I’m no expert on Thai cuisine, but I do appreciate well presented food, modern comfortable surroundings and detailed service. This is what Sabai Sabai, so good they named it twice, is all about. I will always remember the crispy duck roll starter (thanks for the recommendation serving staff). The layered flaky goodness evaporated in the mouth and left a smile on my face. It is an expensive experience, but deserves to be given its overall quality. It it also deserved of its location, fitting in beautifully with its fine dining neighbours like The Ivy, The Oyster Club. Fumo etc.

One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to across the UK. Food was rich in flavour and very tasty. Staff were friendly and the menu could be amended as you saw fit. Comes highly recommended!

We were well received and immediately taken to our table by a highly professional and personable server who looked after us very well throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble and we had some great laughs with him too. We ordered a variety of starters for two people and added a couple of extras on just to try them. The food was exceptional and plentiful, no complaints whatsoever. The cocktails are good, well priced and the wine list is sensible with a good choice. This place has a great vibe and everyone in the restaurant was having a good time, and importantly the staff were happy and all constantly making sure things were kept in top condition. We will most definitely be back! I wish I knew our servers name, because he deserves a shout out

Stopped by to get lunch, our server was so sweet and friendly. The decor was lovely and in a great location. Food was really good, anything fried was fried to perfection. The menu was also really easy to read and understand. Chicken satay was a bit disappointing and dry, there was too much green curry for the amount of rice offered, and the corn fritters were served kinda cold. However as a whole, it was really good and I would go again to try more of the menu.

Out of the four of us that dined at the restaurant on Saturday night two of us ate meat, one was vegetarian and one was a vegan. We were told by our server that anything marked as vegetarian could be made vegan however we asked for an allergens menu to be sure of what the dishes contained. We were shocked to see that dishes marked as vegetarian contained seafood (molluscs etc). This is completely unacceptable in any establishment but particularly shocking in pricier and fancier restaurants such as Sabai Sabai. All vegetarians dining here must be aware that dishes marked with a ‘V’ are not necessarily vegetarian at all. In turn this meant that after scouring the allergens menu, the vegetarian and vegan diners had a limited choice of options for starters and mains. The most worrisome thing of all is however the fact that the restaurant menu shows many dishes as vegetarian that aren’t. I hope that the restaurant takes this on board and changes their menu accordingly so that dishes are marked appropriately and more dishes are available to vegetarians and vegans that do not contain seafood such fish sauce or molluscs. Most reputable Thai restaurants have managed to create their classic red and green Thai curry dishes without the use of seafood in their curry pastes and I hope to see Sabai Sabai doing the same in the future.

The food is absolutely amazing here, walked quite a bit to get there. Price is a bit high but I personally really enjoyed the food enough to pay a couple pounds more than I’d normally pay for some good Thai food.

First time having Thai food and loved it. Gorgeous little place. Staff not as helpful as we would of liked for our first experience. Food was so tasty so much fresh flavour. Unfortunately there was a broken mussel shell which went into the rest of the dish so kept finding bits of shell during the starter was bit off putting. However i Would visit again if in town

Great Thai food we had the set menu for 4, we were 3, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Best dishes were sea bass, crispy duck, prawn curry. I didn't try the beef or chicken noodle but my friends finished these so must have been good. The place is very well decorated and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and pleasant and accommodating. Menu was £31.99 p/p I think I didn't pay it was my birthday😊 Highly recommend

The menu is vast and offers a great variety, from Thai curry, to steaks and seafood. The food was well presented and full of flavour. For lunch with 4 people and a bottle of wine, expect to pay 140 pounds, which is reasonable. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the booth where we sat was ripped and worn so it was an unpleasant surprise, hence the 4 stars. However, I would easily come back to try the rest of the menu.

My 1st time experience at a Thai restaurant, and it was amazing. Freshly cooked from lunch menu. Calamari and tempura prawns in a crispy batter was gorgeous, I would recommend and revisit very soon. Brilliant efficient table service.

Just amazing! One of the best thai places I've been to. The steamed fish was extremely good. One must also try the Bangkok fizz cocktail. And OMG the dark chocolate cheesecake to finish. Just amazing! Definitely coming back.

Super tasty food and flavourful curries, also very nice interior and atmosphere so it is an excellent spot for date nights or occasions. I recommend the red curry with the thai sticky rice, an absolute favourite and they are never stingy with their portions or meat.

went out for dinner with my family. It was lovely food, we enjoyed having sabai sabai house platter, pad thai noodles and pad kee mao - drunken noodles. We also enjoyed having nice chat with the waiter there. He was funny and entertaining. Parking space available nearby, nice location, plenty of seating, nice menu and excellent service. Certainly recommended to everyone, we would love to go back again soon.

