I absolutely adore this park because it’s one of the boggiest and most amusing parks in Birmingham! You have lakes , you have cafes, you have posh restaurants with lake view ! STUNNING, what else you want from a day out in nature ?! This is like all in one ♥️

A vast expanse of beautiful nature. I love going on peaceful walks as there's such a variety of flora & fauna. One moment you can be surrounded by trees and woodland, the next you're traipsing through open fields as far as the eye can see. Sometimes you'll be lucky enough to come across the grazing cows (just don't be tempted to get too close, as this is how people/dogs get injured from a spooked herd).

A beautiful, natural place - worth picking up a map from the visitors centre if you have never been as the park is huge. 7 lakes, lots of streams, a mixture of good paths suitable for an easy bike ride / buggies and prams and lots of trails more 'off the beaten track'. A mixture of woodland and more open fields. There are a couple of kids playgrounds and a couple of spots to get a cup of coffee etc, but it's mostly a wonderful natural get away from the busy world!

Such a wonderful place to spend time. Walking, running, mountain biking, golfing or simply enjoying a picnic. Come rain or shine this has something for everyone. A mixture of paved areas and secluded woodland tracks the ever changing scenery never fails to wow.

Beautiful park, lots of paths to follow. Bistro on site serves snacks, hot drinks and a selection of alcoholic drinks. Plenty of outdoor seating. Staff very polite and friendly. Ice cream van on park also

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy walking through country parks a lot. It's just probably better to go here during the week when it's quieter. Lots of dog walkers and cyclists. Although a lot of paths are paved there are still paths that can be used that are not but these seem to be churned up by previously mentioned cyclists. So a bit of a quagmire if it's been raining. Cars are parked all over the place, forcing people to walk into the roads in places. A sad reflection of modern society. When you do get to the lake area, though, it is quite beautiful and if it wasn't for earlier reasons then this would score higher. Just go during the week to have a more enjoyable time.

Birmingham has more trees than any other European city and Sutton Park is a huge contributor to this. The park apparently once a hunting ground for King Henry the 8th also has a stretch of Roman road. Cows are permitted to graze in the summer, model aircraft enthusiasts operate all year round. There are lakes, two restaurants and bike hire. Free parking and miles of walks makes Sutton Park a must visit destination.

We have very impressive experience. A must visit place in Midlands with or without family or with friends. Close to nature experience. Good for photography. Bring food with you and have a great picnic.

Wonderful park and such an education every time. Love the markers on the ground telling you the history of the park as you walk round. Met the wild ponies for first time and enjoyed watching them wallow in the shallow pools and roll around in the mud. Totally recommend this for cycling, walking (Inc dogs), ice creams and just the peace n quiet. Large park but can use online maps or visit the park office where there are displays and educational information. Parking is plentiful.

One of my favorite parks in Birmingham it's huge you can always find a spot where you won't be disturbed . 3 more water spots , flowing river , herd of cows , swans, donkeys ducks ,fishes, squirrels, rabbits this park has loads of wild life even bats that you can see flying around your head at the waters edge of you are there late enough . You can take a good 3 hours walk to get to the other side .

My favourite dog walking place in the whole of the Midlands. Open moor Land, woods for cool shade and lots of paddling in streams and swimming in lakes for my dog. Large enough that even when it's very busy you can walk further into the park and get away from the busyness... most people stay neater the entrances. So large that you can walk all day and not cover the same ground twice. A fantastic place for a day trip and picnic... even better if you have a dog with you though 😉

Beautiful nature reserve just on the edge of Birmingham located in Sutton Coldfield. The place itself has a lot to offer. You can spend a day exploring it. It also has a water body where you can go swimming if the weather allows for it. There is also a restaurant where you can grab a bite. Overall a very beautiful park.

Awesome day out for the kids. So many adventures and such a vast area to explore. We stayed near the lake and the kids loved climbing the trees and skimming stones.

Stunning park in Sutton Coldfield with so many different walks and views. This park is easily accessible with many different gates. Each gate has free parking available with access to all areas of the park. It’s great for dog walking too, and there’s even a donkey sanctuary. There are a number of cafes and restaurants around the park offering coffee and food. You can take a picnic and enjoy all areas of the park but open fires are not allowed.

Absolutely lovely park. We went to Brace bridge for something to eat which was delicious but there's the actual pub with a covered outdoor area and then there's an outdoor kiosk that serves the same food (slightly cheaper) that has an uncovered area to sit outdoors - albeit with covered huts (however if you don't like spiders you won't want to sit in one of these!) You can't swap areas - which left quite a few guests including ourselves mystified. Other than this to sit with a glass of wine looking over the lake was lovely.

Sutton Park, it’s a walkers paradise. It’s a big space so if you’re looking for a good long walk Sutton Park offers you miles and miles, with various car parks dotted around. I’ve added this location to my list of walks. With tracks grass trees and lakes it’s park-life para-para-paradise, it’s para-para-paradise. La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la

It's a lovely and big park to practice some good outdoor activities from walking, cycling with your family around the park, canoeing, paddle boarding, archery, golf, running, reading to exploring the area and make few good photographs around the park. You got some nice parking spot, from little to big restaurant where you can have some good food. I wish I can see more bins around this park, as I see few nasty people throwing garbage where they can!

Fantastic nature reserve with lots of walking trails and routes get lost on. Lots of history and lots of wildlife. Lakes, open pasture, woodland. Many gates to enter, with car parks....some with toilets, cafes, pub etc, some gates are straight into nature with no amenities or facilities. Love a long dog walk here on a regular basis

One of best parks in Birmingham. It’s massive and great place for a walk. There are two lakes, one of them you can do boating. Landscape is very different at different part of the park. You can also see cattle and ponies. Parking is free outside April -September. You can always park at the nearby residential area. Park run is also available at Sutton park. The route includes some up Hill’s and down hills. Mostly hard surface.

Fabulous park with so much space to explore. However I didn't see any restrooms or playgrounds for children. Perhaps it depends on which entrance you use

Wide open areas with woods dotted around for a great walk around the park. Mostly gravel walkways but can go overland on trails.

Park itself is gorgeous - loads of routes to take, plenty of different sights and types of terrain. Just fantastic. Unfortunately it seems to have ran down a bit since my last visit (10+ years ago!). Sadly there aren't many cafes (that were open at least - I saw a few boarded up graffitid huts) or places to sit and eat/drink/bathrooms etc, except for the Tony Carvery. Sadly a lot of the land also has rubbish (coffee cups, plastic bags etc). Such a pity as the park itself is really lovely.

It was a great experience in walking here. After a long time, I had the feeling of walking in a forest area. Though this place is in the heart of the town, but it seems to be perfect gateway from anxiety and tensions. I will be coming here again and hopefully to enjoy a little bit more.

This is quite a distance for me as i live in Halesowen, but i always make the effort and it is well worth the journey. Extremely large park with loads of car parks at various points in the park. Lakes, coffee shops and cafes all inside the park. Plenty of benches, seating areas and numerous different walking routes are available. Beautiful at all times of the year. Highly recommended.
