I was hvaing a  lovely morning walk on a Sunday morning. I saw the Ed'd easy  diner which offered   delicious breakfast. i came in and  there was only one  occupied table of a  couple with thier toddler. I   said hi, and  all of sudden i was told by the  female host that they dont have halal food..i got surprised hy her response becouse i haven't  even asked her about halal food to begin with. Then i asked if they have a  veg.  Option Available she said yes. I wanted to sit on the window side but she  said that table is  for  4 ppl only, i told her politely but there is  literally no one else expet for those couple and me..she  hesitantly told me then you have to sit in this 4 ppl table.. whcih is  the  table next to the door. I felt upset the way she was talking to me as a human being  and as a costumer but i just ignoredit and  thanked her... but what made me feel more upset is the  fact that  thet were 2 other couples  came  and  she offered them to sit in the 4 seated table. As i assumed she would offer the other 2 couples to sit on the 2 ppl table, but she didn't, and happily offered the 4 ppl table. So the point wasnt becouse she was concerned that she qould fill the   more than eight 4 ppl table, but it was becouse of  something has to do with me The rest of the staff were extremely nice and  came  to check on me if i need any thing multiple times But i was really upset about how i was treated by the female staff.  And i felt i was treated based on the way i looked or  what she  thought my religion was.

After a hankering for a milk shake for way to long we decided to take a trip to Ed's Diner. The food menu had a variety to choose from. The burger was lovely. Portion sizes were way too big for us, we left alot unfortunately. The mac n cheese and coleslaw we didn't like much but it didn't put us off. The milkshake was the star of the show! I think we were served by a Liam? He was so friendly and attentive :)

Stopped by for breakfast and we were absolutely delighted in not only the quality of the food but at the service. Spotlessly clean. Would recommend

Had a lovely time here, the waitresses was very nice and the food was good. Unfortunately, my chicken burger was hard on the last few bites. But overall it was nice and I would come again but maybe order something different. My partners milkshake was amazing it came with a choc ice and was overflowing with cream and sauce.

The food here is really nice, but the reason for my low star rating is because of the attitude of one member of staff here. I didn’t catch her name unfortunately but she seemed to be like the head waitress maybe? I ordered the Coney Island hot dog and she said a waitress had put down I ordered just a normal hot dog. I didn’t. Then she went off and I heard her say to a waitress “she ordered a normal hot dog but has now changed her mind, she wants a Coney Island hot dog”. I absolutely did not change my mind. My fiancé is a witness, he can back me up on this. Also other members of staff really didn’t seem bothered with anything, a lot of tables were left with used plates and glasses on them. On a positive note we did get our food quickly with our drinks. Sadly, because of their shocking attitude, we won’t be coming again.

One of the best things about the place is its location. Situated in a 1 minute walking distance, across 2 foot bridges from the National Sealife in Birmingham, Lego world, and other wonderful side attractions. It had a lot of foot traffic Staff was friendly, and diner has this American themed. They serve the Ed's big breakfast all day for £10.97 although the advertising said £9.90. The breakfast was really filling and tasty too. We had enough space for a family of 5, and everyone got what they liked on the menu. Also, they had on stereo some cowboy rock and roll to set the mood. We got burgers and fries, among many things. We also got the chicken wings, which was a bit over fried, dry, and crunchy. It was a bit difficult for the kids to chew . Another thing I didn't like was that the bottomless drinks were self served. You had to call on the waiters to get it for you, and it seems to be a deterrent to get as much you might like.

Visited out of convenience after a trip to the nearby Sealife centre. Breakfast was very average, had a long wait between being served the food and receiving our drinks. Ended up getting a bottle of water out of my bag to do the job. I would've given one star but I have been here on an evening before when it was much better.

Food was amazing. The oreo milkshake was to die for. Service was bang on and food came out quite quick despite being busy. Will definitely be back in the future

Came for food here on Saturday. Restaurant was busy but we got a table quickly, and food came out in good time. Staff were really friendly and efficient, ensured we had everything we wanted. We asked for gluten free menu, which staff were helpful with. Food and drinks were both really great, will definitely be back again soon!

Food was excellent, service loses one star for one burger having pickles when ordered without pickles and one incorrect drink but otherwise couldn't fault apart from the latte. Probably one of the worst I've ever had, the best I can say about it is that it was wet and warm but honestly think they forgot to put any coffee in.

Had a very good experience eating at Ed's this weekend. Party of 5 with one celiac, we discovered they have a separate gluten free menu, perfect. I had the Beef and Blue cheese burger, which was divine, and cheesy gravy chips and onion rings, all of which were excellent. All our party rated the food highly and the staff were attentive and service was quick. I'll be back here again for sure, don't let the greasy spoon interior put you off because the food speaks for itself.

