My stay at this hotel was, to put it bluntly, a series of disappointments that left me deeply unsatisfied from beginning to end. To start with, I was assigned a room that was already occupied by another guest. This led to an incredibly uncomfortable and awkward encounter with a colleague who was fast asleep as I entered the room. It was not only inconvenient and dangerous but also raises serious concerns about privacy and security. Shockingly, I later discovered that this wasn't an isolated incident, as colleagues revealed that similar mishaps had occurred just the day before. Despite my efforts to bring this to the attention of the reception team, it seemed they failed to grasp the gravity of the situation. What's more, I was dismayed to find out that I was offered the same room without it being properly cleaned, forcing me into an uncomfortable key exchange with my colleague, who essentially had to vacate his room to accommodate me. As if this wasn't enough, my disappointment grew when I realized I had left behind crucial items upon checkout. It took me only an hour to recognize my mistake, and on my very first call, I was told that these items had been found and would be promptly sent to me after I provided my address, which I did without delay. However, despite my numerous attempts to follow up on this matter, I have yet to receive my lost items. The lack of urgency and attention to customer service I experienced during this ordeal was nothing short of unacceptable. For the initial few days, my emails went unanswered, and during phone calls, I was repeatedly informed that no one had any information about the found items or my previous interactions. I finally managed to get in touch with the manager, who promised to help. Sadly, this promise was met with a familiar pattern of ignored emails and unavailability for phone calls. Once I managed to get through, I was told the items found were not mine. To make matters worse, I encountered instances of extreme rudeness and unprofessional behavior from certain staff members during phone conversations. On several occasions, I was met with dismissive and rude responses, and on others, calls were abruptly terminated. This shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy left me in disbelief. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was marked by a series of inexcusable incidents that showcased a profound lack of professionalism, customer service, and basic attention to detail.

Stayed here for a night for my birthday and this hotel went above and beyond to make my stay extra special! The whole place is lovely, the rooms are clean with everything you need in them, we had lunch on the terrace bar which was so lovely in the sunshine. I had a surprise birthday cake message in my room, complimentary drinks voucher and breakfast voucher for me and my friend! Thank you! The breakfast was amazing, cooked fresh and really good food. Can't wait to come back!

A lovely hotel with brilliant customer service. Would highly recommend to anyone who plans on seeing Birmingham. Spent the night with my partner and it was amazing. The interior design is beautiful. The breakfast buffet selection was one of the best ones I’ve had, very attentive staff, you don’t need to tell them anything is missing for e.g the orange juice, they notice and fill it up automatically. Lovely views from the room, was nice watching the sunrise together. Only downfall was the other guests staying on the same floor. Very disrespectful they chose to argue at 1am in the middle of the corridor with other guests sleeping at the same time. But overall will be coming back. Loads of stores and restaurants next to the hotel which saved us travelling out in the cold weather.

Room is nice. Reception looks nice. Just bear in mind they don’t have protocol for left behind item. I left something in the room and called them in the next day to report it. the reception staff told me housekeeping found my item and they will contact in the next day. Nobody called. On the Day 3, I called again and the reception said housekeeping passed it to reception, but they don’t know where it is and turn me away by telling me that somebody will call me later again, which never happened. In the following week, I contacted the reception everyday. I got the same answer every time, which is somebody will call you in the next day. On the Day 6, I emailed to explain my situation. No reply as expected. Even if you decided to go to the reception in person, guess what? The answer is the same. Somebody will call you in the next day! (ps. They also said they saw my email.) Update: finally get it back on Day 7, thanks to the help from a nice lady in concierge.

