Honestly the worst hotel ive ever been to. Staff ok. But the room ... yuk bed sheets had blood stain on them. Coffee stains all up the wall. No bin. Someone had used the toilet and not flushed it. Absolutely disgusting.

4 stars as a budget hotel. For the price (approx £140 a night for four of us), this was an absolute steal. Quick taxi into the city centre, clean, all able to stay in the same room. Corridors and decor generally a bit dated/worn but if you're looking for a cheap but clean base for a night out...this place absolutely fits the bill.

Lifts didn't work, irons in ironing rooms not working, the ones that did work were look warm at best.. I guess u get what u pay for.. at one point went to reception and was stood there waiting for minutes, ended up asking the security outside where staff were. Young man in glasses came out, he seemed disinterested even using his phone while serving the person who was in front of me.. one of the guys came to help as there was a queue building on reception, he tried to help with the iron situation..

One of the filthiest hotel just right on Hagley road edgbaston. Stinks are everywhere as soon you entered the stairs to access the rooms, not hot water and ripped linen all you can see in pictures. Even the staff over reception not even embarrassed to get complain. What a shame Please pay extra to other hotels to get comfort rather come here. Defiantly not recommend

First of all me and my 4 kids went to stay there. This has been our worst experience ever! At our stay, there were rats in our room and the rats would go on the bed when we were sleeping. The room was tiny. When we first came in, we found a dead rat on the floor. The kitchen is sooo small. There is only 1 kitchen in the whole hotel. Whenever I would make some food and put it in the fridge I would see that someone has taken the food the next day. The service is horrendous as well. On the outside it looks fine however inside it is a mess. I would never recommend this to anyone. The pictures they have put on the website is incorrect. The rooms are absolutely terrible.

Sticky carpet, thin duvet and an old rug cut as bed warmer, looked like it wasn't washed. Worst was the bed bugs. TV and lift were not working. I don't have any problem with old furniture or lack of modern decor, considering the room price. But it should be clean, and no bed bugs.

had a man knock at my door saying “come help me find the second floor i won’t hurt you i’ll give you money” this is where people who come out of prison go. would not recommend more like a mad house and hostel in one.

Courteous and friendly staff. Would have been lovely to have a microwave oven in our family room though. I will recommend this place.

Myself and my Girlfriend were staying over in Birmingham and chose to stay at the Norfolk hotel for one night, it was honestly the worst mistake we made. We arrived and took over 15 minutes to check in and were standing around waiting for the receptionist to check us in. We then had to go to the third floor and climb up 6 flights of stairs, the stairwell is very dirty and outdated, looked like a prison. The room was the worst bit, the bed was uncomfortable, the bed sheets were ripped and opened up and had brittle of different hairs across the bed, the towels were stained and used, and there was also an open soap bar previously used on the sink, there was many stains across the room and looked very dirty and unhygienic. Room was very cold, radiator's didn't seem like they worked properly and it was just an awful experience, i am surprised this place is still open for business. The price for one night which was £95 was pure extortion. The next day we woke up quite early due to how unconformable it was and found numerous bed bite marks across our legs and body. Myself and my girlfriend both had bites, we were absolutely fuming about this and will be making a formal complaint. Not a very happy customer and will not be staying here again, will pass the message onto close friends and family also. Thanks, Ash

The reception is deceptively welcoming. The rooms are atrocious. Tiny boxes with rotten beds and terrible bed linen. You will toast in the heat of the night and not get a wink of sleep if it’s a hot evening like mine was. There is nothing in the room bar a kettle (that you can’t fill up as the sink is under a ledge that you can’t angle the kettle into) and a dirty shower. I know it’s cheap but you couldn’t pay me to stay here again, simply filth. Most likely used by the council to put up homeless and emergency housing as it’s cheap and gross

I booked here as I finished work at 2:00 am and I arrived at 2:10am knowing i would be back at work at 9:00am later that morning. Arrived and no one to be seen at reception for 25 mins and I had timed this also for proof. A member of staff eventually came through and allocated my room. I purely wanted this room for somewhere to get my head down between shifts and a shower which cost me £45 and there was no cold water in the shower there was only On and very hot. I turned the dial multiple ways and still didn’t have any cold come through so this caused me to having to rush out without showering to my 12 hour shift. Please bare in mind I only booked this hotel for a bed and a shower. I would have reported this to reception on leaving but had no time To spare due to work. Unfortunately I will not be visiting again due to this service and would appreciate a refund even if it is partial.

Kept hearing screaming and shouting throughout the night... stayed for one night, on arrival there was a function on which I was pleased to see but could hear the music in the room on the 3rd floor, i felt it for the guests on the floors below me. The room looked tidy but didn't feel clean (my skin itched through the stay and after i left), i felt like i was in a scary film
