the dough used for the pizza soo nice and fresh. Delicious lasagne & pizza Risotto is nice but i like it softer. Calamari is nice. Overall nice experience and ill be back again.

Great Italian spot, the quality of food is very good, selection of different dishes with daily specials only add to the experience. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable, which made our business evening a very relaxed experience, where we were taken care of and led through the dinner. Atmosphere could be a bit better, bright lights and general ‘open plan’ takes away the atmosphere but it’s still a 5 star place for me.

Had some delicious pasta! The staff very friendly and the admosphere was a lil fancy bust mostly quite romantic. Very well decorated. I would definitely come back here. The pricing is also very nice for what you get.... And don't get me started on the dessert.... Heaven!

Wonderful atmosphere inside, attentive servers and good hosts, made you feel welcome on a rainy English day. The food was spectacular, simply said. The pastas were all very creamy and rich with sauces, the chicken and vegetables well cooked and still juicy with flavor. The calamari was not that breaded like it typically is in pubs and I have to say it was so good. Risotto was dense so beware! I couldn’t finish itThe manager and owner ended up coming over and asking how everything was and that meant a lot to my dad and I. Loved this place. Was a nice family run place with a great atmosphere. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and were very proactive with a high chair as our party had young children. The food was delicious and can high recommend the pizzas, you can see them being freshly made. I’ve lived and worked in Birmingham city centre for years and never been here. Will be revisiting again very soon.

The restaurant has a nice vibe and décor. We went for a lunch on a Friday and did not have to wait for a table. The menu offers a decent variety of food to choose from. I really enjoyed the calamari fritti. The dishes were decently presented with a good service overall. I definitely recommend it for anybody wanting to try great Italian food.

Myself and my work colleagues had a lovely Italian meal at La Galleria. A lovely traditional Italian restaurant in Birmingham city centre. The staff were friendly and welcoming, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and It was reasonably priced. I had the lasagne, it was one of the best lasagna’s I have eaten! I would really recommend.

Large group of 36, which the restaurant managed really well in terms of meals coming out together and finding who had ordered what 😀. The food was very good, everyone I spoke to enjoyed their meal. I had a tasty vegetarian pasta. And the wait staff were lovely, keeping the drinks flowing and still smiling when people turned up who hadn't preordered or people couldn't remember their orders and all that crazy stuff. Definitely would recommend!

We booked the table on the back of the Google reviews but we will not be returning or recommending. Although the service was polite and helpful, the ambience of the restaurant resembled being in a holiday resort canteen. The food was really bland and didn’t seem to use very quality ingredients... the fillet steak I had was dry and not cooked according to my preference and the rack of lamb was extremely overcooked and lost in the sauce.

I went here a couple of years ago on a short trip to Birmingham and I still think about their delicious spaghetti carbonara on a regular basis. If they are anything like back then, I totally recommend this place!

This was my first ever visit to La Galleria. I went with a friend who was visiting. Inside the restaurant is well set out with very good decor and clean. The staff members were all very pleasant, chatty and very helpful. The food we had was excellent quality. I would definitely pay another visit and recommend anyone to give it a go.

What a treasure! A family run restaurant in Birmingham City centre. The food is excellent and obviously a passion of the owner who states as everything Is made fresh, anything can be ordered - I ordered an off menu main of Tagliatelle with Mushroom and chicken and was treated to an amazing dish, full of flavour! Really good experience. Firstly, I'd forgotten my mask and realised as I'd arrived. I told the owner and he gave me a disposable one so as not to interrupt the evening. Secondly, the service was excellent. Orders taken swiftly and arrived in good time. Thirdly, the food was excellent 👌 Would highly recommend to anyone. Great experience, close to transport and you'll be supporting an independent business.

Don’t just a book by its cover. La Galleria is humble by looks alone. This family run Italian business is big, bright and full of character. The food; my god the food is good. As I sat and attended to by caring staff I looked out and saw the chefs hard at work. The hard work results in Italian dishes that are sublime. This is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever experienced. That includes food I’ve eaten in Italy.

Have not been here yet but I am just warning other familys not to book if you are thinking of going after 5pm.just got off the phone to the manager who said its his resteraunt and his policy that he will not take bookings wit children after 5 or 5.30 as children can be noisy and will disturb other diners

Fantastic! We had a beautiful meal with this Italian last night for my mums 60th, last minute booking and made us fresh gluten free pasta on a late notice basis that was just delicious! All meals were perfect portions, fresh and almost entirely home made! Staff were so kind and wonderful service! Highly recommend!
