Recently stayed before an exam and I was a little unsure of what to expect as previously I had always stayed in the Aloft Marriot hotel.. I was so impressed! The friendliness and efficiency of the staff was second to none. The lady who arrived us in and later served in the restaurant is a great asset to the hotel. The room was amazingly clean and spacious, I regret not staying here for my previous study trips!

I come and stay here for Aston Villa games (I am a Villa fan) when they are playing at home on anyway night because I can’t get back home on the night. It’s very convenient for Villa home games, as the hotel is very close to Villa Park Stadium. It’s easy walking distance which is about 25 minute walk to the Stadium. If your a football fan and looking for somewhere to stay the night, I’d recommend you stay here. The hotel itself is very standard, the rooms are good, the food is probably the best and depending what month you go, it is reasonably priced. The restaurant for dinner was probably the least best due to the lack of staff on as there was 2 members of staff on duty and I was waiting for my Mixed Grill for about 40 minutes. There is no issue with breakfast, as it is a self service.

Good quality chain hotel. Comfy, clean and pleasant. Didn't use the restaurant so can't really comment on that. The room had everything that we needed and was clean. Only issues for me personally are that the lift is a bit slow (not really a big issue but a bit annoying after a long day) and I think this is the first time I've ever had to pay for parking for a Premier Inn. This might be due to the proximity of the city centre but seems to be security based and my car was still there in the morning so I can't really complain.

We had a brilliant stay at this hotel prior to flying on holiday from Birmingham Airport. We were unfortunate to have a car accident whilst exiting the car park however the staff were absolutely fantastic. They distracted the children and allowed us to leave the car in the car park, free of charge, so that we could continue to the airport and make our flight on time. Not the best start to a holiday but made a whole lot less stressful thanks to the caring staff.

Not the best premier inn I’ve stayed at we were on the ground floor and the room smelt heavily of damp. It was so strong it hurt the back of your nose. Being October and still mild, the room was really stuffy. No problem you say, there will be air conditioning. Yes there is, but Premier Inn has switched it off central so it only blows air temperature out very slowly too. You also have to pay for cad parking. To get out you need a code, only displayed at reception which staff don’t appear to explain to guests. This causes a daily queue to get out and confusion at he front barrier. Staff are pleasant enough but I would hate to stay here for more than one night.

Great hotel with super staff. Clearly, the staff really care about their roles and guests. Breakfast was very pleasant, and the bed was so comfortable I slept brilliantly.

Usual Premier Inn refinements, good location for Birmingham Centre. There is paid parking on site but this is a popular place so booking in advance is usually required. Has its own restaurant food is akin to fast food but the breakfast is good. Expect to pay a little more to stay here a demand is always high.

Excellent location , 10 min taxi ride into city , quieter location out the way. Staff were amazing epically the duty manager, all staff were freindy , Birmingham people are particularly warm and freindly. They work extremely hard and make a great team. Love premier as you can't go wrong, the beds are super comfy and had a great weekend, highly recommend.

Clean, cosy, lovely staff. Good parking. Great location for Birmingham city centre. Nice big room for a double, with good in-room facilities and amenities. Creaks from someone walking around in the room upstairs were frustrating and kept me awake for a while but didn’t spoil the stay. Next time will request 2nd floor room.

Bed bugs!! To begin the room we were allocated was extremely hot and stuffy, it was an incredibly noisy ground floor room, i could hear people upstairs stomping late at night and early in the morning, so sound proofing unusually ineffective. The noise from upstairs people walking was startlingly loud, causing the room to shake making my baby uncomfortable and keeping us all awake. Their were no sockets near any beds and the only socket was beside the kettle across the room which was another issue we faced. Worse part is we left the hotel and next morning we were covered with bed bug bites and have been unwell since. Premier inn have done nothing despite me emailing and complaining, terrible customer service. Please please avoid dont risk your health.

Great Premier Inn and good location. was £8 Uber into the centre but easy to get too and massive car park which was £6 for 24 hours. Cheaper than a lot of Premier Inn City Hotels.

By far the worst premier inn I’ve stopped in… WiFi signal is awful if you’re slighty half way across the hotel… went down for a meal, waited to be seated for 10 minutes (restaurant was only half full) and was seemingly ignored by who seemed to be the restaurant manager, twice… starter took 20 mins to come, forgot to bring my drink… main came about another 30 mins after the starter was finished and even that came without the side… waited ages for the bill, and then another 15-20 mins for the manager to sort out the VAT receipt. Huge credit to the two young staff though, they basically ran the whole restaurant by themselves, and the young lad offered me a free drink to apologise for the wait (I politely turned it down as I didn’t want him to think it was his fault). On top of all this, parking is £6?! It’s never been more than £3 at any I’ve stopped in before if they charged. The room is nice, but that’s about it👎🏼 frustrating experience

What a wonderful experience I have had here at the Premier Inn in Aston Birmingham. Was greeted with warm and friendly staff and was looked after throughout my stay. Accommodation was sublime with a lovely bathroom. Dinner and breakfast was very yummy with a good variety of dishes. Would like to thank Tia for her kindness, work ethic and professionalism. Have observed her working the reception and restaurant, looking after the customers and being open, friendly and always smiling. If Tia is not a manager, she should be strongly considered for this role. If I am booking a room anywhere in the future for work, in the UK, I will be happy to make the Premier Inn my first choice.

