Bizarre visit. The restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday night, given its location - probably less than 20 covers in the entire restaurant. Our waiter seemed uncomfortable and took longer than needed to do small things like taking our drinks and food orders. Out of the 4 of us, two in the party ordered pink gin, which tasted very bitter and not right, stunned our waiter when we complained and asked for replacements. He returned a short time later to tell us that they'd run out of pink gin. We suspect that the ran out of the gun latest through completing our order and thought we wouldn't notice if it were topped up with regular gin. Despite this, we ordered more drinks (which was not added to our bill). One in our party ordered from the set menu and ordered his cheeseboard simultaneously as we all ordered starters and main courses. Food was great, but service once again was off, after our main courses had been cleared, the member of the party that ordered the cheese board was given his dessert, but there was no offer of seeing the dessert menu... What happened to upselling? We had to ask to see menus, this again took longer than necessary due to our waiter just not being around. Desserts, like the rest of the food, were really good but we couldn't get over how bad service was... For a very quiet restaurant.

Lovely food. Unfortunately we had rather a long wait for ours. Not sure why but the staff we lovely gave us a generous discount and a bag of lovely desserts to take with us as we had to catch a train. Staff were lovely and attentive. Picture of takeaway cake. Food got devoured before I could think of taking a photo of it!

I had the pleasure of visiting here this morning after my sister recommended it and I most certainly was not disappointed! We were advised by a waitress to choose a table and someone would be with us shortly. Our server, Senior, was amazing, his customer service skills were second to none! He took his time with us and explained the breakfast and drink options and did not hurry us at all. The food was beautiful, major compliments to the chef! Senior came back over and asked if all was okay which it was. We were left to enjoy our surroundings and the food and it truly was wonderful! We went for the classic breakfast which cost £10.95 and this includes a hot drink AND a cold drink (cold drinks were all freshly made and the tea actually comes with a pot of tea) Definitely worth the price and you can taste the quality of the food. Overall, a really great experience and I will be going back for sure. MASSIVE shout out to Senior once more as you made us laugh and made our time there that much more enjoyable 👍🏾

first of all, the food was amazing. let's just put that out there. everything i ate tasted like a firework going off in my mouth or something, if i could i would drive the 5 hours specifically JUST for the food. but i can't so i'll have to live with the pics. secondly, the staff were great, the music wasn't too loud - which is huge for me as a partially deaf person. although it was a little noisy. nothing too bad, it was a friday night so i wasn't expecting it not to be. there's a cute little store too!! i didn't get a chance to look at everything by there were sauces, and the like which is LOVE. the one downside for me was the chairs, which is such a bizarre thing to point out. we were there for nearing on 3 hours maybe and my god was me bum numb when we left 😭 literally, other than the uncomfortable chair everything was wonderful.

Just went for dessert. Cannoli was ok. Not the most inspiring, but marginally better than the premade ones you can get from Italian street food stalls. "BOSCO INCANTATO" - mushroom inspired dessert. Look at it. Do you want to eat this? Was meant to be the special dessert for £6.75. Menu listed raspberries, but strawberries had clearly gone off but were still served. Clean restaurant and deli section was good, otherwise would be 2/5. Staff slow but it was busy. No acknowledgement of waiting times though.

The Grand Central branch is closed. Café Concerto in the first floor open area is the nearest similar establishment.

Really nice food. Simple and tasty. I cannot say the same about coffee. Really nice and friendly staff.
