One of the best parks i have ever been too and would definitely reccomend bringing pets, children, people who love nature and fishing to come to this park. Very spacious and massive parkm lots of trees and nature and playgrounds for kids. There's also a playground for teenagers. One of the best parks I've been too and will keep going to this same park most of the time.

It was a pleasant experience to visit this beautiful park. It's in the middle of residential areas, reasonably large with hilly terrain. The walkways are wide. There are two beautiful small lakes with plenty of ducks to feed. There is a kids' play area and a court for basketball/football practice. I loved it.

Handsworth Park is a true brilliance itself. It is a very tranquil environment and it's kept clean and well managed. It's an immense park so it is amazing for biking and walking. There is lots to explore here. From the wildlife to the Victorian points of interest. Handsworth Park houses beautiful wildlife from geese to birds to swans. Handsworth Park feels like the heart of Handsworth itself. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Pretty park, kept clean. There is a bridge that leads to more of the park, cricket happens here as well. Quite a few paths and a nice place to walk dogs. Lots of wildlife here and the birds are all used to people being around. Lake in the middle is very pretty.

☆ jog 9am: A most tranquil moment for morning walking regardless of weather or atmosphere extremes. Open spaces; fresh air; varied terrain; trees; lake; ducks; statue of "HECTOR"=Mr Handsworth; boat house additionally there's Handsworth Leisure Centre in the confines of these gardens. The location provides respite for all and give's character to Handsworth. *URGENTLY NEEDS A CANTEEN.

A great example of a classic Victorian park, with plenty to do to occupy a couple of hours: modern art installations, community garden and play ground for children and teens all present. But definitely dangerous from late afternoon on. I would advise visiting anytime from morning to early afternoon, to encounter the park at its best.

Fun time with kids. The park was very big including a good play area for children. Highly recommend it to families for a short visit. The trees are shaped in round which is a special scenery here. However, The park is maintenance require some attention and people need to respect the environment and stop littering. The council needs to send litter pickers on regular basis. Although, the children's play was neat. The park is quiet and calm and good enough to spend some time with children.

I love going to Handsworth park, it's super peaceful and expansive so you can be at one end and hardly see anyone. It has ponds where you can feed grains to the geese and ducks. There's a few playgrounds for little kids to play near the swimming pool and a bunch of benches dotted around so you can sit. Picnics in warmer weather is really pleasant.

Really nice park. My Westie loves it!! ETA-: A very nice, well kept park that is split in two halves by a railway line and you can often see and hear trains going by. The first half of the park has the Leisure Centre and car park, also a large, well equipped children's playground. There are toilets inside the leisure centre that are available for park users. This half of the park is rather hilly and can be difficult for people with limited mobility, there are plenty of benches to rest on and watch the world go by. Handsworth Cricket Club is also in this half of the park, with lots of grass and benches to sit on to watch play. There is also a basketball court and outdoor gym equipment in this half. Crossing over the railway line is by a bridge built at the same time as the park in blue brick (late Victorian), you then walk down a fairly steep incline to the park pool, which is a really pleasant walk, and flat! Lots of ducks and geese on the pool to watch and lots of benches to rest on. Parking is Holly Road side of the park, a large well set out car park with plenty of spaces. There isn't a cafe in the park, but there are shops fairly near both sides of the park. If traveling by bus, the 101 stops in Grove Lane right outside the park, or on the other side, the 16 stops almost outside the main park gates. I do recommend this park as a really pleasant community park with events going on all year. Btw, my Westie still loves it!!

This is a good park for all who can do exercises, play sports, walking, do yoga, meditation.....in the pure air, even relax with a family picnic ....

Parking can be problematic especially trying to find an accessible space but it's worth the trouble because this is a lovely park with a great community atmosphere. Play park, sports pitches, and a nice place to wander among the trees make this a great place to spend a day. Try the Holly Road entrance for easy access and shops close by for picnic essentials.

Was last here in 2017 to relax and read. It's very big place. From what I remember it Was Very clean from and fairly peaceful at certain times.. unless you have many walkers or strollers. Overall safe, easy to get to. Might visit again soon as living in Birmingham I've managed to avoid entering nature for far too long!

It is a very nice park with a section for Children play area and wide area for jogging or walking. Nice trees and artificial ponds with some beautiful birds. The main sports building housing the swimming pool is rundown and require major uplift. It has a sizeable car park and it is okay for family evening stroll.

Well maintained, well looked after park. Even with the leisure centre closed it's been nice to see people use the spaces creatively to exercise. Been playing and then in walking handsworth park for about the last 35+ years and it's a great place, never had any issue. Nice lake and café facilities, liking the new sculpture by the cricket pitch, good play areas on either side of the leisure centre, gardening stuff up by the maintenance people, couldn't really ask for much more, always clean and tidy. Wish handsworth carnival was back in handsworth park, simmer down will have to do now though I guess. Love the place

The park has two remarkable sections separated by a bridge over a railway line. The lakeside section with flat with trees and grassy areas around the lake. There is a boathouse which is normally open for use during late spring and the summer period. On the other side, the park opens up further and I would say that two thirds of the park resides in this section. There are play areas for children as well as a bandstand and cricket pitch for use only in the summer. This park, with its elevation changes, its treeline, its wildlife and the stellar management and upkeep of its grounds, make this a leisure site to be treasured.