(2023/03/17) My 3rd time today, unfortunately not very pleasant. The last day of the 50% Off Offer, my waitress told me that I could use that offer as well as the Free Shake Voucher. I believed it without a doubt because that was exactly what I experienced days ago. During the checkout, another waitress suddenly asked me to pick one offer out of the two. She also told me the previous visit was an exception, they usually didn't allow multiple offers for a single order. If that was the case, the first waitress should make everything clear before I placed my order. She was new and didn't know it? Not a proper answer. I felt I was betrayed, had to pay more than expected in the end. Filthy Texan + Side Salad + Seasoned Fries = 8.75 (Originally 17.49) Great burger, fresh salad and big portion fries. Without the offer, still a bit overpriced. Half Rack Ribs = 6.99 The most delicious item for me so far, I would pay it for full price again without a doubt. Waffle Sandwich = 5.49 Too sweet for me. Much sweeter than the Shake, even mixing with the ice cream. White Chocolate Shake = 5.69 (Not Free) For me, even better than the Lotus Biscoff one and the Nutella one. The only problem was when I was enjoying it, I didn't know I had to pay for it even with a Free Shake Voucher. The 50% Off Offer is over, but I might consider visiting again very soon if today's dining went well. Unfortunately, not the case. Let's wait for the next big period and call it a day for now. (2023/03/12) I visited here for my 2nd time today, not a show day this time of course. Finally, I was able to use the 50% Off Offer. Additionally, I grabbed two Free Shakes in one go! One for joining the Ed's Club and the other for providing a feedback for my previous visit. BBQ Cheese & Bacon Dog + Mac & Cheese + Seasoned Fries = 7.40 (Originally 14.79) The Hot Dog was huge and dirty. Wouldn't say it was the best I have ever had, but still great quality. As a side note, I think the Seasoned Fries are better than the Waffle Fries. With this limited 50% Off Offer, absolutely an excellent meal deal. The ideal price should sit inbetween the two, maybe. Lotus Biscoff Shake = Free (Originally 5.69) Nutella Shake = Free (Originally 5.69) The Shakes were huge! Just one shake per person per meal should be enough. Ordering two in one go was too much. Had a tough time of finishing both Shakes, the result of being greedy. Thick Shakes but not very sweet, a bit special. The 50% Off Offer will be available till 17th of March. I'm planning to have another visit by then. Well even if I could grab two Free Shakes again next time or even three, I wouldn't do it again trust me. Just 50% Off 1 Main and 2 Sides with a Free Shake, a perfect meal. (2023/03/10) Had a visit today at 4pm for the first time, the experience was okay overall but nothing more for now. It was a show day, didn't know that! I was very surprised to get a limited Show Menu and of course, the delicious 50% Off Offer was not available. Came for the big offer though, imagine my shock. Dirty Deli Burger + Mac & Cheese + Waffle Fries = 14.99 Wait, wasn't it 15.99 on the Show Menu? Somehow I paid the price on the Normal Menu, didn't know why. The burger was great and the sides were fine. With that price, I definitely expected something more. 4 Chicken Wings = 4.99 Yea of course the price 5.49 on the Show Menu didn't apply, because we should use the Normal Menu here again. I mean come on man, let's just avoid the show days from now on. Wings not bad, not cheap though! Without any deals or offers, a little bit overpriced from my point of view. Bigger portion or better taste, otherwise not very competitive. I guess one of their biggest selling points is the atmosphere? The service was efficient and friendly, could be better though. I will have another visit sometime next week, just want to check the authenticity of the 50% Off Offer and the Free Shake.

I really like the idea behind this, American style 50's? Diner. The food was really good, if a bit pricey. The service was swift and friendly. Will probably visit again, but for special occasion, not as a regular eatery.

It’s an American diner in the middle of the Birmingham Arena, and close to Birmingham central, the decor is a nice balance of American and diner with lots of red, there is a juke box on each table, it doesn’t work at the moment maybe it does if it gets fixed. The food is tasty, with generous portion size, I did love the fries, the hot dog is especially tasty with lots of flavour. The staff are attentive with a quick service

Lovely dinner in American style, staff was very friendly and polite. Food is not the best but it’s really enjoyable. It was fresh, well done and served quiet fast. Affordable prices. However the Shake was awesome 🥤

Awesome food, helpful staff. Enjoyed it so much we went twice. Went with my partner and our two young children. The first time our server was super friendly and helpful, was very attentive and we always had everything we needed. Second time it was busier, as it was the lunchtime rush, so understandable that the server we had this time was busy - would have been nice had she asked about refills a little more often, as there is no way to do it yourself. However, both visits the food was excellent, definitely recommend if you enjoy american-style food.

Hot dog was luke warm and salty, was disappointed with this as I thought it would be a lot better being an American style restaurant. The nachos were tasty but didn't have much cheese.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the sea life centre with our two children who are 3 and 8 months. When we arrived I asked the staff to be seated a bit away from other customers for privacy to breastfeed my 8 month old. The waitress was extremely helpful and understanding which was much appreciated. The staff were friendly helpful and very good with our children. The food was really tasty and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in quickly to grab a few shakes & was not disappointed. 2 oreo shakes & a malted strawberry were ordered & my god they were good! You can add malted to any of the shakes & I advise you to do so as it makes it taste so much better. The food smelled & looked amazing but we didn't order this time, will definitely be returning to try the food

A retro American diner with a good selection of reasonably priced food. Unfortunately the chicken and waffles I ordered was very dry and the milkshakes weren't impressive either. The atmosphere is unique and the staff were excellent. Unfortunately cannot recommend.

Great food and great atmosphere, the new manager Emily has really turned the place around. I noticed both he restaurant and the toilets are were very clean and as soon as people were leaving the tables were cleaned again. The service is great and all the staff are pleasant and friendly. Can't recommend highly enough and definitely going back soon.

Choice of burgers and hot dogs as you would expect as its an American diner style eating place. Staff quick, friendly and efficient. Pricey as paid £30 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks, but due to location it is expected.

When we entered Ed’s it wasn’t very busy. We were seated and it took a long time for us to get served. It then took longer for the drinks to come, and even longer for the food. We were seated for over 40 minutes, to the point where one of our party had to leave so she wasn’t late for work and take her food in a box. In those 40 minutes, the restaurant had gradually become quite busy but people who came in a lot later than us were served a lot quicker. Overall, the food was okay- but a bit on the bland side. The chicken could have done with some black pepper, and the cheese on the fries was quite lacklustre, but overall it was okay for a quick lunch.