Hotel looks great inside, bedroom and bathroom size is also great, i asked for extra towels etc and they were delivered really quickly when I stayed on a busy Saturday. Phones were also answered quickly by staff Rooms had everything I needed and bar/ restaurant service was both very good. I will say however restaurant food itself was quite basic and options were limited. I did have issues with car parking where I was sent back and forth from reception to the car park multiple times which was irritating but it was sorted eventually

Booked for a twilight spa stay have to say on the surface this place looks stunning but if your like me and look a bit deeper then it might not be for you. Checked in and the member of staff gave us little to no information but the lobby looked lovely he told us parking for the night was ÂŁ24 I though this was a bit steep but expected. Went to our room and immediately wasn't happy on the way up carpets in the halls were dirty and lifted. Got into our room and the bed was made with no care to detail again the carpet hadn't been cleaned properly, sequins everywhere stringy bits off the bed base. There was dust everywhere and slash marks on the upstand of the sideboards, the bathroom although the actual toilet and shower were clean the floor was filthy. There were dirty cup marks on the window sil so I wasn't happy I went to complain and although my room was changed immediately the new room was cleaner but still not to the standard you'd expect of a 4* hotel. We later went to the bar near the lobby the gentleman working the bar were lovely and paid great attention to detail when making my cocktails and their service was great. The biggest issue myself and alot of other guests were having was with the multi storey car park situated next to the hotel accessed by a machine that didn't work people were having to walk the short distance back into the hotel up to the lobby on level 4 to get them to open the access door. This was very annoying and at one point there were 6 of us all trying to get into the car park waiting in the rain. After 3 trips back n forth finally got to the car then on the exit the gate wouldn't open stating the parking fee needed to be paid we had already paid the ÂŁ24 on check in the whole parking saga was VERY frustrating. Honestly do not think I'd stay here again.

One of my go to hotels when In Birmingham. Amazing location literally at the end of Broad street. Lots to do and see within walking distance, whether it’s food, drinks, partying, clubs etc. The hotel itself is clean, modern looking, with a slightly luxury feel without being a luxury hotel, I probably didn’t articulate that part correctly but I know what I mean. The staff are welcoming, friendly and always ready to help. The bar is nice for pre drinks before a night out, pretty much all the alcohol brands you would need!! I haven’t eaten in the restaurant but have heard positive things. There are a few different options in terms of the room, however I have only stayed in the executive double rooms and whatever the upgrade is from these rooms too. I have always had lovely views of the city and the rooms have always been spacious, with a comfy bed and all all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay including hair dryer, tea/coffee, complimentary water, biscuits etc plus ironing board etc. Plenty of storage space and decent air-con if needed. Breakfast is really good! Lots of choice and always tastes fresh even though it’s a buffet. My only negatives are water pressure in the shower, maybe it’s just me but I feel it’s on the weaker side not a big issue to be honest. There is a noise issue and I understand this is more about the guests and not the hotel itself but I hear the noise from next doors room and in the corridors on a Saturday night where many are returning from drinking and clubbing. All in all a really nice hotel in the centre of Birmingham and I recommend!!

Very pleasant place to stay, clean and staff very friendly. Just a little issue with dinner at the restaurant, once I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and take my order, when the room wasn't that busy and after to speak to the waiter asking if I should order at the bar or to sit and wait. Otherwise, food was good and tasty.

Incredibly well kept Hotel - everywhere was spotless. Staff mostly helpful. We had the breakfast which was generous (all you can eat!) but the fruit was very old. The orange fruit juice seemed to have been watered down to the point of being coloured water. We also ate at the Indus restaurant. Great service and tasty food. Pricy at ÂŁ100 for two people inc drinks. Bar prices are high (like most hotels). Great location for the arena, symphony hall and shopping (just a 12min tram ride or 20min walk to the Bullring etc)

Well actually I came Birmingham with my friends for my training purpose for 4 days & definitely I would say choosing the Park Regis hotel was a best decision. Good hospitality & good food service Breakfast offered with a variety of foods The room was clean and bright . I was lucky though that I can see a great view from my room . Every staff were so humbled and welcoming. Especially thanks to Frankie , Kumar ,Abdul. You guys are very kind & helpful. Overall really had a great experience & our stay was so relaxing.🙂 Would love to visit again 🤍

Did not find the double beds comfortable they put two single beds together, which meant you have a ridge in the middle. Great location and service was OK but not outstanding. Temperature in the sky loft was hot, and when getting near the end of the night, staff were visibly packing up chairs and tables whilst we were still in the room.

