I stayed at the Hyatt for a couple of nights a few weeks ago. Overall it's a decent hotel. It's pretty well-located; a bit of a walk from New Street Station, but it's very convenient for a lot of the major attractions in the city. Staff at check-in were really welcoming. I did spend quite a lot of time during my stay waiting for lifts, which I guess is just a downside of it being a big, high-rise hotel with lots of guests. The room was very spacious, albeit a bit dated (especially the bathroom). What really bothered me was that I'd paid extra for an upper-floor room to get views of the city, but the windows were FILTHY. I accept that there's a lot of construction around and it must be impossible to keep them clean, but they really shouldn't be charging extra for a view when it doesn't exist. I also had quite a few problems with the TV giving error messages and being extremely slow. The bed was comfy though and I slept well; there was no noise. If you're looking just for a room to sleep in for the night and you can get it cheaply, I'd recommend the Hyatt; unfortunately though you don't get much more than that. I don't think I'll be staying again.

Amazing! Stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was an exquisite experience. Lovely space with breathtaking views. The staff are really pleasant and keen to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great with a variety of fresh options. Only caveat I'd give is that it's quite a business centered hotel, so for example, if you're going with kids, know that the pool only accepts children from age 12. All in all a fabulous stay. Will go again.

The room was high quality with a large comfortable bed, small desk and TV / refreshment cabinet. Nice local canal photo over bed and ample storage. Bathroom fairly spacious and all cleaned to high standard. Location excellent for The Rep, ICC, canal basin and city centre in general. Good standard of service for the facilities I used. High quality breakfast with very wide range of buffet options.

Rooms are nice and spacious, comfy big beds, nice separate work desk. The blackout curtains cut short at the bottom as we've stayed here a few times and the light starts coming through early hours of the morning which is quite annoying as it can get quite bright and ruins a peaceful sleep. Staff are great and very helpful

This is by far the best hotel in Birmingham! The views are awesome, the service is first class from check in to conciergeโ€ฆ Room super clean and that was important for us bringing our 4 year old. Special mention to Adriana who was absolutely amazing and made our stay special, thank you.

The hotel boasts a great location, making it convenient to explore the city's attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I particularly appreciated the peaceful and clean ambiance. It provided a relaxing retreat after a long day. However, I did notice that the rooms could use a bit of refurbishment to match the high standard of the rest of the hotel. One minor downside was that the air conditioning in my room wasn't quite working. Considering the excellent value for money and the overall positive experience, I would still recommend the hotel.

This is a very central hotel, close to new street station. The lobby, bars, and general communal areas in this hotel are very nice, done out to a great standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Itโ€™s great that thereโ€™s a swimming pool, which is rare in Birmingham city centre, itโ€™s small but very nice with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The rooms are large with great views over the city, mini fridge, and the usual other facilities, the bed is comfortable and feather pillows. We stayed in a standard room, which could do with refurbishment, it looks dated and had shower over bath and a toilet behind the door in the bathroom. Good overall experience but rooms need to be updated in line with the public spaces.

Great stay during a conference weekend. Staff has been very welcoming. Although the rooms look like need a little tlc. Our room had an issue with water being boiling hot, we were offered bottled water to use as shower but were never delivered to our room. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, beautiful decor and many food choices, freshly pressed juices. Staff at the bar was attentive and very friendly. Overall good stay.

I booked the Hyatt for my wife's birthday. The room on the 21st floor was fantastic with great views over Birmingham. Bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom very tidy. Pool and spa is very good, quite small, but we were lucky that there were only 4 other guests using the pool and sauna at the same time as us. Another 5-6 and it would have been crowded. The hotel arranged for some cakes and chocolates to greet my wife in the room for her birthday which was great. Price to stay is expensive, but it is a quality hotel. Parking is non-existent unfortunately but there are public car parks close by. Drinks were great, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely first class! Looking forward to staying again in a few weeks for the T20 Finals Day!

Stayed in the Hyatt on the 28/06/23, paid for a club house room (absolutely worth the money) and also had access to the clubhouse between 5:30pm and 7pm this allowed us to have snacks and unlimited drinks. The room was absolutely gorgeous and had an absolutely awesome view of Birmingham city. The cleanliness of the hotel was spotless, well done to the cleaners. The breakfast ๐Ÿฅž was also delicious and there was something for everyone. I would absolutely recommend coming here and I'm definitely going to be coming again.

