I
booked
the
7-course
vegetarian
option
on
my
wife's
birthday,
and
the
experience
was
a
culinary
disaster.
The
atmosphere
was
good
but
not
as
impressive
as
expected
for
a
Michelin-starred
restaurant.
It
gave
off
more
of
an
ordinary
Indian
restaurant
vibe.
Even
Chaiiwala
has
better
atmosphere
and
decor.
The
staff
was
welcoming,
and
the
service
was
quick;
however,
the
interaction
when
serving
the
dishes
was
minimal
and
rushed.
They
barely
explained
the
dishes
or
why
they
were
chosen
for
the
7-course
meal.
The
cocktails
we
ordered
were
overly
sweet,
as
if
made
by
an
inexperienced
mixologist
and
when
we
asked
to
replace
they
took
such
a
long
time
that
we
already
finished
our
2
courses
in
that
time.
Now,
onto
the
food.
Being
vegetarian,
there
are
multiple
options
in
their
menu,
especially
for
vegetarian.
Our
experience
with
the
7-course
meal
was
an
absolute
disaster,
especially
considering
the
hefty
£70
per
person
price
tag
(food
only).
The
food,
which
should
have
been
the
highlight,
fell
short
from
start
to
finish.
Out
of
our
7
courses,
4
were
Pakoras
(see
attached
pictures),
which
were
excessively
oily
and
lacking
in
creativity
or
flavour.
2
course
was
ordinary
paneer
dish
and
1
was
dessert
(halwa).
When
we
discussed
our
food
experience
with
the
manager,
he
claimed
it
was
due
to
our
request
for
quick
service,
even
though
we
made
that
request
after
our
5th
course.
In
summary,
our
visit
to
Lasan
turned
out
a
huge
disappointment.
The
high
price
did
not
match
the
quality
of
the
food
or
service
in
any
way.
We
left
the
restaurant
feeling
not
only
disappointed
but
also
frustrated
that
we
had
wasted
our
money
on
such
a
subpar
dining
experience.
If
you're
seeking
a
memorable
dining
experience
for
a
special
occasion,
it's
best
to
look
elsewhere
and
avoid
Lasan.