I frequently stay in Birmingham. This did a job, staff are really friendly. This hotel is about 20 minutes walk from bullring and new street. Ideal though if you need to be in and around the university. Rooms are good and you can't go wrong with the beds.

Below average hotel. Really run down, needs a refurbishment desperately. Our room (219) had a really strong, distinct smell of mould, which was quite unpleasant. We would have told the staff but they were never at reception when we went by and we were not in the mood for the upheaval of moving rooms. Thankfully, the bed was comfy and we got a decent nights sleep. Would not come back here though.

We checked in at 23.00 we got a car and no one explained parking rules until we got home we got an parking ticket said we parking on private property. We tried calling Primair In one hole day and no answer 🙃 That is extortion. £50 fine? We booked a night we checked in 23.00 went to a party came back 4 .30am checked out 11.00 am

Great central location and close to the city centre. Helpful staff but the reception is not always manned and it can take ages to get attended to. WiFi is very poor in the rooms unless you buy the ultimate upgrade, feels like its intentionally slowed down.

Stayed here last week for 4 night's. Unfortunately working away. 😫 . On arriving at the hotel i was greeted with such a warm welcome from tia and becky it made my stay all the more pleasurable. Decent Premier Inn. Liked the large shower head. Water temperature was great. Noticeable dirt around toilet hinges, otherwise all clean. Bed and sheets comfortable. Window and air con did the job. Plenty of parking available on site on my visit (pay to park). Intermittent free WiFi. On site bar/restaurant was good, nothing particularly special. Steak with surf and turf option turned out to be 3 prawns on top. Would stay again if working in area.

Stayed at Premier Inn Aston twice now for Athletic events happening at the Utilita Arena and Alexander stadium. The location is perfect for those venues and the cost of the accommodation is very reasonable. Staff are very friendly and give excellent customer service. The restaurant also serves very nice food such as steaks, mixed grills, and fish etc at fair prices. Room was nice; bed was very comfortable. I do bring my own pillow as I think your head gets used to sleeping on a certain pillow so I think it’s a good idea to bring your own. I also brought my own fan; not just to keep myself cool but it is also a great tool for drowning out noise from other guests and has a soothing effect when trying to sleep. Will definitely be staying here again when I’m back for the commonwealth games this summer!

Our stay really was made by the staff. Sabrina checked us in after hours on the road, the room was lovely and clean and cool (very sunny day). We requested extra towels and they were given to us straight away as well as rescheduled breakfast to later on. In the morning Sabrina was on again and working with Tia in the restaurant. The customer service from both these woman was excellent. Great location just off the M6, food was great and service excellent. Will definitely return.

Staff good but building needs a bit of maintenance, bit dog eared. Certainly not up to normal Premier Inn standard. Stay at a different Premier Inn is my advice

A bit difficult to find, as the sign is slightly tucked away. We checked in late at night, pretty smooth process. And paid £5 for the parking overnight, ample of spaces to park which was the main reason we chose this premier inn instead of the one on Broad Street. Sleep was comfortable, woke up a few times due to a baby crying in a neighbouring room…that’s just baby’s for you testing how sound proof rooms can be.

Good location for Birmingham City Centre, Bullring shopping etc. Identical to other Premier Inns for layout and comfort, beds are fine and room is clean. Pillows are wafer thin so ask for more if you want to. Room was very warm at night so get one with air con if you can. The worst part is the noise: the hotel is extremely creaky even on the ground floor, which makes sleeping difficult. If anyone moves around you will know about it. Parking is charged at £5 per night. Not ideal but it's convenience for the city centre makes this inevitable. Breakfast is now served as a buffet again. Dinner is pretty good actually, but service takes AN AGE. Everyone is friendly but you'll be waiting a while. Leave yourself plenty of time to eat. You should also book a slot as there aren't a huge amount of tables.

Staff were great but the rooms were super hot even with the AC on. It kept making noise all night and didnt go below 19 degrees! Outside temperature 26 degree you can imagine how our sleep must have been! Absolutely poor.

