Earlier review below, but today (Sunday) we came for the bottomless thali. There is a veg version and meat (lamb, chicken, prawn) version. The exec thali also comes with raita, poppadom and one gulab jamin (sweet dessert). Excellent value for money, as many top ups as you can manage, honestly the thali was more than enough, we had one extra each plus a little more rice and naan. We were totally stuffed! Excellent service as always. All delicious delicious! Delicious! Lovely interior, friendly and attentive staff. Small but varied menu, something for all taste buds. Lovely cutlery, tableware and crockery. Spotlessly clean, comfortable seating in our booth. Thoroughly enjoyed chicken tikka starter, thigh meat, well marinated and cooked. Fresh poppadoms and home made sauces. Chicken makhani and lamb rogon super tasty, excellent quality of meats and ingredients. The rogon chilli naan was tasty and crisp. Fresh, creamy kulfi trio which was mango, pistachio and almond. My only constructive feedback is that the boiled rice was very nice but I thought expensive for £4.95. Our first meal here, lots of families enjoying meals together for birthday and mother's day, a very nice atmosphere. Looking forward to returning now we've moved in practically next door! Highly recommended.

Absolute rubbish. White crowd who don't know anything about good service and food. Waste of time immigrant and untrained staff running like monkeys with no purpose. Service 0/10. Atmosphere 4/10. Food 5/10. Seriously do not go here. Cobwebs in the entrance. Honestly thought this place was going to be good, but Raj Rana, your restaurant is Pathetic on multiple levels. Staff tossed cutlery. Drinks arrived 30mins late. Starters arrived fair time but were bordering warm/cold. Mains didn't even come 2hrs after booking time. Booking time then actual seating time is 1hr, and even that's a mess of a show. You take a toilet door to go downstairs to the Spain 50 degree sauna room or sit upstairs in Antarctica. I got photos and proof. Seriously for all indians who know food and service, stay home and save your money. These restaurants are just rinsing money out of dumb clientele. You deserve it too. Can't blame anybody but yourself. It's a business. Run it like a business, not a circus. Don't know why these idiots in the review section are adding 5 star comments. Clearly restaurant virgins with a bit of spare cash saving saved at the end of the year. Go buy yourself a Willy Wonka chocolate bar instead This falls into the slums of Milans and Rajdhoot. Equally dog sh##. I asked for ice water. No ice. Asked for a straw. No sign of that person ever again. Cutlery dirty, glasses dirty... cutlery not even put on a tissue and tossed on the dirty table. What the fu## from Ithiaas? Enjoy the first cobweb picture. Got a gallery full of the rubbish Ithiaas is. Since entering, 5 other families complained before even getting to their table. The dumb owner is working the untrained staff like organutangs paid a peanut costing £4 ph most likely. Most likely evading taxes too the way this mud shack runs. Next to the joke Opheem is too. In conclusion, it is embarrassing to say you ate at Ithiaas now.

Been a long established Indian fine dinning restaurant for over a decade...and nothing has really changed. Wouldn't say in the top 5 for fine dinning Indian, however, still very good food. Can't understand why decor after 10 odd years still is the same and a little dated. Perhaps just me. Anyway, food is very good. Always like the thaali options as great way to share and pick and mix. Had a street food thaali (full of starter type options) which is great to share. Also had a Shahi thaali (meat version) perfect. Polished off with a shrikand Mango cheesecake. Nice. Service not bad, considering were part of a large group.

This place is no short of a 5 star! The food here is absolutely amazing and purely Indian. We had the Nairobi samosas and the beg Manchurian for the starters which was pretty descent but probably not good for the price bracket they are in. For the main course we had their jungle chicken curry which reminded of the streets of Delhi. The place itself is nice with a cozy ambience and good private seating sections. Their alcohol selection is good with a mix of spirits and cocktails but unfortunately they don’t have any draft which was a no deal for me but overall its a good selection of bottles. The staff at the restaurant are extremely courteous and helpful. The best part is that they have the knowledge of the food they are serving (which is a like a lost art in the restaurants these days). Our server Anmol was quite aware of the dishes and served us brilliantly. Overall i would say a 4.5 but gave a 5 for the service. My ratings:- Food- 5/5 Ambience-4/5 Service-5/5 Price-4/5

We decided to head to Itihaas for a small birthday celebration. My diet is quite restricted (gluten free and plant based) but I was able to choose with confidence from the menu, and enjoy a mocktail as well. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pushy and excellent overall. We had a great meal, at a fair price, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Very good restaurant still since opening in early 2000’s food 10/10, service 8/10, can’t fault, major downside was ladies toilet very unpleasant same with the baby changing facility, I advise the toilets should be checked during service to check if in clean condition.

