I
was
undecided
as
to
whether
we
should
stay
here
for
the
night
or
one
of
the
similar
hotels
nearby.
As
we
had
stayed
here
7
years
ago,
we
gave
it
another
go.
On
first
impressions,
you
would
be
mistaken
for
thinking
the
hotel
has
been
through
a
modern
revamp,
but
that
just
appears
to
be
the
restaurant
and
bar
downstairs.
We
were
given
a
family
room
which
consisted
of
a
double/queen
bed
and
a
sofa
bed.
The
double
was
great
but
the
sofa
bed
was
terrible.
It
was
lumpy,
thin
and
uneven.
We
asked
to
be
moved
but
the
only
one
other
option
had
an
even
worse
bed.
We
opted
to
stay
where
we
were
because
of
this
and
instantly
regretted
it.
The
room
was
right
next
to
the
stairwell
and
lift.
All
night
we
heard
people
slamming
the
doors
and
the
lift
noise.
The
staff
were
made
away
of
our
decision
but
still
came
up
to
check
at
9:10pm,
which
was
odd
not
only
because
but
we
had
told
them
but
because
of
the
time
of
night
when
both
our
children
were
trying
to
sleep.
The
staff
member
said
she
would
bring
an
extra
duvet
to
our
room
to
help
with
the
bed
but
she
never
turned
up
to
our
room
again.
At
this
stage,
it
was
pointless
given
we
didn’t
didn’t
want
to
disturb
our
children
any
more
but
it
was
ridiculous
that
she
had
forgotten.
The
hotel
offered
to
discount
our
stay
on
check
out
but
I
am
still
puzzled
as
to
why
they
would
place
a
family
in
the
noisiest
room
in
the
hotel.
The
room
itself
was
tired,
run
down,
small
and
stuffy.
The
fans
in
the
toilet
room
needed
cleaning
and
the
plug
in
the
bathroom
had
to
be
removed
to
avoid
flooding
the
shower/bath,
only
to
reveal
a
very
dirty
plug.
I
could
have
chosen
a
much
more
affordable
and
older
chain
hotel
nearby
and
we
would
have
had
a
better
experience.
