Stayed 30 June to 4 July 2022, for the Edgbaston test. We booked three rooms. All were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Fridges in each room was very useful. Beds were comfortable. Norma, our host, was friendly and helpful. Our location was a short journey from the city centre, but immediate surroundings were quiet. I really could not recommend this accommodation more highly. Thanks, Norma, for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

This place is absolutely amazing, I'd never thought I would find a place that's as close as it can get to a home. Absolutely brilliant. All the amenities necessary, cozy, quiet, super clean... Sleept like a baby.

What a lovely and welcoming place. Beautifully clean and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Lovely garden and outdoor seating as well as extensive indoor space. Rooms are lovely and clean with added fridge, tv and tea and coffee. Highly recommended

The owner was fantastic throughout the duration of the stay - very friendly and willing to help in any way she can. All rooms were very spacious, comfortable and well equipped (all rooms have fridges too!). Breakfast was great and caters for anyone's taste. Parking is on the road so can be a bit annoying, but no complaints aside from that.

We were given a warm welcome, and even though we had 4 dogs this was not a problem. Norma gave us a lovely big room which was beautifully decorated, and very clean. Had a lovely sleep as was very quiet there it was just a shame we only spent one night there, as would have liked longer, hopefully if we are at crufts next year we can stay at this lovely lodge for longer. Would highly recommend this hotel .

This place is a great small hotel/ bed and breakfast for when visiting Birmingham with easy parking off road right outside and has some great little extras that most city hotels don't have. The garden out back is a little oasis and is a lovely spot to have a cuppa. The hotel has a kitchen that guests can use so no need to eat out for every meal if staying for a while and I believe you can also use a washing machine there. Our room was clean and neutrally decorated with a good quality bathroom. The 5th star is only missing due to the culmination of a few minor things such as the room being a little plain (nothing on the walls), only bananas for fruit at breakfast and no tea or coffee sachets in our room (though I'm sure that was just a simple oversight as there was a kettle and mugs and the owner was very friendly and I'm sure would have been happy to bring them up if we'd asked). We'll definitely look this place up again if staying in Birmingham again.

Great facilities, great cleanliness, great decor, great rooms, great wifi and lovely garden to look out on over breakfast. Great staff too - Norma was very personable, friendly, welcoming and attentive and didn't blink once that I arrived at breakfast with only ten minutes left and still in pj's! Food and tea was delicious. Slept perfectly with no noise complaints; highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Thanks for having me guys!

I stayed at Westbourne Lodge for 4 nights in early March. I couldn't have found a better place. Yes, the room may not have been the most modern but Norma's welcoming and very friendly personality easily made up for that. I loved the free hot drinks (hot chocolate every night after I made it back through the snow!) and the fridge in my room. Very convenient! The place was very quiet with free off-road parking and only a few minutes by bus from the city centre. I will definitely be back the next time I'm coming to Birmingham.

Wow. Had the most wonderful 5 day stay with Norma at the Westbourne. Room and everything else very comfortable. In the midst of a hot summer opening the windows to the large garden and park cooled the room quickly. There was also a fan but we rarely used it. Everything you need is there, kitchen, laundry, large lounge. Norma is a great landlady. Very helpful, even printing off arena tickets at short notice. Uniquely during the Commonwealth Games the Westbourne seemed to be one of the few B+Bs that didn't ramp up rates. We had a car and there was always parking out front. The breakfast is small, cereal, fruit and yoghurt with hot drinks but it seemed enough. Thanks Norma from the Kiwis

Just checked out this morning 17th March. What can I say? Norma is a fantastic host, courteous and professional. The place is spotless, you get access what what I can only describe as a clean industrial type kitchen with every cooking equipment you could need. The room although I was told was a small room, I’d say it’s not that small, but the linen/bed was quality as was the room with fridge lovely corner modern shower and it was lovely and warm. Could not fault this place at all. Would always stay here if I was working in this area again, absolutely good value for money, secure and quiet with the added bonus of free off street parking. Thanks for a great 3 day stay Norma. Kindest regards David P

Norma is the owner of this excellent facility. It is perfect for professionals, who need to work for a period of time, in the Midlands. There is ample parking, washing machine, dryer and kitchen. There are also stunning gardens, to wile away your hours in. It is always spotless, as she maintains high standards and has excellent cleaners and helpers for her Gardens and she is very kind hearted with great tips for tourists.