The Decor is beautiful! Absolutely stunning, authentic and very eye catching. Our 11 week old daughter is exclusively breastfed… this is my one worry whenever we go out to eat. We went ahead to explain to one of the gentlemen working there. He was so kind and so helpful that one of their private dining areas that was not being used he offered us to use so i could comfortably feed my daughter. They offered us a table at the back of the restaurant should we need to walk around to soothe her, and near to the bathroom & baby changing. They went above and beyond to pace our courses knowing we had a baby with us. Very patient, very kind people. The food was absolutely amazing! traditional flavours and dishes. would definitely recommend anyone to try here! Do not be put off by prices, the food is worth it! Will be going again. 10/10

We had a vegan meal here and it was superb! We had the chana massala dish and the tardka daal. They were spicy without being over powering, with lots of flavour. The rice was perfectly cooked and there's a vegan roti (the naans aren't vegan) which again was really good. It was a nice atmosphere and good service. Curries are between £9-15 and we shared a rice and bread between 2 which was plenty. A good range of drinks.

Lovely food and atmosphere, moderately priced and friendly waiters. All meat is halal for anyone wandering. Surprised they don’t add service charge to the bill but they definitely deserve it :) . We ordered the dhaniya chicken and lamb biryani. Chicken was very tender. Lamb biryani was good but lamb was slightly tough maybe due to cut. Otherwise all great. The trio kulfi looked tempting but will try when I revisit!

Came for my birthday and the food didn’t disappoint. Ideally wanted to try the lamp chops but weren’t available. However the rest of the food was amazing.

The food was delivered within 15 mins and the taste was excellent. The restaurant has more tables in the basement so you have more space. I strongly suggest to book a table before visiting. A good place to have a get together, family dinner, etc. Toilets are in the basement (male/female separate). There is a waiting area at the ground floor (a very good cushioned sofas, books to read and chess board to play until you get the table or relax yourself after eating). Good news for alcohol lovers and party lovers: this restaurant serves liquor (many varieties which includes cocktails, mocktails, gin, rum, wine, and more).

Came here for a work Christmas meal. Easy to book, staff were lovely, food reasonably priced for the generous portions you get and the atmosphere was lovely! Would recommend for large groups, will definitely come back again to try the Sunday thaali

We visited this excellent restaurant last week for a birthday celebration. The quality of authentic food is seriously good, excellent attentive waiters with good humour and overall positive vibe. We had a great time, this is the place to go for excellent Indian food. I do not normally leave reviews and have been to many Indian restaurants.. I will definitely be back - thanks Ithiaas Birmingham and keep up the great work - kudos to your chefs / team. Thanks

The new Bottomless Thali is fantastic, tasty and so filling. At around £25pp and as much as you can eat you can’t go wrong 👍🏼

Went for an early dinner on a Friday night. The place has a really traditional feel to it, a nice change from a lot of modern, glossy, neon lit restaurants. The dining area is comfortable with a mix of cosy booths and bigger tables the subtle lighting adds to the traditional atmosphere. The Service was faultless and although it was busy, we were never rushed, the staff were friendly and engaging but not intrusive. The food was second to none, we shared the 'Garden Platter' vegetarian starters, the menu suggests 2 to 3 people to share, and I'd agree. Everything on the platter delighted, from the samosa to the mushrooms many different flavours that compliment each other perfectly. I'd highly recommend this platter. We decided to share a main (methi murgh) , rice and naan (the platter was huge) again the food was faultless. I would highlyrecommended Itihaas to anyone who enjoys real indian food in traditional (beautiful) surroundings, we'll worth checking out!

Delicious food! Perfect for Indian cuisine. We ordered Dahi puri, dal tarka, Chana masala with different types of bread - tandoori roti, lachcha paratha and rumali roti. Honestly, everything was so delicious and my family was so happy. Staff was very polite and professional. I really liked the interior and atmosphere. We were so full else we'd have definitely gone for gulabjamun 🤣 I'd definitely recommend it for whoever wants to have a delicious Indian meal in Birmingham. Amazing view, nice atmosphere and delicious food.

Food - Not up to the mark. Briyani was more like a curry rice. Overall, only the presentation was appealing. Price - Expensive. Service - Delayed Ambience - Awesome

The food portions were very filling, the taste was delicious and the service was amazing. Very jovial staff, my sister enjoyed her Birthday Dinner, they were so kind and made the experience x10 better. Overall 11/10 experience !!

What a gorgeous restaurant and incredibly nice staff. The food was so delicious, I do recommend the mushrooms as a starter. I went with my friend who is a vegan and there were plenty of options for him, the staff even offering to invent a dish for him. No vegan wines. They brought out a vegan cheesecake for me as a birthday treat. Amazing culture at this restaurant you really must visit.

A cosy & big restaurant. The interior decor is amazing and they have a very detailed bar with various selections. The food was simply amazing. The staff are good. Only feedback is that we were waiting for all of the members to arrive, till the starters were brought out. I understand this is the process when we go for a set menu. But almost 90% of the group were there. Otherwise the food was lovely and very well balanced