Great location, on the cusp of all the local eateries, bars, shopping and nightlife - but set back so you aren’t in the thick of it as soon as you step out. The rooms are quite large, the bathroom is very clean and well appointed with a large shower - but the bed was really poor and I had a terrible nights sleep. The bar and restaurant are good; they serve Indian food from the Indus restaurant which is nice whilst enjoying a drink. One issue was the barman putting a service charge on drinks even though we ordered them, paid for and walked the drinks from the bar to our own table - no need for that.

Great service. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. And the public areas of the hotel are very welcoming and beautifully decorated. Would recommend this place if you need to stay in central Birmingham.

We had a works function here and hired about sixty rooms. The hotel is impeccably clean and modern. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. Great bar and outside terrace. Breakfast was really good. The buffet was well stocked and the food freshly cooked. There is a multi-storey car park at the rear of the hotel. Highly recommended.

Great experience staying at Park Regis Birmingham. Fast, very simple check in and even faster checkout. All I had to do was hand back my key card and give my room number, then all done. Room was spacious and clean. Good amenities too. One drawback was car park had very narrow lanes to manouvre between floors and quite tight parking bays. However decent level of security. Overall recommended.

Never stayed but did setup a conference there. Good location and clean and tidy. Staff at the conference were excellent. Very helpful, which can't be said for some of the others. We tried to unload at the back gate. You press the buzzer and someone is supposed to let you in. After 5 attempts nobody came. We rang reception and they picked up and hung up straight away. Eventually someone came out with a right grumpy face on him. Lots of staff out the back smoking watching us couldn't be bothered to get off their backsides to help us get in.

Hotel very good looking, food very good as well. Reception, midlle aged, Indian looking, bold gentleman wasn't very nice actually I would be even saying disrespectful towards me and my partner and I could tell it was because of our appearance and that we were foreign looking. I think he assumed we spend whole our life saving on that hotel and he was treating us like a lower class people... That wasn't very pleasant and I would recommend being more humble because you never know who are you talking to. What he did wasn't necessary. Next day reception team changed and ladies were very nice.

Friendly staff, delicious food at Indus restaurant. Amazing presentation, great ambiance and outstanding service by staff. Chef Manish Patel has magic in hands. Staff members Angela and Frankie were so professional and welcoming. I would definitely visit again for such an amazing and delicious food.

Great hotel. Had a very nice night rest. I love the mattress and room size is great. Only downside my room only had a shower. Breakfast was excellent

Lovely hotel, slightly pricey drinks & food etc but worth it for the experience / as a treat. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, temp control and great views. Staff were friendly and helpful :)

The 12.5% service charge at the already pricey bar soured our experience. It wasn't advertise anywhere and felt very underhand. Rooms are fine, clean with a view of a roundabout. Shower was no more than a dribble. Breakfast was very good, loads of choice. Be careful if you have anything other than a small car. The car park is very tight.

Incredible hotel, staff, views and food. The toilets were clean and more than satisfactory. Cleanliness of the the hotel was top notch. We had a baby shower at this location and the staff were amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure the evening was a success! I recommend!

Easy enough to get there by car, just take your time. Car park for residents but be careful, it's very tight to get round and park. Very nice and tidy room. Drinks are hotel prices so be warned and prepared. Breakfast has all you need. Would've like to have tried the Indian food but was with a corporate package. Nice place outside to have a drink in the sunshine. No issues with the food and service, it's what you'd expect. The only reason for 4 stars - and it's a pet hate - there was no gravy or sauce with my beef dinner.

It was so lovely and clean. The staff are friendly to talk too. The rooms were lovely and comfortable especially the beds they were comfortable to sleep. I definitely want to come back again to stay a bit longer this time.

