Brought a big sized room and was shocked by how small it was. I messaged them after leaving and all they offered me was a bigger room next time I stay with them which isn't going to happen as I'm not planning on revisiting Birmingham in the near future. Breakfast was included but it was very basic was slightly disappointed as I was hoping for a cooked breakfast to help wake me up.

Not happy used to be regular here sent good money with this hotel but recently getting very greedy and requesting 10 pound and hour for early check in and I'm a essential key worker that works nights and leave but 10 pm absolutely disgusted by this. Definitely not staying here again will be finding a new hotel

Rooms were spotlessly clean with tea and coffee supplied free. I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a nice bar setting which stays open late. Breakfast was self service with a wide selection and very tasty. Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

The rooms are poorly maintained, the service is corporate minimum (no customer focus) and the staff on reception don't respond to the WhatsApp messages for hours, which you think was one of their major roles. Breakfast doesn't cater for vegetarians and restaurant had ripped wallpaper. Disappointed, felt like a hostel.

Stopped here while attending the Utilita arena. Excellent location for it, clean hotel, fantastic breakfast. Lots of parking but a bit steep at £30 a pop.

The room was very cold. Heater was not operational. The shower water was scalding hot and could not be adjusted. The sink was cold water only. There were old coffee stain streaks (hopefully that) on the wall. The staff were very friendly.

Stayed here on a trip to See Lizzo. We absolutely loved it here. Breakfast the next day was lovely and rooms were super comfortable. Ubers were easy to use from the hotel to the centre too. We would definitely return.

The hotel was good, comfy bed and pillows, clean. Could do with a lick of paint just to freshen it up. Overall good

I'd love to tell you about my stay, but the hotel cancelled my booking 6 days before I was due to arrive, with no explanation. Despite many attempts, they're uncontactable. Same goes for Accor, the parent company, who ignore emails requesting help. Terrible guest service and they've lost my custom for good. My advice: Go elsewhere.

Clean room, comfortable spacious bed, good shower, fluffy white towels, a good selection of food for breakfast with good coffee .... helpful, polite staff. Would definitely recommend. We appreciated a room with an opening window so fresh air during the night.

I didn't go here for a stay. I was there on business. But it's a lovely hotel and the staff are great. Well worth staying there overnight I'm sure

Stayed here for a concert we were going to, great location, taxi cost us £6 to the arena. The hotel itself was lovely and clean, and the staff were really friendly.

Good size double room, staff great, helpful. Check in was easy, parking available ( must register vehicle at reception), breakfast choices very good. Room comfortable & clean.

Not the most impressive looking hotel and so I guess i should not have expected more, but I did as Ibis hotels are normally better. Reception was nice and clean and I felt most people on reception did not really care. I sign by the bar saying no draft was the next sign of things to come. When up to the first floor to be greeted with the smell of sick. Rooms were OK, bed with fine and it was clean. I had a good night sleep and in the morning when for the breakfast, I like all that followed looked in shock of how poor the breakfast was. A selection of around 10 bits of meat, a couple of cheese, a few sweet treats, cereal and a toaster. If your doing a continental - then do it. I would not say again if i have another choice, but would if all else was booked up.

Not the best place to stay by any means. The rooms were small and the bathroom felt very confined and the fit and finish were poor or worn out. The problem with our stay was the neighbours were smoking weed in the rooms and stunk the whole place out and were lots of loud (shouting) talking until 4 am so didn't sleep well. The mattress was old and sunken in :( The breakfast was decent though with a good variety on offer and free parking for guests which is a bonus.

Comfy bed, amazing shower, lovely continental breakfast and very friendly staff. Stayed here for visiting Birmingham Town Hall for a gig. Bus stops near the hotel. Much cheaper than in town. Everything we needed.

Good hotel , room had a window above the bed , which was breezy and noisy , was clean and warm .Nice cold breakfast , very polite lady in breakfast room and lovely gentleman on reception on our return from our concert at midnight. Free parking which is a help with an easy bus into town.

Having travelled internationally for many years and staying at hotels on the highest rating scale, I was blown away at the level of professionalism and the personality of Marie Christopher the Operations and Events Manager! This hotel is only as good as the people who represent it! With nothing really around this location that grabs your attention Marie is definitely the face of this hotel and makes its location and amenities stand out! If all of the ibis styles hotels have a Marie Christopher at the helm we will definitely use them going forward. Marie many thanks to you and your staff you made our UK trip feel like we were home away from home!

