Wonderful hotel, wish we had stayed longer! The staff were all so friendly and attentive. We stayed in a family room on the very top floor which was so exciting for the children - usually family rooms are in the worst parts of the hotel so it felt like a real luxury to have such an incredible view. The room had an ironing board and iron which is also rare in a hotel of this standard. The room was impeccably clean and the shower was huge. The beds and pillows were comfy and it had nice quiet air con. Breakfast was fantastic, my youngest son was excited by the automatic pancake making machine, my eldest appreciated the juice and milk being in dispensers rather than jugs so he could manage them independently, and I was impressed with the jams and spreads being in dispensers rather than individual plastic pots which creates huge waste. The children were also offered activity packs at breakfast. Besides all that, the location is fantastic! So impressed and surpassed the standard I would expect from a fairly budget hotel. Will definitely stay again.

This is a great hotel in an excellent location for all the city Centra and only a few minutes walk from Birmingham New Street station. The rooms are well equipped, clean and have a comfy bed. I like the desk space for you laptop as I stay there on business. The bar is only small but all you need really. The breakfast is very nice with loads of choice.

Came as a surprise for my Hen Party. Room is basic but comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and iron. Shower is Brill! Nice and big with a powerful shower. Breakfast could be better not very warm and only 7 options for cooked breakfast (2 of them veggie sausage type things). But pastries, cereals, yogurt fruit etc available also. Staff are very friendly. The 2 security on at night are lovely and so friendly! Had a good old laugh with them while waiting for our just eat order at 2am. Good location. Not all that far from Broad Street. Would definitely return if we come to Birmingham again.

Good location with a couple of car parks in close proximity. The room was spotless, and newly fitted out. Comfortable bed, great shower. Breakfast was good also, lots to choose from, full English or continental. Coffee wasn't great, but the vegan sausages were really nice. Reception is on the 1st floor, good access for all abilities. 3 lifts available. And you need a room key card to get above the first floor. Thanks for having me πŸ‘β˜•

Good location a short walk from the station, bars shops and restaurants. Comfy good size rooms. Breakfast was included, it was nice, not the best but for the price can't go wrong. Would stay again.

Superb service, staff went above and beyond. Our room was beautiful, the view incredible and the shower was amazing. The pullout bed mattress was so comfortable which isn’t usually the case. Breakfast was lovely, the two ladies at breakfast were so sweet and kind and a big shout out to Kim who found a fan for us before our stay. Can’t wait to come back, you made our first ever visit to Birmingham positively memorable. This hotel deserves more than 2 stars. Outstanding value for money. Thank you, memories for a lifetime for me and my family.

Quiet area, if you want to be close to broad St but not totally in the noise and chaos, this is your best spot. Close to canal for restaurants and bars, breakfast has a decent amount of selection plus teas and coffees. The breakfast area has plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait for a table. The room is spacious, with no noise from the outside. The only issue is the septic tank. The flush was not as high pressured as the usually are.. I'm not sure if that is normal or if there was a blocked somewhere, but it took 15-20secs of holding down the flush for it to work, and still, it was low pressure. Kenya at check-in was friendly and accommodating. She was able to get me checked in early, which was great. All in all, 2 nights stay was great πŸ™‚

Never been to this chain before, but due to an event in the City centre I wanted somewhere to stay. I chose this hotel mostly due to the location, the amount I was willing to pay and that it came with breakfast. Just like most chains they change the price based on what's going on, the previous night would have been half the price, but that's what happens everywhere. Great room with a window, ensuite, TV, desk and large bed... Plenty big enough for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with choices of cereal and cooked. Coffee machines that dispense all types of drink at no extra. The staff were quiet, hardworking and polite.

Well located - only a few minutes walk from the Mailbox and Library. The hotel is clearly very new so everything is plush, clean and working well. The rooms are the new style holiday inn express rooms with comfy beds, a seating area/desk for working and a nicely laid out bathroom. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best I've had at an express with veggie sausages and hash browns included. Would happily stay again.

This hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The room was spacious and very clean, very nice modern bathroom and nice large walk in shower. The breakfast and reception area are nice too, very modern and airy, on the first floor of the building. The breakfast is pretty standard, the usual buffet style with the standard hot and cold items for full English or continental. The staff were great throughout. Great value hotel for the quality you get, would recommend. Only downside is that I didn’t have a specified room so I got a twin, would have been nice to have a double since I was traveling alone.

Late booking for a Concert. Ideally placed for the bustling Canals and for the Utilita. Expensive at Β£125 a night but quality good, Breakfast excellent and Receptionist very helpful. Bar prices vary from Expensive to 'How Much?', but it is what it is.. No stress and altogether a lovely weekend.

