The food was DELICIOUS. The staff were so amazing, and so helpful. Expensive but a great place to go with your partner in the evening. Small plates of food so get a couple. Make sure you try the PASTA and the truffle chips, so good.

Really exceeded my expectations. Lively little Italian restaurant with affordable prices and great food. The servers were really nice and accommodating and I would definitely go back again.

Always have a great experience when visiting Fumo. It’s tucked away at the top of Selfridges Birmingham & the wait is never long. If you haven’t been before, it’s worth noting that portion sizes are more tapas style, but 3/4 dishes to share between two is enough. Food arrives at random as and when it’s ready and the service is fantastic!

Been here a few times, Gorgeous restaurant with amazing decor always popped in for a quick brunch after retail therapy. Food was ok pretty small portion, pistachio was amazing! Abit noisy inside the restaurant as it’s located in the middle of the store and music can be loud.

Came here in the summer and left due to no service. This time around we sat at the bar, there was a great vibe and the drinks were exceptional. Had bruschetta and avo salad to keep us going until dinner and it was delicious (bruschetta not very crisp though and loads of tomatoes!) bar staff were very friendly. A great pit stop from shopping. Highly recommend!

Food was ok, we didn't understand what the female manager was saying, she said something about tapas, which confused us. The food was bigger than a tapas portion but smaller than a main meal. I had the lobster special, there was hardly any lobster under the shell, very disappointing. Mixed salad and pizza were OK, nothing special.

We had been here around selfridges for some shopping and we just stopped by in Fumo. Was a busy day for them but they were able to find a table for us. Friendly and hospitable staff. The pinot grigio and the garlic bread that was served to us was a good combination. Thank you very much for accommodating us.🥂👌👌

Let's start with a positive, the food was good; well cooked, flavoursome from an interesting menu. However, the service was appallingly slow; no-one took a drinks order or acknowledged us for some time. This then took 10 minutes to be served. The system of plates being delivered was explained, however we ordered sides of broccoli and fries which didn't arrive until we had eaten the other plates, in order for them not to get cold. I am sure most people don't really want to just eat these separately; maybe I'm wrong. We chose not to pay the 10% descretionary service charge automatically added. This was rewarded with a 'huff' after asking for it to be removed. Overall I thought it was overpriced, due to the poor service and a shame as was quite looking forward to the visit.

Not sure what happened in regards to my order, but my partner drink and desert arrived promptly and look tasted delish. Mine unfortunately never arrived, and staff did not come to table to check, so by the time she had finished plate it was still a no show so asked for bill had to remind them they had not served me as they had billed for items. Paid and left, no apology was offered and it was not like the restaurant was busy. Not sure I would recommend, maybe there was a problem in the kitchen or staff shortage, but nobody was forthcoming with info. Hope you enjoy your day.

Food was really disappointing - very basic food. Service wasn’t great. It felt like they were rushing us out so they could get more people in. We will definitely not return.

Came for my birthday lunch and was greeted like an old friend by giovanni and his staff. Giada was very helpful and recommended some amazing dishes. Glad I've moved back to Birmingham so I can enjoy this great place again

Coming from a working class background it was suprising to see portion sizes here smaller and the prices higher than I'm usually accustomed to. For example we ordered a Mixed grill for around £18 and it was one cut for each meat. The quality of food was obviously very good indeed. It was a new experience to have the food orders come as and when they are prepared, not as starters then mains etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful but there were a few moments where they had forgotten to carry out your request. Also they never seemed to be in a rush. The dessert was out of this world... Millefoglie is the one 😍!!!

Dishes are absolutely delicious and tingle every aspect of the taste buds. I had the grilled steak and potatoes, my daughter had spaghetti and prawns The portion sizes are quite small though

Cocktails were perfect 🥰 but fried Kingprawns... the portion was too small 😂 (three prawns for dish?!) But the mood, the drink was👍... I might visit this place again !

The atmosphere is nice Food proportion are small, the pizza is really small ( it’s just dough and tomato sauce why are you serving it this small) and it doesn’t really taste that special, I asked the waiter for parmesan cheese twice but he didn’t bring me anything, very over-priced for the quantity and taste, I went for the first time for a special occasion but I was disappointed, not going back again