Good experience there, very good food, good portion. Good customer service. But the soft drinks pina colada was a bit watery, no taste… that’s it is the negative thing… otherwise Not too expensive. I really recommend this place😁

It was the best Thai I’ve ever had in my life. I tried quite many Thai food as it’s one of my favorite cuisine but it’s actually quite hard to find the right Pad Thai. Noodle was just cooked right and sauce was just perfect. Also the rest dishes are cooked properly as well. Chicken and squid were as juicy as it was just cooked. Even batter was delicious. We loved papaya salad as well. Every dish was absolutely amazing and phenomenal. I never expected to have the best Thai in Birmingham and if I have to visit Birmingham again, there’s no doubt this place will be the first one to go.

Walked in without a booking and were quickly seated. The man who was waiting on us was very nice and lovely. Food was good but the portions were too small for the money. The egg rice was very undercooked. Left our phone in the restaurant while leaving and the awesome waiter came all the way out after us to give it back. Fantastic service!

I visited Sabai Sabai whilst staying in Birmingham for work. I arrived at the restaurant and was met by a charming man called Carlos. He made me feel very welcome and found me a table for 1 in the bar. Nothing was too much trouble, he explained the menu and made lots of effort to ensure my food was gluten free. The food tasted great and service top notch. Would recommend.

Horrible food and service. Felt like our group of 3 blk females were ostrisozed. We were told to wear masks even thou noone else had them & if we didn't ave out own we had to buy frm them. Food was represented as thai & drinks were confusing. They label drinks as innocent cociktails meaning alcohol free but then say it has little alcohol in it which is called soft cocktail. Drinks were severely overpriced 4 what they were.

I would definitely book this place again!!! I hired a table for my graduation lunch and the restaurant was not too busy or loud, and had the perfect and comfortable setting. The staff were very lovely, took our orders with speed and delivered the food in good time. The lunch menu was also delicious, with good options to choose from. Not much a fan of the drinks, however they a good price Overall the food was worth the cost and I will definitely love to try it again !

This in now my favourite Thai restaurant...the food is absolutely amazing, and the menu has a plethora of choices...the service was decent; never had an issue. And the atmosphere was great.

Pretty decent Thai food. Taste was rather authentic. The only disappointing dish was the Tom Yum. It had no flavor save for the strong sour after taste. Great place for a dinner date nonetheless !

The food was amazing as always....but on needing some help delaying my order to tonight, the staff on the phone were so accommodating and resulted in a perfect delivery....continuing perfect food/service even during lockdown, when missing what normally would have been a perfect evening in their restaurant. Best Thai food/best service in Birmingham by a mile. Thank you. Steve

I've never had Thai food before and the jungle curry was a good dish to try Thai food for the first time, it's full of flavors so it was a little overwhelming but it was very tasty, nice and I appreciated the mild spiciness, just enough to feel it. Good service and lovely decor, friendly waiters. It was a good experience overall, defo recommend :)

Cyrus and Daniel provided excellent service, they checked up on us just the right amount of times and Daniel even memorised the food everyone had-we didnt have to direct him which is always nice. The food was exquisite. Everything we had in terms of food was 10/10, the best thing was the coconut rice. The ambiance including the music, the lighting and the setting was really homely and comfortable.

Really great experience. The decor is classy and gorgeous, portion sizes are huge and the service could not be faulted. Food arrived and empty plates were taken at speed, without compromising quality.

Heard many good things about this Restaurant, and wasn't disappointed. Had the fixed menu, plenty of variety, and quantity. The restaurant is small, and so can get noisy, but it is in the city centre, but it is worth a visit. The staff were just as good, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Surprised in the difference in quality compared to the Sabai Sabai in Moseley, the City Centre food is miles off the Moseley branch as the Moseley branch is 10/10 whereas the food in City Centre is about 7/10 still decent but not amazing.

We accidentally booked at the wrong restaurant their website is so bad.. The manager was rude and basically didn't even give us an opportunity to explain.. I tried to explain that we were in Birmingham to attend a personal funeral and whilst booking may have made a mistake.. Asked him to help and happy to wait. But he literally tnrew us out.. If grieving people who made a genuine mistake whilst booking are treated this way thiz manager needs to look at his conscience. Would never return to any of their restaurants..
