Hotel is in diar need of tlc Felt very very unsafe as large groups of people hanging around outside. Room smelt like damp/mould it’s not very nice considering the price. Unlike advertising it’s a 50 min walk from birmingham city centre Don’t stay here as it’s more like an estate from hell then a hotel

Very Poor Standard of Accommodation, upon arrival the room allocated was presented unclean with toilet roll unraveled across the floor, and the bedroom floor had clearly not been hoovered for some some due to the amount of dirt. The receptionist waited to speak to a manager who then agreed to move rooms after a wait in the lobby. The second room, whilst clean was no more presentable, smaller than my initial room this room demonstrated a severe lack of care and repair over a period of time. More frustratingly there is no power sockets situated in the vicinity of the bed. Aside from this the bathroom is long overdue a refurbishment with rusty towel rails, and no toilet roll holder instead a roll of toilet roll is left on the cistern top. Unfortunately this stay was booked through business, but I would avoid this "hotel" and pay a little more to be stay in one of the many hotels in this area rather than this run down Motel complex.

I was there i night for business and I am quite unsatisfied with the hotel. The reception was quite messy and gave me straight away the feeling of a place were details don’t count. When checking in the receptions told us that we could have taken the lift to get to our room (floor three) but wasn’t true as was broken. The room is old the again give the feeling on not being clean. The moquette was quite dirty. Shower not clean as well. In the bathroom there was not liquid soap but only a bar of soap.. Definitely not recommended

Had several issues here, filthy rooms rude staff, colleague who woke up with ants crawling around them. With a less than apologetic person at the front counter. Prepaid by through business and they still expected us to pay a £100 security deposit without actually divulging any information. I'd understand a pre-authorization but money was actually taken out of the accounts without being told this was the case. The room I stayed in was not as clean as you'd hope a room to be, was lucky if I could get hot on the shower and the room was boiling hot so much so I could not get good sleep, but the heat wasn't the only contribution to lack of sleep cars blasting loud music and loud drunks getting in early hours were quite the disturbance. Not a good experience considering I came here on a business trip and will certainly not be using Apollo Hotel in future.

The rooms are pretty basic. American style motel with separate entrance. I would not recommend for lone females. It may provide sheltered accommodation for the unfortunates but I can't be certain. There were undesirables hanging around in their cars in the car park right outside the rooms. Wouldn't normally bother me but they seemed bothered by my appearance. Blacked out windows is never a good sign at night. Decided to park elsewhere. Last thing you need are dealers thinking you're a cop.

You would think given its location and size this would be a great place to stay but actually it's not. No food available, Service was shocking, rooms were terrible. Avoid.

Booked in to get away from grotty flat. Wasnt happy having to pay £100 deposit. Didn't have breakfast. I used to enjoy the meals there.

It's more a motel than a hotel. Has the feel and appearance of being on its last legs. Room quite dingy. Wouldn't describe it as dirty, more dusty. Definitely shabby but not chic and falling apart. Iron was broken with exposed wires and the cover of the card entry reader on the lift fell off when you put your card in. Would not stay there again.

Got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at dirty expensive and run down not what you get one the pic from Web site at all nothing worked in room main door wasn't locked so anyone could enter ive never stayed in hostel but I recon it's better than this hotel makes premier in seem like a luxury hotel in comparison

Nice location. Unfortunately the facilities are a bit too old and not clean enough. We can hear the noise of people outside in the middle of the night. If you are looking for a place to sleep, it's fine. However, for the same price, once can a better venue

Stayed 2 nights for recent Test match. Fairly grisly. Bed linen not clean, airless rooms. Everything feels uncared for and dated. Most striking thing was the grim faced service in Reception. Very unyielding. As though any sign of accommodation would be seen as a sign of weakness. Reminded me of British Rail 1970s era.

Me and a friend booked a room to stay in as we were going to a concert. I would say don't stay here the first room we went into the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet, and had three beds which we only booked a two bed room. We went and complained and were given another room, this room was filthy the iron was broke which is dangerous, the kettle and cups were dirty, the curtains and bedlinen were ripped, toilet seat moved around, the tv remote didn't work it was a generally dirty room which needs a lot of updating, my friend got bite marks so we booked into the hotel down the road and requested a refund.

