Really nice little nature site in the middle of quite an urban area. For some reason the council don't seem to want to open the car park, so people have to park on the roads and annoy the locals. The route around the edge of the site is about 3miles, but there are other routes crossing the site. Generally the paths are quite wide and well maintained, some steps up and down... Also there are some really shear rocky outcrops to climb and collect "fossils" (rocks) from... Definitely worth a visit, can easily spend 4 hours there on a sunny day.

Nice walk, good for the cardio, but a bit rough on the knees due to the steepness. Plenty to see and information signs explaining all those fossils you vaguely remember from school. Car Park shuts at 3pm but afaikt is never open. 10am weekends was shut. You can also play "what flower is that" although Google lens does end the argument on sweet violets πŸ˜‚

Such a great spot for fossil hunting. So many beautiful shells and corals ALL over. Great spot for a kids day out and little walk. The views aren't great but the fossils make up for that!! There are little mountains to climb up and then loose rock fall and fossils for those who don't like a scramble!

Really interesting place to look around. You could easily spend several hours walking and fossil hunting. Great place to walk the dog. Car parking is free but limited to around 15 cars. Definitely worth a visit.

Come here often for walks with the dog. Nice variation or routes and not so busy.

Really nice walk, you wouldn't think you was in Dudley while there. The dog loves going up there. Only downfall was all the dog mess that people are too lazy to pick up after their dogs, shame those few scruffs have to ruin the walk for other people. Great for kids there if they are in to fossil hunting.

Good place to get the family out and moving. Loads of fossil's to find and adventures to be had. The car park was closed when we went today but there is parking on the road so wasn't a problem for us

I have mixed feelings, maybe because of the nature of the place. Overall - a good impression. An interesting story. I just don't understand why the car park closes at 3 p.m.

Peacefull walk with fossils, some great views and landmarks. It will take around 2 hours to see the whole site, There are no dog poo bins in the nature reserve, so please bring a bag and take your waste with you.

A great nature reserve. Fascinating 450 million year old seabed cliffs with chances of finding fossils just in the floor. A small carpark but plenty of nearby parking. Good info boards and a nearby pub. Well worth a visit.

Genuinely an amazing place to visit with little ones and anyone interested in fossils. We actually found some which excited myself and my child. If you have children or if you are interested, definitely worth a visit and you will go home with a free souvenir which is 428 million years old.

Fascinating sedimentary rocks with plenty of bedding planes exposed. The ripple beds are especially interesting and protected from climbing and sampling damage. Plenty of areas for kids (of all ages) to explore and find fossils.

Lovely place to walk around and take kids to look for fossils. Dont take digging equipment!! As not allowed. Would love to see the Severn Sisters caves open up but think it wouldn't be possible in these current times of cost cutting

Have been here a few times now. The kids love it. They dig and search for fossils. This is a lovely few hours out with the family. You need to sat nav it as you enter via housing estate. It's free and an educational visit.

One you get to the right area there are loads of fossils so you won't go home empty handed. It would be a great place for kids especially with a picnic on a hot day. There's also a pub within walking distance.

I'm glad I traveled to visit this place, it was interesting. We managed to find a few fossils. Now it says there is wheelchair access, however after taking my child in the pram, I found it very limited to what you could explore, which was rather disappointing, for this reason, I wouldn't revisit with a pushchair.

Brilliant place to visit - ideal for runners who want to give their training a bit of a boost with the trails and up down terrain. Great for kids climbing the quarry rocks , hunting for fossils and running around in the trees. Great for walking the dog also. Surprisingly a large location for its position just off Birmingham new road

Beautiful walk, couldn't believe such a beautiful walk has been on my doorstep all this time.. mixed ability... Some steep steps on yellow path but loved the challenge. Not sure about the parking which was closed Saturday morning on wrens nest road 😭 Great walk and history lesson tooπŸ‘Œ

As urban green spaces go, this one is special. It's an international site of special scientific interest geosite, famous for it's limestone features and fossils.

Amazing place for geological adventures, it’s a shame the car park closes at 3pm, but apart from that we had a great time searching for fossils and the kids agreed that it was better than going to soft play, phew!!!