Great place to stay in the centre of Birmingham. I stayed a couple of time and each time the experience was superb. Rooms are huge and very well appointed. Spa is a bonus. Staff very attentive, lovely breakfast and the downstairs restaurant offers very tasty pub style meals. Overall I would not hesitate to stay there every time I'm visiting Birmingham.

Fantastic location and a beautiful hotel with a very cosmopolitan breakfast which was very impressive. Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. One drawback if you are arriving by car the parking is very limited and we had major problems trying to find the overspill car park- a โ€˜take and pick up serviceโ€™ would be perfect here. If it was raining we would have got very very wet!!!! But apart from that still an amazing location and lovely hotel.

My first time here absolutely stunning Hotel The staff are wonderful. One of the best hotels I have ever been in in my life. I came here tonight to film day eight of the wonderful, incredible, magnificent Jazz festival and I saw Sheila Waterfield Quartet tonight they were remarkable. Thank you so much Sheila Waterfield quartet for a memorable evening. UPDATE - All you companies out there, you need to take note of the way you should respond to the positive review Hyatt regency hotel will teach you how to do this, first-class response, which is only what I would have expected from the hotel which sets an example for hotels to follow throughout the world. Please make a note of this, if it is a good or a negative review. It is so important to you as a business, for example, cross-country trains, and House of Fraser, take note and learn from this. Do not just hide away from the most appalling service you provide for your customers. Hoping nobody would notice. Shame on you.

Nice Hotel, but the rooms could have been a bit more warm. You need to change the hairdryer in the room, but appreciated the big TV and large offer of teas bags. Had a work conference and enjoyed the dinner party. Food was OK, large conference rooms and very nice staff.

High end hotel in the centre of Birmingham. 10 min walk from Birmingham New Street Station. Stayed for 4 nights and all the staff were consistently friendly & professional. Rooms cleaned on a daily basis with towels & bottles of water replaced. Buffet breakfast was nicely cooked & presented. Room rate was competitively priced. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a business event in the ICC. Location was perfect. Staff were really helpful. Check in and out was fast and efficient. The lobby area is very pretty. Room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfy and slept well, not hearing any noise from other rooms or guests. I had breakfast here. It was nice and a great selection of cooked and continental options.

We stayed in the hotel for a couple of days. I really liked the hotel and the view from our room. But I need to be honest that on pictures looks much better. The lobby is fantastic, like typical Hyatt hotel, but the corridors smell old. There is the same smell in the room also. Huge room, amazing view, (nothing in the refrigerator), bathroom was pretty big and clean. I also like the breakfast. The spa is nothing special. For that number of rooms I can tell that is very small.

Bot happy with there services.also the rooms look bigger on online pictures but the rooms are small . As for the services,l offered to pay somthing so that the hotel does something for my finances birthday and the said l shouldnโ€™t pay they offer platters but nothing at all was offered. Also we forgot a laptop charger and called to see if we can go collect it ,and the lady who answered said she will return the call in 10 minutes but it turned to be the opposite, she didnโ€™t even call back for feedback if they had found it or not . What a bad experience ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”

Stayed here with colleagues whilst on business. Nice hotel especially walking into the hotel lobby. Lovely feel and atmosphere. The room was spacious and a view of the canal. You get a touch in your room. Breakfast was nice and the service was ๐Ÿ‘Œ For a city centre hotel the prices were great. One downside the hotel parking ๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ is like for a few cars. Many just dump them at the door.

Nice hotel, good food, friendly staff. Room was clean but worn out and needs decorating in places. Bed comfy and clean though. Shower tap loose and only provided scorching hot water. Even basin tap had hot water out of "blue" cold tap. Too late in evening to report, so did it on check out for next guest. 7th floor room a little noisy above some kind of lively music venue. Hopefully other rooms are better as it was not a cheap stay!

I have used this hotel since it opened. Location is excellent for the Arena, Symphony Hall, and walking distance to the majority of the City Centre. Bathrooms show some wear and tare which they could easily put right. Beds are comfortable and spacious rooms.

Wow! What a wonderful surprise. The check-in was quick and efficient. The room is very well appointed. The air-conditioning works well.. The bed is large, slightly firm, and very comfortable. The spa looked great, but we didn't have time to enjoy it. I liked the pool in which you can do laps. I also like the fact that the hot tub, sauna and steam room are good for couples and not in the locker rooms. We went for the buffet breakfast. The head chef, Liam, welcomed us, found us a good table, and had a delicious gluten-free omelet made for my wife work gf toast. The selection of fruit, cereals, bread, and savouries was more than enough. The young lady, Aishri, who provided service to our table, could not have been more attentive and helpful with a smile. Kudos! We will be back during our next visit to the UK!

