I couldn't stop gushing over this beauty. It was like coming alive in the 18th century. The children's play room reminded me so much of sounds of music movie. I have not seen a structure like that because of my background. The house is well maintained. You have pictures and souvenirs to remind you of the visit.

Popped in for a cuppa and some cake with a mate. It's the first time I've been to the cafe and I am glad I went. We had tea for two and a slice of home made sponge cake each. Very, very tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant and thoughtful and the cafe was clean and bright, all set in an old charming, barn like, building surrounded by park land. I sat outside in the sunshine, in the courtyard. They also have loos, including disabled, and disabled parking in the car park. I didn't have time to explore, but I'll be back to do just that. What a great place 👍

Free parking, free entry. Haven’t been for years and years. There was a wedding on, so a couple of the rooms were in use. There are a couple of videos around the house showing the history of the grounds and owners. Only the first two floors were accessible. Plenty of small displays of old china sets, clothes, paperwork etc. in the games room there are some portraits of Wolverhampton industrialists and some history of their businesses. There is a bit of a gift shop where you can also hire golf clubs for the pitch and putt. There are some gardens behind the house which are nice. Then the tea shop before you get back to the car. There’s always time for tiffin. Not a bad way to spend an hour, just remember that it is free.

Bantock House is a wonderful piece of local history. Nestled in Bantock Park, the house and gardens make for a lovely morning or afternoon out. My favourite rooms are the dining room and the drawing room. Sadly, due to covid restrictions, the dressing up section is still closed but there’s plenty to see for children and adults. In the entrance, there were spider plants for sale in exchange for a donation, and a community bookshelf doing the same. The house is free to enter, but there is a suggested donation of £2. Once you are finished viewing the house, the Dutch garden is always popular, I love the rose garden, plus there’s always the cafe selling a range of hot and cold food & drinks, and if you’ve got kids, the play area a bit further down. For a ‘freebie’ it’s great and I only wish more people visited the place. However, it does host events regularly such as antique fairs, craft fairs and a 1940s weekend usually in the September I believe but it’s been a few years since I went to one!

Great place to visit and see. The house is very well maintained with lots of rooms open to the public. When we visited there were Xmas stalls in most of the rooms which was nice. Will be coming back. There is also a little cafe which serves great hot drinks and a selection of food.

Decent sized park good for dog walkers and joggers. There's also a public gym available as well as a café and toilets by the house itself. Entry into the bantock house is free.

Absolutely fantastic place to visit. Full of history and surrounded by gorgeous grounds with a park. Lovely tea room in old barns with reasonably priced food and drinks. Entry is free but once you have been round you may feel you have to donate as it's so lovely and so well looked after! Every room is full of information about everything from the family that used to live there to the pottery in their collection. Staff are really friendly and talkative.Parking is free and there are a reasonable amount of spaces. Great little hidden Gem that I thoroughly recommend!

Today, the children's playground was STILL chained and shut with covid notices dating back to March. What is going on? The government had permitted these sort of facilities to open for a few weeks now. Later I went to the café. Queued up in the covid safe queue, peeped into the café to choose ice creams for my grandchildren when somebody shrieked "Only 2 at a time!"

A well maintained park with lovely gardens. A good 1 mile walk in circumference. Bantock house is definitely worth a visit. Cafe on site is okay too.

The house is a beautiful wedding venue. Not a big museum but my uncle worked there. He was sorting things in the attic and found a priceless work of art. You can totally image treasures squirrelled away all over the house. Nice mini golf course. Well maintained and was free at the time of my visit. Also woodland and playing fields. Mushrooms in the autumn.

  • 5/5 Tina S. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful and accessible to everyone. Just a shame that they cut the opening times down when the schools go back. Some people may prefer to visit in quieter periods.