This was a perfect stay for one night for a family gathering. We had three different rooms during our stay and they were all different sizes. Mine was a little smaller than the others but perfectly fine. There is no air conditioning but fans had been placed in two of the three rooms. The road outside is very busy so if you are on the road side and it's hot and the window is open you are likely to experience a lot of noise. The side of the hotel I was on was fine although no view other than a roof space. The staff were friendly. The basic breakfast was fine and included in the price but don't expect hot food for breakfast. It's continental. The bar prices for a hotel and in general were excellent value. Would stay here again.

The room itself was in a state of distress, grubby and needs a good clean. There was a function on that we wasn’t made aware of that we were told would be finishing at 2300. at 0015 the music was ongoing, it wasn’t just loud it was horrific the base made our room vibrate on the 3rd floor. it was horrendous, we couldn’t sleep, could t even hear ourselves think, staff couldn’t have cared less. Then people were returning to their rooms shouting swearing, banging and being generally loud until approx 0530am!

All style no substance. We were really disappointed with our stay from the start. The staff were disengaged and not very welcoming. The room was narrow and awkward. The breakfast was substantial but there were no veggie options for cooked breakfast eg just bacon and sausage. The rooms however were fairly clean and the free parking was a bonus.

Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Room not as shown on Internet. Very small. Road side so unable to have window open. Broken floor tiles in the very small bathroom. Excellent breakfast, cooked and cold options.

Good hotel with parking. Lovely breakfast with added hot food bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, croissants, cereals, fruit salads, yogurt, toast. Friendly staff. No frills hotel but decent location and friendly staff, decent rooms and good breakfast make this a good place to stay for the Black country Living Museum (about 20 mins by road) Comfortable beds, rooms are OK but not overly large. Can use the lounge downstairs to eat in if ordering food in. Good reasonably priced hotel compared to London prices. Functioning lift for all 3 floors.

Wouldn't class it as a 3 star hotel. The rooms could do with tidying up. Corners and edges are neglected and we even found what looks like small bugs under the pillow. Service really needs improving. TV wouldn't work properly as some buttons on the controller didn't work. Went to tell the receptionist and it seemed as though she wasn't too bothered to help. Told us they'd come and check in 5-10 minutes, but 25 minutes later I had to go back down to chase, finding the receptionist having a laugh with a colleague (only to then tell me they're really busy that's why they haven't been up yet and forgetting who I was even though I only went down 25 minutes before). She did come up in the end but also made a sarcastic joke when I also asked whether there is an iron available. Can't speak on behalf of other staff but this individual really came across negatively as if she couldn't be bothered in general. Breakfast was okay. The usual basic continental items. Plenty of other hotel options on Hagley Road so wouldn't return here unfortunately.

Bar was very overpriced (£11.80 for a double Bacardi and coke) and the staff didn't seem to know what drinks went in which glasses. Was offered a plastic glass as they didn't have any pint pots, then I ordered a pint of ale, and they put it in a pint glass ?! So they DID have glasses, I asked her to put the pint of coke in a glass instead of in plastic and she looked confused. She served a martini in a champagne flute and then gave another point glass for a small bottle of peroni when we could clearly see half pint chalice glasses available 😬 We found staff not to be as attentive as previous years, and breakfast was a let down compared to previous visits too sadly. Glad we only stayed for two nights this time. We ate elsewhere for breakfast on the second morning despite it being paid for. Who doesn't have standard breakfast pastries such as pain au chocolate, but does offer doughnuts and chocolate muffins for breakfast instead? Very strange. Orange juice for breakfast was cordial, and there were only two cereal choices (bran flakes and cornflakes). Definitely not the service we've been used to at this hotel in the past.

Nice simple hotel. They had a good breakfast selection. The little bar is nice of you just want to stay in and chill. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Poor customer service from the night staff spent most off the night with what I can only assume was her partner ignoring the phone and huffing and puffing every time a customer needed help, room was not clean (hair in bed and on the towels) the entire hotel was noisy untill very early hours of the morning and I do not mean the traffic noise that was hardly heard and the tea and coffee bar had not been restocked and the continental breakfast was basically none existent. Would leave zero stars If I could will not be staying again. First time ever having a problem with ibis

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, My room was dirty and the lock on my door was broken so I had to wedge a chair under the handle every night. Couldn't move as there were no other rooms available. I made a complaint to the hotel and have resent twice more and they have never even bothered to acknowledge my concerns. Hopefully the pictures I sent them have made them clean the blood off the laminate by the bed and the 'unknown' brown clumps on the curtains. Especially concerning when they advise on there extra cleaning measures from the pandemic... just not this room perhaps!!!

Nice friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The only slight problem I had was when I tried to get into the room, I used a rollator for walking, and It was given a challenging space to get into. Now it could have been my fault as I booked online so might of missed requirements needed. But yes I would recommend anyone to stay