Quick check in, happy to take our bags to the luggage room as we were early for check in as well as holding them before our lunch time train. 10 minute walk to train station and not too noisy at night. Good breakfast options and can get coffee pretty much any time. As hot was great to see cold water and clean glasses on offer at reception desk. Friendly helpful staff

Great budget hotel, easy to find and only a 8min walk from New Street station. Staff on reception were so lovely (need to mention Sean!) and the hotel was really bustling. Rooms were very comfy, clean and modern and breakfast options were in abundance. I think it was Β£7 for breakfast and it was well worth the price. This isn't a luxury hotel but it was comfy and clean and the rooms were a good size. Staff were really helpful with giving us papers maps to help us find certain places nearby and I can't fault any element of our stay!

The hotel provides the basic necessities: comfortable bed, free internet, free breakfast. The room is a bit small but the bed is quite comfortable. For business purposes with a small suitcase this room is fine, but for longer stays, the room is tight. Breakfast is decent but selection is limited. Selection is the same every day. It would be nice if the hotel were to at least vary the style of eggs and fruits from day to day rather than the same items. After the 3rd day I was tired of the same items. The location is great. It's close enough to everything is within walking distance.

We stayed for 1 night and it was a fantastic stay and exceeded expectations massively - so much so, we've booked another stay for later in the year. The staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. Rooms were great, size was good and they had everything you could need. Good quality toiletries included too. Everything was clean. The complimentary breakfast which is included was also a wonderful addition and worth having. Such good choice and everyone is catered for. Really handy location close to all amenities nearby.

It's was my first time staying at this hotel. I really like feel of the interior. It is modern and bright. The hotel staff were welcoming the bed was one of most comfortable I have experience so far staying in Birmingham. The rooms are nice and spacious. The shower is nice great water pressure.

We always use this hotel for an overnight stay in Birmingham. It's great value, the staff are very friendly & the free breakfast is amazing. Gave the rooms 4 stars due to a few little stains on the floor but the beds are comfortable & the shower had good pressure & temperature. It's a short walk to Brindly Place.

Great hotel, very clean, quiet, warm, good breakfast inc in the price. Great location with short walking distance of New Street Station, shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, library, canal, Cathedral and Christmas Markets too! Well done Holiday Inn Express staff!

For a budget hotel, the standards were first class. The entire place was spotless and fresh looking. Staff were chatty and knowledgeable. Rooms were well kept, nicely laid out and also very clean. Located 5 minutes from New Street Station and the city centre.

Absolute great for a 2-star Hotel. Good modern and functional standard rooms especially for single travellers. For 2 people the Standard rooms might be a bit small. Good breakfast and great location: less than 5 minutes to the Mailbox, 5 minutes to Broad Street and maybe 10 minutes to National Indoor Arena.

Small but perfectly formed rooms. The free breakfast is actually really good - lots of options, good coffee, the granola and yoghurt was solid. Nice bacon baps. Service here was really great - was able to check in an hour or so early and everything was smooth and easy. Happy to look after bags before/after check in too. Central location less than 10 mins from New St Station.

Sound Holiday inn. Well located for International Conference Centre. Clean and tidy hotel. Decent rooms and great buffet breakfast. The Reception on the first floor means the entrance in little chaotic. The lifts are s….l….o….w! Staff very friendly.

This hotel is located in one of the beat places especially if you are in town for a concert. We were in walking distance of the O2 academy which saved us an aweful treck in the dark. The staff were fantastic, the complementary buffet breakfast was a lovely suprise. The buffet was open for quite a while with it closing at 10am on a weekday. The rooms were very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and they size was very good for the money spent. The bathroom was clean and the hotel offered toothbrush, toothpaste and other necessities all you had to do was call reception and it would be waiting for you to collect. The price was very reasonable as was the check in and check out times. The weather in Birmingham was not great at the time and when we asked reception for an umbrella they did the best they could to provide us with one. Definitely one of the nicest experiences I have had at a holiday in express.

The location is perfect, it's close to everything. The room is really clean and spacious. All the staff are extremely friendly and have great personalities. I like the fact that the staff can be themselves here and that they don't have to pretend to be someone else. The breakfast was alright, you can have a couple of coffees and some toast and fruit, which is fine. I have stayed here a few times for gigs and i really like it here. There is a really nice pub round the corner and it's close to the train station and a lot of gig venues. The staff are all really nice, which makes a difference and is why people like me make return visits.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the staff who were all faultlessly helpful and cheerful, and made our family stay special, with a special birthday welcome in the room. Rooms are pretty tight for 4 of us sharing but was happy to have this option rather than having to book 2 rooms as in most hotels in the area. Shower room nice and modern, breakfast very decent for a 2 star.

I'm not a seasoned traveller, but had a lovely stay. Staff were really nice. Very short walk to the symphony hall . Smart room. Great View from 11 th floor. Good breakfast selection. Requested veggie hot options and within five minutes were brought to the table. Fresh, modern layout.
