We booked to go for little ones birthday on a weekday. There’s reasonable parking about 5 mins walk away on Gas Street rather than parking at Brindley place. We booked with a 2 for 1 voucher, which wouldn’t go through online. But the voucher didn’t want to go through, when we got to the venue, the assistant kindly refunded us 1 ticket which was great as it was £50 for 2 of us to go in with little one. The venue was well decorated with Lego everywhere, the first zone with famous sites of Birmingham in Lego was amazing. There was only 3 sections we can go to after that: 1. A little car ride where you can shoot the evil Lego. 2. A magical cycling boat merry go round. 3. 4d cinemas, this was great film, however the amount of water being sprayed on you was disgusting and we were half soaked. Little one didn’t enjoy this either. It was overdone! After these sections there was little areas of play for entertainment, like building your own Lego section, a large soft play, a baby soft play, the gift shop and a few other mini Lego feature areas, but these were closed as last entry was 1pm, for closing at 3:39pm. We were also given a Lego trading card to play trumps with the employees to win a price, but as we were last entry at 1pm, they didn’t play it which was a bit disappointing as would have been nice to play and win for little ones birthday. There was a little cafe for food, however at 2pm they had already sold out of all hot food and sandwiches, it was just drinks left and flapjacks. The flapjacks were £1 each and hot drinks £3ish each, which feels quite reasonably priced. Overall, we were finished within 2 hours, and we felt a bit disappointed at the day out. (I don’t know if we went at the weekend and it would have been busier, therefore taken more time to go around). On the upside as we got 1 ticket refunded, it was £25 for all 3 of us, it felt the right amount to pay. For the day and age range, It feels suitable more for the younger kids under 6 if they love Lego. But based on the price to visit and actual things to do, we felt it wasn’t worthwhile and probably won’t come back again. It was however a nice half day out and experience.

Great for kids. 4D cinema is great as are the two rides. The city of Birmingham is brilliant and looks amazing, some of the features weren't working, shame there was no train on the rails too. The cost to enter is high for what you get as the. Ost you can spend here is a few hours. Activity packs do for kids cost £5 each though they get a little figure at the end. Other activities so cost extra. Overall good for a few hours, kids will love it but could be cheaper.

Well worth a visit if you have younger kids. My daughter is 10 and loved it but would say it is aimed at 10 years and younger. There are 2 different rides to go on, a 4D cinema and a small model village. The rest of the time is spent building models.

Great experience for the kids, there is lots to do from building various Lego to a small ride inside the venue which was good fun. Only downside is that when it gets busy the Lego pieces are everywhere and not really easy for kids to make anything and gets really crowded. The Lego workshop is really good where you pay for a session and get to keep what you build. The Lego city they have created is amazing work, kids really enjoyed it due to it being interactive.

Always suggest to buy standard ticket. I have been to different lego city compare to that it’s very tiny. Kid’s will get bored soon, no much activity. If you want to spend couple of hours than it’s a perfect place. Hassle free entry, staffs are friendly. Suggest book your ticket in advance

A very entertaining place to be and kids loved it. As it is an indoor place so can be visited any time really. Plan for at least 2/3 hours. A good collection of activities for all age children including a theater, a soft play area and rides. A good flavor of the real Legoland.

My 3 year old had a lovely time here. It is much smaller than expected but for his age it was perfect. He loves anything to do with cars so his favourite thing was making cars and sending them down the ramps. There is also soft play, 4dx cinema (which was fun), a few rides and a Lego village with buttons that make certain things happen in the little village. A really lovely day out building and playing with Lego. The reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the cafe only serving drinks and snacks. I was hoping we could get a bit of lunch in there but they don't do anything like that.

2 rides, 3 4D shows, a virtual reality experience, a soft play area, model City, and building stations. Plenty to do and lots of fun for all the family! There's a coffee shop inside the play area with large windows so you can reenergise as your kids continue to play. Love it!

Fun afternoon out! Not as big as I imagined it would be but we still all had a really great afternoon out. I especially liked the 4d cinema but the kids loved the little track the race the cars they'd made.

