πŸ‘ I visited Shirley Park a few days back and I do love it. It is a simple park with playground, tennis court, a nice football field, great for walking dogs and really serene. I love sitting on a bench there looking over at the green scenery near the field there or just sitting down on a bench having a picnic. I also like walking around the park. I also found a apple tree there recently. 4 stars as there are sometimes playful dogs there and I am terrified of them in case they jump up me

Nice little park. Plenty for kids to do. You can park at the back of Aldi and it's free for 3 hours. Coffee and ice cream vans on site. There's also a little fenced off "dog agility" area which is a nice touch. Clean enough too. Takes about half hour to 45 minutes to walk around.

Free parking for 3 hours if you display a ticket, get it from the pay and display machine. Lovely footpaths around the park, childrens play area, tennis courts too. Lots of picnic benches and benches to just sit and watch the world go by. Well worth a visit.

Nice park all round and it is well matained. Can get really busy on the play area in the summer months and especially the weekend but everyone nice enough to make sure the kids don't hug the equipment. Nice surrounding grass areas for a picnic as well

Highly recommended to everyone, it's a very safe environment for adults and children, plenty of swings, skateboarding area, exercise machines, events and festivals take place here etc. For the public's safety there's a team of watch out in yellow jackets if you have any problems and concerns. Beautiful and very clean park so I recommend this park to everyone.

I visit Shirley Park often for my walks and general wellbeing, its a nicely looked after place with a play area for children and skating boarding. Tennis can be played in the courts. There is a play area for dogs and other activities are available through local clubs and events taking place through out the year. Outdoor exercises machines for all ages which is a bonus.

Nice park facilities with lots of different play frames and also a skate park. Plenty of open graa and planted areas and I believe some marked out Pitches for sports and possibly was tennis courts as well.. some of the park equipment quite run down or broken could just do with some TLC and 5 stars

Good park for kids and dogs generally. Great dog agility part with friendly dogs and owners too. It's a funny place depending on when you visit it through the day. In the morning, dog walkers and exercise classes in different parts of the park. Then in the afternoon, kids and parents take over. Finally, as evening approaches the teenagers rise from their pits and occupy suitable distanced zones in shadowy pockets of the park listening to music and drinking. That said ... I guess there's something for everyone!

As we’d visited the Porcelanosa showroom down the road, I wanted somewhere the little one could run about. It felt unfair to drive him 45 minutes to look at some tiles then drive him back, so we took him to the park. The park itself is lovely with wildflowers and wisteria growing, and playgrounds for smaller and bigger kids. When we visited, it was really busy and I was a bit worried he wouldn’t be able to really play on anything but he slotted into something and away he went. What I couldn’t help but notice, and what really let the park down, was the sheer amount of litter. Everywhere. Yeah there was graffiti sprayed onto stuff and I can look past that (just tags nothing arty), but either there’s animals pulling rubbish out of the bins, or park goers are so disrespectful that they can’t even put their litter in the bin. On the plus side, parking is free, though you share it with shoppers and I reckon it fills up pretty quickly.

I was anxious as I walked towards the enclosed play area as there were so many children, however the variety of play equipment and how it was spread out allowed for free flow play, plenty for everyone. My grandson especially liked the slide built into a hill. Needs more picnic benches and seating for adults, otherwise a great place to take children.

Can walk from one end of the park to the other quite quickly. Good for dog walking. Near Shirley Parkgate with ASDA. Playground and tennis courts. Usual facilities. Used to have a golf pitch & putt but was removed decades ago. Been re-landscaped since.

A great Park for children and adults, play areas for children, lots of benches to sit on and for picnic, free carpark for 3 hours, plenty of grass area for football / cricket etc and bike routes too

Good facilities but dominated by teens who wildly ride their bikes and skateboard around. My 4 year old grandson seemed to be in the way of everything they did and no consideration was given to him. They may have to start deviding it into age groups ( LOL).

A great open space which gets used to the full. A great mix of different cultures mingling together as a community. Once a month there are gift fairs and street food vendors selling their wares. Great place to relax too.

Don't go there. The council charges for the car park. Nothing much to see or do there anyway.