Lovely walks, after visiting several times we decided to go into Bantock House. Very interesting learning the history, and everywhere was so well preserved. Big play area for children. Well worth a visit xx

Really great for a dog walk around the park & gardens. Cafe is well priced, nice food, and there’s a section to take your dogs inside which is very welcomed! Free parking on site too which is rare at places like this

The history of the place is well worth reading up on. A gem of a house with a sense of gentility. The locals are quite rightly very protective of the park. Good cafe too.

Lovely place for a morning coffee after walking my dog. They even have doggy ice-cream but we haven't tried that yet.

Lovely experience at Bantock House. Beautiful gardens, has been a few years since my last visit. Happened to be driving past and popped in. Toilets were clean and gardens were well maintained. Lots of things to take pictures of in the garden. Lovely little outdoor cafe area too.

  • 4/5 Lorraine M. 10 months ago on Google
Only visited the park grounds. Shame the jollys fayre was taking up a lot of field room (and parking), but usually there's lots of room and different spaces to occupy everyone's needs. Dogs welcome in the cafe too. Our favourite local park.

  • 4/5 Mafalda L. 10 months ago on Google
Nice park for a walk. It's well looked after and but it could benefit from more pedestrian crossing areas around it. I think we are missing zebra crossing areas to access the Park. For example, u have 2 bus stops and a park entrance at bradmore road and no zebra to cross over. It could also have more play areas for kids and teens. Overall it's a good park. It has free toilets during certain hours of the day. The council coffee shop it's pricey

A random trip to meet an old friend led to a visit to here. None of us had ever been there before. Fantastic house with fabulous guide and wonderful stuff to see. The best bit.... It's interactive so it was perfect for my 3 and 5 year old as they could get involved without being told not to touch etc. All of this and it's completely free!

  • 5/5 Deryck G. 8 months ago on Google
Took our two grandchildren there during school holidays. Nice walk around the gardens. The playground was excellent. Safe atmosphere with plenty of different things to try. Then we went round the house. We were made to feel very welcome and told all about the history. The children were given some activity sheets to do. Our grandchildren are 9 and 7 years old and found it all very interesting. All in all we had a very pleasant morning.

  • 4/5 Lynn H. 5 months ago on Google
The house and Xmas fayre excellent. However cafe only gets two stars. I asked for cappuccinos to be extra hot and they weren't. Jacket potatoes and baked beans barely warm and potato not cooked properly. Won't eat there again and guy who served me not helpful at all.

  • 5/5 Maxine C. 4 years ago on Google
Beautiful park to Stoll around, my dog loves it there as do I, you can go into bantock house, check opening times. Hard to think it's right by town, so peaceful, lots of sections to the park. There are different activities through the year for all the family, clean outside toilets by a little cafe, the gardens are lovely and kept nice. Worth a trip.

Disabled parking. Wheelchair access. Great for all ages. Great food. Reasonable prices. Park, exercise equipment, walking, grassed areas for ball games, dog walking and mini golf, match changing rooms outdoor theatre. Something for everyone

    Lots of history

  • 4/5 Jon H. 3 years ago on Google
A small and attractive house with a cafe. There is a large field/grassed park area which is good for outdoor games. A children's play area is well equipped but can get busy at weekends. There is a large pitch and putt which is fun - good value too. Antique and craft fairs are held fairly regularly. The house is well kept but not much to see - go when there is an event on.

Shame the house is closed but nice to walk round the park

  • 5/5 Vlasios B. 3 years ago on Google
Great place for a walk and training the dog. Very spacious and with a lot of trees for cover when the storm comes! Be mindful of the poo that some can't be bothered to pick up as with every park. If I was in the forest I wouldn't really mind as wild animals do their business but when you take your pet for a walk the least you can do is pick up after they've done their business.

Memory Lane trip. Bantock Park and House was one of my haunts and play areas when I was growing up. The house has been opened up more and is really worth a visit. Lovingly restored and the puppet archive is truly wonderful which includes Muffin the Mule. The history of Bantock and other local businesses is extremely interesting.