Better than I expected. The 4D movie experience was a favourite, you actually get wet! The little train ride with a shoot em up was fun. Pedal fast on the Merlin ride! In all really nice place, so well maintained and friendly staff.

Initially we booked 2 adult tickets to go before my daughter turned 3, unfortunately due to lockdown circumstances we couldn't go earlier on in the year and our booking was cancelled. Today when I tried to confirm times they said I had to pay additional £22.50 for my 3 year old. I then took my daughter on my own using both adult tickets for myself and my daughter. I felt a little cheated that it was not our fault it was due to lockdown. Plus using an adult ticket to pay for my child. However, on the plus side, my daughter enjoyed her first legoland experience, lego building activities and the soft play areas, it was busy but all the children and adults were having a good time. There were 2 rides, I was expecting more. Overall my daughter had a 'good day'. It's, ideal for children under 5!

Found this utterly boring. Small place with two rides, which adults can accompany children on. There is a cafe located inside. We spent approximately 1 hour here. Only really suitable for young children who live Lego. My 14 year old did not enjoy this.

It's a small Legoland discovery good for day outing if the kids are bored. Not much going on during the week. Long wait times between ride times and some rides not open. No characters available like at other locations and not much fanfare but it is clean and has a nice city center display.

Good for kids aged 4 and above. There are some games for kids younger than that. But that's not worth the ticket. The 4d movie effects are good but the story and volume levels didn't appeal to us. Will not go here again for another 2 years for sure. And it's small.

Great experience for the kids. Very easy check-in with quick flowing queues. A 4D cinema and a couple of rides just add to the experience. We easily spent around 4 hours here and are very much eager to return back. It's always fun playing with Lego with your kids. Can be a bit hard to find somewhere to sit but shouldn't complain about that. Decent soft play area for kids who like running about.

Legoland...a fascinating place for kids that love lego/Duplo. Downsize: Is becoming crowded with long queues for the attraction, lego all mixed up. Bit small on the number of people inside. The quests are difficult to complete. Good indoor playground.- kids loved this part🥰 4D cinema kept us entertained. Wizard ride also good ( long ques )

Kids loved the place... Not massive but again not too small either... Or was real fun and if visiting alongside Sea life them a combined ticket is a great value... There are 2 rides there which are included in the price of the ticket and a bonus... 4D movie is also included and have paid separate in most places for that experience... There is a paid workshop which is worth payment but they let you take the thing you make and is really good... The person conducting the workshop was very nice and interactive too... There is a small cafe with coffee shop and a microwave baby food and milk in the cafe... There are soft play areas and lots of lego put in different places for kids to play with... There is a mini city section where there are lots of local landmark buildings made with lego... There is lighting in those buildings to give effect of day and night... Parking isn't available for LEGOLAND but you can park and local car parks and most people have recommended Q-Park at Brindley place although might cost up to £10 for 4 hours...

Wasn't too bad. But for the money, I thought there would be more there. Was surprised to see how many people weren't wearing masking given the social restrictions in Birmingham.

Lovely place, easy accessible with parking just few minutes away. Staff is very polite. Waiting time can be from few to ten minutes. This Lego centre is more suitable for younger children till age 8-9yo.

Had a fab time at the adult night only event. Loved the experience from start to finish. Ride was fun, enjoyed the 4D cinema experience and building experience. Loved the level of details went into the Lego city. Absolutely fun night. Highly recommended after stressful day at work. Become a master builder because everything is awesome!

This is a lovely attraction for primary aged children, I took my 10 and 11 year old and they were a little too old for the rides. They enjoyed the 4d film and being able to build and play with the lego. The shop has so much choice although not necessarily the best prices.

We have been on 5th August, we have waited in a big queue outside, there wher only 2 members of staff to check-in all the bookings for 13:00 it took roughly 15 min. Otherwise inside everything was very well organized and made you feel safe. To go at the cinema, or to go in the rides they have created a special schedule so we could enjoy everything. Soft play area are closed because of covid. Overall was very good, not to many people inside. Definitely worth going!

