Lovely place to go for a walk, much bigger than it first appears. The car park is quite cheap, it was £2.60 for 4 hours when we visited. There's a really lovely bird sanctuary on the main path. If you have binoculars you should definitely bring them. There are all sorts of bird species to see. The path is pushchair and wheelchair friendly. There's an RSPB visitor centre at the top of hill also it's got a spectacular view of the park and the bird sanctuary. N. B. There is quite a lot of work happening on the site next to the park and it can be a bit noisy. I believe it's purpose is to build up the local flood defences. It's not a massive distraction is out of the way everything else, you won't have to go around it or anything like that.

Lovely walk around the lake, spent half an hour in the hide watching a heron and an egret and other birds. Place is kept lovely and clean with a group of volunteers. Nice visitor centre where we enjoyed a cup of tea while watching the birds feed. I bought 3 pin badges and a plant for the garden. Nice place to spend a couple of hours.

A great day out for the family. A lovely walk around the area with little activities for children. The hide gets you nice and close to the birds and there is a volunteer to guide you as well as binoculars and identification charts. A great introduction to bird watching.

Unfortunately only had a hr so was only a quick visit. The staff at the visitors centre were great and helpful. The site is very good with some excellent wildlife. Well worth a visit if you get chance.

Second time visiting Rspb Sandwell Valley. Lovely nature reserve. Lots of different types of habitat and all sorts of wildlife. The staff and volunteers in the visitor centre and in the hides are very friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended a visit- of course for birdwatching and observing wildlife but also just for a lovely, peaceful walk in a beautiful place.

Lovely reserve with visitor centre and toilets. There is a circular walk, which does take a while but it is mostly flat and it's a good path. I really recommend the hide overlooking scrapes. Staffed by friendly informative staff. The hide is great for kids and budding photographers. We saw the cute Little Ringed Plovers, Common Sandpiper, Oystercatcher chicks. Kingfisher corner is a quieter, more overgrown patch.

Visitors centre is much improved! And, if you are worried about taking kids into silent bird hides, don't be ...this was probably the noisiest chattiest one we have ever been in! Not that much to see this time but a pleasant walk.

Lovely place with very friendly staff. A real oasis of calm located in the urban West Midlands conurbation. Safe parking. Highly recommended.

It’s out of my expectations! This place is fabulous, with lots of activities for different ages people to join. Although the cafe did not serve any hot food, it’s still worth spending time there because of the stunning view. It’s dog friendly. The parking fee is £3, plenty of parking spaces. There are lots of information related to varied kinds of birds. A wonderful idea to spend your family day here.

Lovely reserve to have a walk and spot wildlife with a visitor centre and toilets. Great little mud kitchen area with wooden play train too. And plus the option of pond dipping in the warmer months.

Nice & peaceful during the week & still not overcrowded at weekends. You can walk all around and it is only a short walk from Swan Pool which is another pleasant stroll

Took the granddaughter there last Monday as we finally got a little sunshine and she needed a stretch. Although the centre was closed, it was wonderful to observe various birds from the viewing area. The play area was a bit disappointing. It's quite a walk if you're using public transport and I would advise you to time your visit before darkness falls.

Sandwell park farm, Forge Mill Farm and Lake and RSPB centre are lovely places for walking and bird watching. Long and short walks, linear and circular. There is something to suit everyone's ability.

What a brilliant place to visit! Went as part of a school experience. So much for the little ones on offer, as well as walks and the hide! Love riding my bike on the trails too! Toilets are clean and the cafe serves gorgeous coffee.

So lucky to have this on your doorstep. Quieter in the evenings and many routes that lead off the track for great exploration to nearby sections.

Really nice place for a walk, loads of activities for kids. It's worth checking the website for what's on. And obviously bird watching. There is a viewing hide with binoculars provided. Also the staff are helpful at identifying the birds. Parking you pay for unless you're a member, and there's a tea room with fantastic views.