This hotel was not too easy to find due to no entry on a couple of roads nearby that the sat nav didn’t know about. It’s also situated on a massive industrial estate, which at first worried me due to possible noise etc, but once you get there, you see they’ve done their best to minimise noise by planting trees and bushes all the way around. These also make the whole area look good too. The car park is a good size, but there’s parking charges of £5 a day even if you have a blue badge, this is a bit disappointing when you’ve already paid for the hotel etc, it felt like another extra money maker for the car park owners. Inside it’s quite small/compact. The reception area can’t really hold more than one or 2 small families to check in. The corridors are long (like most of their hotels) but this one didn’t seem to have any kind of air conditioning in the corridors which meant that walking to your room (especially if it’s further away) is very hot and humid. Inside the room, they’re set out like all premier inns, which is something we like about them, because you know what to expect. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy and it had air conditioning too which is a must here because it’s so hot inside. One thing that affected our stay here a lot was the creaky floorboards. They are so creamy that it’s impossible to walk through the corridors quietly, and you also wake in the night to the floorboards creaking, because people are walking about in their rooms or walking passed your room. We didn’t have any meal with them as it seemed quite expensive so we went out to get a take away. If you drive out and come back the £5 parking is still valid, so that was helpful. One thing that I didn’t notice available was a leaflet holder with leaflets/brochures from local events or activities. We managed to find a few things to do ourselves but having the leaflets would’ve made it a bit easier for us and it also helps local businesses display their place. Overall I gave this 3 stars, because of the lack of air conditioning in the corridors, the super creamy floors and lack of leaflets about surrounding places to visit. The cleanliness was brilliant though, and although the cleaners seemed worn out when I saw them, the rooms, corridors and reception were spotless.

Clean and tidy with large rooms to. onsite parking at £5 per night. About a 15 min walk into town through Aston University. Have stopped a few times and will do again

All round decent hotel. Great customer service, all staff seem to care about their roles and the hotel. I cannot fault them. Fiver for parking is fine, large car park. Breakfast was good, they have vegan options etc. Very comfy bed. Definitely recommend them. Great location.

Premier inn standard which is good. However, this one has a couple of issues that need addressing, staff mainly absent, clearly a problem with masked youths in the area. The hotel was fine the area on the other hand is questionable. Vending machine does not take cards / broken. Looking at another review from 5 months ago this is clearly an issue. Hotel can be quite noisy.

I visited here September 2021. The staff were very helpful and my room was very clean. It is close to the centre but more importantly it is close to where I wanted to go which is why I am returning this December. I have impaired mobility and the only gripe I have is that my room was quite a way from the reception. I will telephone a little nearer the time to ask if I can have a closer accessible room. Otherwise the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

  • 5/5 Thomas S. 1 year ago on Google
Been 2 times for a week each, staff are attentive and have supported all my needs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and have a 'thinking space' which could host meetings of around 10, but in my case a comfortable space to crack on with office work in peace, free from distractions.

Stayed 16 Sep 22. Room and bathroom were ok. Problems started at breakfast. * Waited quite a while to be seated ,despite the place not being busy. * asked for more beans! Chef took the container away, came back with it unchanged, yet said nothing to me. * when I checked out, if accidentally dropped a suit carrier hanger in the room. On returning to collect it, the cleaner had deposited it in the bin! I asked if that was how they handled lost property. She said "it's only a hanger!" Note that it wasn't a basic wire hanger or anything disposable. * on exiting, there was no way to tell how to open the barrier. Turned out it was 'my fault' for not having noticed the code at reception, despite no one mentioning it at check in. Even a sign at the exit would help. I was one of 3 drivers with the same predicament and when I'd arrived the previous evening, I now realise, another driver was also trying unsuccessfully, to leave. Why have such a complicated system? Why not simply mention this at check-in? There's too much complacency in this hotel and they need to become customer focused.

Ideal location to get to most places in Birningham. I needed the hotel for work and was only 5 mins away from site. Just remember to ask for the voucher for reduced parking charge. Clean, helpful staff, lift and restaurant. Highly recommend for the price.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, availability of breakfast items could be better, asked for 2 poached eggs, got 2 fried eggs and I'd almost finished my breakfast by the time they arrived

  • 2/5 Nic P. 1 year ago on Google
Booked the business conference room which was basicly a old cupboard with a broken fan and a doddgy Aircon with the only window with natural light covered by the projector screen. Room smelt of damp and was a awful space to work in and have a meeting. Kitchen was closed for lunch so had to order lunch from uber eats. Bed rooms where fine and on par with most Premier inns.

  • 3/5 András K. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are nice and looks clean. The restaurant slow a bit and they forgot the fried eggs what we ordered. The food is tipical but good quality. They charging £6/day for parking. Easy to find the location but noisy a bit if you on the ground floor facing to the car park.

  • 5/5 A R. 1 year ago on Google
It's a Premier Inn and the rooms are pretty much standard! Nice clean room and bathroom. Shower is weak and water conserving but does the job. Mattress was firm which I like but may not be for others. There are charging USB slots on either side of the headboard, a useful feature. It is fairly central in location. There's a car park of decent size and I didn't find it difficult to find a spot in 2 days - £6 for 24hrs. The rooms have individual AC units, should be a godsend during summer.

This was my first experience of staying at a hotel as a wheelchair user and was wary of the struggles that I might have. I booked an accessible room which had wider doorways, loads of grab rails in the bathroom, lower bed, and buttons/pulls to alert someone if you need help. On arrival, the ladies at reception immediately rearranged the other rooms so that my carer had a room on the ground floor too, without us even asking. Much appreciated!!! Staff were all wonderful and super friendly, great food at the adjoining restaurant too