This was our first visit to Birmingham Lego discovery centre and it's pretty much a carbon copy of the Manchester one. It's clean and tidy but my main gripe is the attraction let far too many people in, with not enough seating for people to have their lunch. Also seems to be zero ventilation and I couldn't wait to get outside for some air.

great fun. we took part in mosaic marking that will (when complete) be displayed in the sea life centre. both me 6 and 13 year old had fun. we went on a Saturday morning it wasn't as busy as I thought. The staff were friendly and the 4d cinema was fun there is 3 different movies to see which change every 30 min, so to see all 3 you need to stay at up to 1 1/2hrs. but there is plenty to do while you wait.

We went to Legoland discovery on a weekday (teacher strike) we arrived at 10.30 with prebook tickets. We booked In at the NIA carpark (literally a few minutes walk!) We queued for a few moments (10mins max) to get scanned In and started our adventure. It was very quiet which was lovely, all the staff went above and beyond. Especially the lady who was supervising the VR experience (I cannot remember her name... for the sake of the review ill call her "A") but she went above and beyond to give my son a great experience. She told us about the RAP pass which her colleague Jack sorted (he was on the merlin ride) he then answered any questions, got us on and was very kind. When we went to the Knight ride "A" opened it at 12.30 and greeted my son using his name, and got him straight onto the pass using the rap pass. My son felt like a VIP! Another highlight was the master builder who was another female. She was soooo polite, answered all our questions (even my dad's) and made it so enjoyable. The soft play is great. Two different sections keeping the under 5s in a separate area opposite, the coffee shop was very clean and the lady that served me in there was very polite. The mini land (mini model area) was full of detail that even my son recognised the buildings in the car on our way home (art museum) It's definitely great for younger children but had enough to entertain my son who is 8. Love the fact that there is several stations for children to build, experiment with vehicles in various race facilities and even compete in the daily build challenge. The VR extra was great experience for my VR mad son. It's only a small bit so don't book it on for the entire family prior. And you can book it on the day. Plenty of accessibility areas, wheelchair friendly (NIA car park - go to south level 11 and your literally straight there) Food - there's plenty of options, even for fussy children that like the simple tastes in life ham / cheese sandwich etc. Lots of seating so you can have a nice cuppa whilst the kids build and enjoy it (all on one level) We didn't do the 4d cinema as my son doesn't enjoy them but I'll be visiting again with just my younger daughters in the near future and will review this place as a toddler parent. Also if you do buy photos keep the reciept as you get the digital copies free 😉 We revisited in summer holidays and it continues to be a great place to visit. I can easily manage 3 children including 2 toddlers on my own . All staff are fab. A new lady whose only been there one month went above and beyond for my family .

Thoroughly enjoyed first visit with toddler. It’s not geared towards older lego fans. Could improve on hand sanitisers being restocked and the gift shop was lacking- hardly anything in stock compared to the Bullring store but overall great play day for toddler. If we lived in the city a yearly pass would be worth the money!

  • 5/5 Kristjan B. 5 months ago on Google
Loved this almost as much as the kids. Having been traumatised by a recent visit to Legoland (near 1 hour queues for every 90 second ride, too busy, too expensive) this healer those wounds. We were lucky to go the week before local half term- so the place was much quieter. This meant our kids got to do any activity almost instantly from making things to riding. It’s still not cheap, but the experience was awesome. If this is the kind of thing your kids like then do it- you won’t regret it.

Great fun, well worth the £12 for 1 adult and 1 child under 5. Had a blast and was great fun, 4d cinema, soft play, rides, story time. Lost a star due to location was a pain to find with no clear signage from outside and workshop not available as it was booked for a school visit.

  • 4/5 Alice T. 5 months ago on Google
Great indoor activity day for Lego fans. Soft play is very popular, as is the race track where you can race your own Lego cars. As a parent I loved the minibrum. 4 stars because I think there were too many people allowed in at one time, the lights are very bright and it can at times feel like a sensory overload.

Quite surprised how much we loved it. We have a merlin pass amd it was a rainy day so decided to book this. Our boy is only 3 so slowly getting him I to lego and this place is perfect for that. Loads of free play with lego, bright cool stuff all over. Little soft play inside, cinema, x2 rides and more. Cafe you can eat. Reasonable price. Lego making was abit of a nightmare as soooo much is mixed up or you just can't make the stuff as parts missing. 9/10 day.