This is a great hotel, quiet, well sized rooms with comfy beds and a decent desk. The TV was slightly frustrating but in the end I just switched it off and streamed some music to my phone, I wasn't in my room much anyway! The car park out the front is pretty tight but I managed to get a space, which saved a walk to one of the others nearby. If not driving the train station is pretty close and there is a tram stop right outside so connections into the city are excellent ๐Ÿ‘Œ I enjoyed breakfast but I was a bit miffed that the pool was only open between 11am and 7pm. I couldn't get there on my first night, and had to be at work before it opened the next day... As a work trip I'm not sure how the price compares to others nearby, but it was a good experience so I'd definitely think about staying again.

The lobby is beautiful, a lovely place to sit and relax. The downside is, the bar wasn't open in the lobby and I had to go into the adjoining bar for a drink. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable. I love the chair and the bed. Robes are a nice touch, as are the toiletries and the cooler in the room. Most staff were excellent, aside from one person who cut me short. Check in and out was quick and easy. Sadly the breakfast wasn't as good as my previous visits, the bacon and Sausages were over cooked, and the eggs tasteless. It's a pricey breakfast so I was quite disappointed at the standard this time. The spa is nice, but there is no shallow end so if you intend on going in the pool, you must swim. The parking is a bit of an issue, there's not many spaces so it's usually full, and it's ยฃ27 per night. I parked at the Q Park at Brindley Place which isn't far away, and it was a little bit cheaper. Overall, everything was nice, but the standard has definitely dropped a little since my last visit unfortunately.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in a convenient location and offers excellent access to the city's popular attractions. The service at the hotel was exceptional, with the staff being friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist with any queries or requests. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed with modern amenities, ensuring my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was terrific, offering various options to cater to everyone's taste. The food quality was top-notch, and the service was prompt and efficient. Overall, my experience at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham was nothing short of exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in the heart of the city.

Had visited the hotel for a concert, excellent location. Staff and accommodation and facilities are amazing BUT If you do not like lifts and you need to use the stairs or there is an emergency the stairway will let the hotel down as they are in bad condition and in need of an update ie decoration etc and junk left around as if it was a store room. I don't like lifts and had to use stairway and have never seen such bad decor in a 4 star hotel before and i have been to many 4 star hotels in my time. Management at some point need to walk up the stairs to see it as a customers view point. Don't get me wrong this is a very good hotel but let down by the stairs and how badly they need redecoration and stop using as storage at bottom of stairs.

We had booked a double King and our stay was very relaxing and comfortable. The view from our hotel room was exquisite with the Library of Birmingham and the Christmas rides being lit up in front of it. The hotel is located in a prime location and highly accessible from the public transport. The staff is friendly and cooperative and their service was always quick. I would definitely choose to stay at Hyatt next time I am in Birmingham.

Right in the heart of the city. which means, Easy to access public transportations and the main attraction are Just in a walkable distance. The view is spectacular, the interiors and the ambience is astonishing. The hospitality is very good and the food taste really good. I love the secret garden restaurant. It has a bar restaurant as well which is accessible till early morning. I can say that it is one of the best Hyatt hotels I have stayed or visited.

Amazing staff, stunning hotel, fabulous location. Beautiful interiors, lovely food and made to feel special as one of their guests. Fabulous breakfast too. Staff go the extra mile and so professional and kind. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Quite pricey room service but it was a very comfy room with excellent views. Only slightly ruined by obnoxious noisy neighbours. Towels were plush and lovely. Free slippers weren't very comfy but they are clearly just designed to cover your feet after shower etc. Bathrobes were so comfy as well. Food was quite nice.

Stayed here a few nights this week, the club lounge is so handy to work from, with great views. Sandra & Henrietta gave us such a welcoming service, ladies we such great fun to chat to also. Breakfast was lovely, such a selection to choose from, rooms are nice, bathrooms could be updated a little, get a littlewarm at times especially with this heated weather we've had this week. Reception area nice and cool, lovely to sit in.

  • 5/5 George F. 1 year ago on Google
It's a perfect location for everything one could want to do during a very short stay. A welcome change to be able to make a decent cup of coffee in the room, not everyone wants semi skimmed milk or powder milk. Big score for me. A clean and well serviced room with comfortable bed. Next time will remember to specify king size bed rather than two single beds. Perhaps a trade off for the high floor! Hassle free check in and out too. 8/10.