Upon arrival first impression from the outside it's looks run down, dirty, unkept and uninviting, we weren't surprised to find the room was just so too. Dirty, dull, dated and desperate for modernisation. Found dirt, bedbugs and rice in the bed on mattress topper, the whole room was unclean, Cancelled our stay had a full refund. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Room was clean, as were towels and sheets. No room service in the three days I was there, you must be there for 4 days before they consider you may need your room serviced - according to reception on checkout. I had paid a 100 gbp deposit on arrival - on top of the prepaid room charge - and 16 days later Im still waiting for this to be returned, despite frequent communication from self. I had stayed here previously as the location is good for my purposes when in Brum, but I will be looking elsewhere in future.

It was a plain block of Council flat refurnished to rooms. Nothing wrong with that but didn't have have such dark colours in rooms to make it worse. 3 of us has a triple room with 3 bed. It has surprisingly comfy beds, so we had a good sleep. Tea making facility worked well, got more supplies when ran out, no issue. Good TV, good WiFi. Room we were assigned was ground floor opposite reception. You could not have a worse room, luck it was cold, so windows were shut otherwise noisy. Receptionist wouldn't change our room. Heating in room was off when we got in, so it was freezing but warmed up OK once turned on full. £138 a night was OK, just could have been so much better.

What a shocker! I usually check reviews before booking but this was made in a hurry, made for a function for our daughter. Hotel appears to have some form of social house in part of the complex. The receptionist was shouting at kids loitering around when we arrived. The rooms are like mini flats reached by shared outdoor stairways. These are carpeted but in a foul state. We had to navigate some awful substance to get to the room. The hair dryer in the room didn't work, the shower trickled water whilst held in place by a spoon and the overall condition was tired and dated. I'm ashamed to say I paid £160 for this hovel with a cheap greasy breakfast. Don't recall a place like it and embarrassed to post this having been had! But don't want people falling for the same disappointment.

They offer multiple options for the conferences. The conference rooms are large but not sound proof. Bathrooms were not clean, table cloths were not clean. Limited staffing restricted the receptionist from assisting.

Unfortunately, it is one of the worse hotel one can stay. It is old and not very clean, although expensive. I stayed at Apollo Hotel for 4 night. I did not have cleaning for entire stay. No refilling shampoo or soap. I had to go to reception and take one myself. The staffs are not nice or helpful. No phone in the room. Also, one night it was very laud and noisy. People were listening to a music loudly outside in the parking behind my room window.

Would not recommend this hotel to anybody, firstly they take a deposit of £100 when you get there as ‘ security’. Had to video most things in the room that didn’t work as soon as I got there so that I got my money back, turns out they DONT refund you, the money ‘disappears’ off your bank statement and they claim that they’ve done their part and sent it back and tell you to contact your bank as it’s an issue with your bank account. When I’m reality they’re probably just pocketing the security deposit money, wouldn’t pay £20 nevermind £63 to spend a night here! It’s vile and how it’s still up and running I do not know.

I paid £180 for a single night in the 'Triple Executive suite'. I feel like I've been scammed, when we arrived they had given our room to someone else because they hadn't added our booking to their system. The room they gave us looked nothing like the photos online and was instead two beds and a bunk bed kitted out with horrible paper thin irritating bed coverings. All the mattresses were of varying quality too. On arrival there was a man harrassing people waiting in the check-in queue drinking and coughing very openly in the bar area. If there was anywhere else available on that night to sleep three people I would have taken it.

Dirty filthy room . I have used this hotel before and last time they asked me for a £100 deposit even though room was pre paid. I refuse to do this due to the fact I stop in hotels 4 nights a week and if every hotel did it and refunded this deposit weeks later I wouldnt be able to keep a track on my money. Receptionist kept me waiting while he contacted the manager like a little schoolboy even though room was already paid. He then said manager said I have to pay next time or I will be refused entry. Does he not know that there are nicer cleaner hotels in the area that dont take a stupid £100 deposit when the rooms are pre paid already. Can hotels really afford to turn away buisness customers in this day and age? Car park was empty last time and this time. I wonder why! Keep driving .

Unclean room - Sink and surfaces were not cleaned. Human head hair on cushions and sheets. Floor not hoovered. Shower walls with steaks of shampoo on them. Part of hotel being used for Social housing. Very rough area and Police visited the hotel whilst I was there due to a dispute I would avoid. Complained this morning and was told that my complaint would be passed on. No apology given !

The "executive suite" was nothing of the sort. Very basic, dirty cups, poor quality coffee and tea in room and the beds weren't very comfy. Also lacking in furniture. It was a triple room with only one easy chair, wardrobe and seat at the "dressing" table. The staff were very good and the breakfast was lovely.