First visit to the hotel, friendly welcome on arrival. The decor is fabulous, we had the executive twin room, very clean and spacious. Breakfast was super so much to choose from. Would definitely recommend a stay. We will be returning

The kitchen at this hotel has been praised highly about the food by a lot of the guests that have stayed there from celebrity football teams and wrestling stars to afternoon tea parties. Rest assured you will enjoy your food at this place.

Nice hotel. Easy to get the tram from New Street or it's a nice walk. Service was great. Went for a meeting and the facilities were fab. And the meeting rooms were a good size with fabulous views over the city. The bedroom didn't have a remote but this was quickly resolved. The bar has a great selection. The breakfast was very good. We had meatballs as the meeting lunch and they weren't great but that could have been personal taste and there was a selection of other foods.

Lovely hotel, transformation of the old shopping centre into a fabulous hotel is inspired with great design nods to the owners UAE links. Brings a touch of luxury to the city centre. Dinner in the Indian influenced restaurant was exceptional. One of the best I've experienced. Lovely team, fantastic hotel.

I was not happy with the service that was provided. I ended up paying more for the room I reserved because they told me I could not pay online and then the room that was meant to be ready for 3pm was not ready I received a complete different room, did not get into the room until 4:30pm and when I complained to management they said they’ll handle the matter, the receptionist even remembered our room number, I didn’t even have to tell her and they never sorted the matter. There’s was no towels in the room either, I had to go back down and request towels.

So stayed here for a weekend and it was alright but a few things not so great. The rooms are cleaned but not to a really high standard. The bathroom had a shower head that would not stop dripping in the night whilst trying to sleep. The breakfast down stairs wasn’t that good. We originally had a standard room but the view was of a roof top so we upgraded to be able to have some sort of view from out window. It cost £40 to upgrade for two night but we did notice that if we booked at the time of arrival we would of got the executive room for cheaper than the standard room. Very weird way of pricing but I guess the customer is never thought of first in these situations. Reception and breakfast staff are polite. Probably would stay again but would be checking prices first to ensure most value for money. They also have a car park to the side of the hotel which is super handy.

Fantastic stay! Swift and friendly check in from reception on arrival. We had a nice large quiet room on the 8th floor which had a coffee machine, fridge and lovely bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was incredible, perfect ambiance, food was so tasty and beautifully presented with superb friendly service from the f&b team. Breakfast was busy (not surprising at 10am on Sunday morning!) but still plenty to choose from and everything tasted freshly cooked. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning!

This hotel is fantastic. The location has easy transport links, the decor is chic, the restaurant on site serves delicious food and the staff were really welcoming. It's ideal for a work event with spacious meeting rooms offering great facilities and catering with staff being very attentive. Thank you Michael and the team for your help in October with our Workshop.

This hotel is beautiful on arrival the lobby and everything boasts 5 stars until you get in the rooms... budget springs to mind! I made complaints as the room needed cleaning but wasn’t cleaned along with other things I needed addressing... on return have emailed 3 times with no reply! There’s lots better hotels in Birmingham with good customer service

Lovely hotel with a great view of Birmingham City from the top floors. The hotel is well maintained and very tidy. There is lots of interesting decor in the reception and bar area and that makes it very cosy. The rooms were also very clean and tidy and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast had a great choice from a full English breakfast to fruit and croissants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is also a car park (pay and display) located under the building.

  • 4/5 Mark M. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel itself is lovely, the service was fantastic. However our room was probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, it was booked on our behalf by someone else, but it was really tiny with sparse facilities. We didn't eat, but the Indian themed restaurant looked beautiful, and would definitely return just to try it.

Stayed here for a works Christmas party. Overall a pleasant stay and the facilities were very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was a reasonably good standard and breakfast was good. Car Parking costs for staying at the hotel are not cheap but the car park is small so probably priced to deter driving to thr hotel.