This is the second time we’ve been. This visit was extremely busy; it took 15 minutes for us to check in (we were first in the queue, there was just a lack of staff). Once in, there were so many people it was impossible to actually do anything. My son couldn’t build a car to push down the track as there weren’t enough pieces and we didn’t fancy scrambling on the floor for them. The wheel he found sufficed for him but there were multiple kids climbing and sliding down the tracks (both of them) my 4 year old couldn’t play. The adventure ride was closed for maintenance and when it was reopened the lady told us not to bother as there was a 40 minute queue. In honesty, unless you can build and play on the tracks, there’s not much else to do, especially when it’s so busy. The cafe is an absolute tip, so filthy. The only place that wasn’t busy with plenty of staff hanging around doing nothing - pick up a broom and start sweeping would be my recommendation as it’s filthy. Friends that went there two weeks prior also commented on the dirt levels. Will not be returning. So glad we used Clubcard vouchers and didn’t have to waste our money.

A fun place to go with kids. Big kids at heart are only permitted with actual small kids here however. There is a fun short ride as you enter, laser blast style as you go round on the track. A 4D cinema short and another small ride is also present inside. Usual Lego models a plenty based on the Birmingham area, keep your eyes peeled for the small details. A small soft play is available for kids, a cafe with basic food and drink is inside. Lego building stations are available to build whatever the imagination desires. It can get rather busy inside. As it is designed for children, do note some children get rather excited and may take over your personal space when it's busy. Toilets are available inside. Worth a visit, best off peak though.

  • 5/5 Imran D. 2 years ago on Google
Great fun place for lego fans! It would be great, if there is a booklet or an app that's provides instructions for kids who needs some help. But for creative kids/adults, there is more lego pieces to build something to their taste. I have booked online with an creative workshop and an activity pack as well, in which activity pack is a waste of money for two badges. Don't take it up. Otherwise the kingdom quest was a fun shooting game and miniature land was admirable.

Do not attend!! Waste of money!! Everything is either timed slotted or it is closed. You pay nearly 100 quid to be able to do nothing . Contact lego and they talk about a red box popping up on the screen warning us of this. I must be blind as i never seen this. We should be warned at the time of booking!! Every good review I believe is an inside job. I do not recommend

Great place. The snack bar could use a little more diversity in terms of sandwiches and beverages. And the toilets weren't that clean. But the staff was very kind and reachable. I've spent 10 minutes with the master builder asking for some advices on my kids Lego constructions... overall really affordable and the 4D cinema was very appreciated. We will most certainly do that again.

Had a lovely time here with my Lego obsessed 5 year old. Small attraction but definitely worth a visit for any child that loves Lego and us aged 3-10. Staff were helpful and friendly and there was lots to do. There is a Costa coffee shop that offer a range of hot and cold drinks and a child or adult sandwich meal deal. Not sure I would want to pay the full ticket price but definitely worth looking online for a discount ticket offer.

Loved it, we wasn't sure how my 2 year old would be but he showed us how much he loved Lego and his reaction was priceless. Safe to say that Lego has an array of benefits so long as young children are supervised. Plenty to do and you will easily spend an 1-2 hours here. Shop was clean and well stocked allowing me to make some purchases for my son and also coming across some rare creator set which was bought as a gift.

For the price, it's a waste of money. Possibly because of COVID, but even then I have a feeling it would still be rather blah. A 120-second ride, followed by aimless walking around seeing LEGO Brum (probably the best bit to be fair though) and then a wide-open area where you can experience the 4D cinema (not that 4D) and not much more. Pay £5 for an "Activity Book" and walk out with a sole LEGO man handed out from a cup. Classy af. I'd give this a miss and opt for the SEALife Centre (don't buy the combo tickets).

Had a deal and was also over the canal at the other Merlin attractions. Loads to do and see, rides open throughout the "play session". I think to many people in the center as social distancing was pore on people wanting to get on rides and play with all the lego ( that's changed every new season). Mega friendly staff and very friendly towards the children and also the big kids ( the adults). Thanak all

Fun day out with the family, got a good deal on tickets as booked this along with Sealife Centre (flexibility of going on different days).
