Booked this place last minute, found it on Google. Getting to the car park isn't easy. The car park was a good size easy to park. The bins in parking lot were overflowing, car tires all over the garden. I arrived after 11pm, so I called the number the lady came straight away, seemed ok so far the corider, and reception was great. Then she handed over the keys to Hell. I was room 13, the room was fairly basic TV on the wall ensuite. For the price seems alright. Got settled, a seen something running past it looked like a reflection then when I looked closely they were an infestation I managed to catch them around the room. There was one even on the bed covers. I took my shoes off, and the floor was soaking wet, full of damp. I went into the bathroom, the toilet seat was smashed up so you couldn't even sit down. When I tried to leave the bathroom my feet were stuck to the ground. The floor was very sticky. After all that shock, The TV didn't even connect to any chanels. I spoke to staff, but they was fully booked.

DO NOT STAY HERE. If i could give less than 1 star i would. When we pulled up we were greeted by no reception but a blank grey door we had to push a buzzer to get let in. It made us feel very unsafe, the receptionist was nice and after showing us the room which had a weak lock and a disgusting list of issues including security, insect infestation and generally cleanliness issues we didnt even unpack, we just got up and left and found somewhere else. +free parking, and lady at the counter was nice. - other male member of staff was rude and unprofessional, room was a state, bed looked unwashed, condiments were dirty, stains everywhere over everything, ants and other insects on the furniture and around the condiments Etc etc

Can't fault staff as when needed things they did help. The place could do with a really good clean as the bathrooms were disgusting and definitely haven't been cleaned for months. Couldn't even open our window as the window handle was snapped off.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was fine, the bed was good, the windows worked, I could turn the heating on and off and the shower was excellent. The area is peaceful and I slept well. For the price it's brilliant. Don't come looking for luxury. It looks like it's closed down, there's junk outside and the inside is all worn out furniture and dodgy DIY. The room was much better than the communal areas though. It was rough and ready but it was clean and everything worked and felt safe. Once you check in you get the door code but it's padlocked at night and you have to phone to get in after about 10 (speak to them first) and if you need anything you go down to reception and buzz. The lady on reception lent me the iron and turned the lights on so I could work on my laptop in the reception, she was very friendly and helpful. Bring shower gel etc or buy it at the local shop, and bring some decent coat hangers. On the whole basic but I liked it. And I got the awesome bling headboard.

Nice n friendly staff & reception lady. Budgeted price but you get good service overall. Free breakfast & tea coffee in the room. Some area need to upgrade little bit.

Absolute waste of money! Dirty, small and in a bad area. Had to call a land-line to be let into the building after 11PM and had to call for at least 15 minutes before getting an answer. Wouldn't stay here again if it was free. Save your money and book somewhere else.

If you want a clean hotel. Do Not stay here. Sink was broken, room was dirty, shower was dirty. I have literally spent over 2 hours having a bath at home, felt so grubby leaving The Prime Lodge. We paid £40 per night. In all honesty it was worth nowhere near that. There was a kettle in the room, only 1 mug, no teabags etc. Sheets were grubby. 1 towel, which looked about 20 years old. The lady on reception was nice. If I could give this place zero stars I would 😔

The room is not that bad as others mentioned, and I think most part of the room is clean. The heater works really well and the room is warm and cozy. Yeah, there is some little spot or stain on the wall or in the bathroom, but for me, it's acceptable as the facilities are not brand new. A £30 private room with bathroom, don't have too much expectations but still good for one night stay

People paying pennies for a room then moaning about the place. Some strange people about.

Very dirty and smelly hotel. The toilet was broken and didn't flush. When not using the toilet, water trickled down and made an annoying noise that will not let you go to sleep. The shower had mould everywhere which is sickening. The sink didn't have a cap on so you can drop anything down there. All the filth is visible without the cap on sink. The heater for the room didn't work, it was freezing. The TV is too small, it's an old 1990 box TV. They only gave one towel for a double bedroom for 2 people. Which is ridiculous. The bed sheets and cover had dirty stains. The mattress was so thin and useless that you can feel the wood of the bed beneath it let alone the springs of the mattress! The pillow was so rubbish and so flat, it won't even support a baby's head. I'd need 5 of those pillows to consider it adequate. The cups for tea/coffee was so dirty. Put me off from drinking from it. Steer clear of this place

Very scary experience. We arrived and felt instantly uncomfortable. A man came along and began shouting at the receptionist lady which made us even more uncomfortable. When we got to our room it was crawling with ants which began crawling all over our bags and in the bed. The furniture was broken and upholstery worn away. We decided to tell them we couldn’t stay but when we got to the reception the man who had been shouting at the lady was there and seemed rather unhappy that we wished to leave... luckily we found somewhere else cleaner and safer to stay!
