Location was the only good this, as it is 10 mins away from the Bullring shopping centre. Hotel is dated, so single plane glass causes issues (heating and road noise). Shower was pants, no pressure and can't change the temp higher. Toilet needs atleast 4 flushes till anything goes. Hotel not appealing from the outside. Breakfast was dry. We only came for one night, but I think that is all you need..

Definitely recommended if you like American Motel like settings. Great if you don't want to keep having to walk past the main desk every time you come in or out. All rooms are basically outside, with stairs taking you to the few different levels. The room itself was clean and modernish. I woke up late and missed the checkout time, so I paid for extra to compensate.

Pre-booked in advance (6 weeks ago) for an upcoming concert, and was last week cancelled for no reason. Room selected showing now as available for double the price. The cheek of it.

Absolute s***houses. Cancelled our room booked for an upcoming concert, saying the hotel was closed for the foreseeable future. Check on same date and room is avalaible but double the price. Mind boggling, how is this legal?

Do not stay here. One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, I don't normally leave reviews but had to after staying here. The exterior was uninviting, having to enter through a cage-like fence upon arrival. The motel style setting meant you had little-to-no privacy. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything being said in the room next to us. People were smoking on the outdoor walkway directly outside our room and the drafty door meant the smoke would waft in and the smell lingered for a long time. The shower had very little pressure, almost dribbling out. Only positive was friendly staff. We did not stay the full night, leaving in the evening to go to a similarly priced but much cheaper hotel nearby.

Such as disappointing stay, the bathroom's fan vent was blocked with layers of dust, the road is very noisy alongside the so called security who's meant to be patrolling at night clearly not doing their job as their were loud noises at 2am. Tried speaking to the manager but they expect you to come and make your complaints at 2am during the night which is a joke, don't stay with this hotel ever, please avoid as they are a poor quality Ibis hotel.

Stayed here twice but my second visit was a bit interesting because the bath was full of stain. I was gonna suggest to clean it using bleach to get rid of the stain but I couldn't bother. The room itself was clean, fresh, spacious, and tidy. The noise upstairs kept me awake though. Overall I will definitely going to stay here again.

As they say don't judge a book by it's cover. Small cozy modern inside. Reception/ bar again cozy friendly and warm as you enter. Overall good price central to town short walk. So if you don't want to stay in a big overwhelming hotel this little hotel is good enough. Clean βœ“

This hotel is very close to the O2 academy, but that's where the compliments end. Walls look and feel like they're made of paper, providing very little privacy - you can hear everything from surrounding rooms and surrounding areas. Lots of road noise. The front door also looked like it didn't fit in the frame properly, giving me doubts about any sort of security. On top of this, the rooms are incredibly dark and gloomy with terrible lighting and the TVs are mounted on the adjoining walls meaning you can hear next doors viewing, whatever time of night (though sadly not enough to cover the sound of whatever else they were doing). There was a door into the next room in our room (again very thin). The water pressure and temperature were terrible. The staff were also not particularly friendly or welcoming, honestly. In conclusion - don't waste your money, stay somewhere else.

Stayed for one night. The room was clean and the staff were great, but there were lots of downsides. My door wasn't sealed properly, so draughty and noisy. The passageways to the rooms were dark and felt unsafe. The door giving access to the hotel grounds (and therefore your front door) was open to anyone. The location isn't ideal; you have to use an underpass to get there on foot from the city centre. The cooked breakfast was over done. It was almost impossible to get a suitable shower temperature as the cartridge in the tap was knackered. Wouldn't stay here again.

This hotel is within the Birmingham Clean Zone so be prepared to pay Β£8 a day charge online. Parking is Β£8 too. The room is very clean but they are all chalets from the Pontins era. You can hear people and car park noises very clearly from just outside your room door that leads directly the car park and stairs. Lucky I brought my ear plugs. πŸ˜’

This is a very budget hotel - If you imagine a Butlins holiday resort with chalets then you won’t be disappointed Rooms extremely basic and shower was a very light stream of water. But for 1 night I suppose it’s OK - very overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was surprisingly good!!! Hot and good choice of English breakfast items, cereals etc

Room was ok , clean & bed was comfortable..The downside was ,I was woken early hours with a man & woman fighting & screaming. The man was saying Give me my money...I thought they were in my room was so loud.was to scared to go to look out of window....went on for ages & other voices joined in. Β£107 for 1 night. Wont be staying here again

Second time staying here, both times we have been to a gig down the road and the location of the hotel is perfect! Stayed in an IBIS hotel the night previously and had a not so great experience. However we were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this hotel. Good: Cheap, perfect location and nice secure parking. The check in process was easy and quick! I love the style of the hotel, reminds me of an American Motel. The room itself was very clean, tidy and the bathroom was spotless. The bed was large, a good size TV and a desk. The desk was perfect for doing my makeup or using the laptop. Surprisingly I had a quiet night's sleep too! We didn't have breakfast or food but the menu seemed like it had some nice stuff on offer. Liked the showerhead in the bathroom too! Bad: The outside and Inside of the hotel are a bit dated and not too pleasant to look at. I think it just all needs a jetwash/repaint.. inside of the hotel rooms the walls need a repaint or serious wipe down! Key was hard to use but maybe that was just us but it hardly worked and the door didn't appear to look completely shut once in the room. The noise was a bit of a problem up until around 12am but after that was quiet, I think closing the windows helped. Room smelt very strongly of perfume/air freshener but after a while it wore off and we could smell smoke slightly. I think a lot of guests smoke right outside the door causing smoke to come into the room, I think no smoking on the grounds needs to be a thing if not already. However, we love this hotel so much and will be back ☺️

Brilliant location for the o2 arena. The place is great, room clean bathroom excellent service was nice and friendly. Of course you get what you pay for but for the cost the place is fantastic

Very noisy rooms you can hear traffic throughout the night, lorries passing. The water pressure is ridiculously low and makes it difficult to shower. Feel run down. Would not recommend.

Literally 2mins walk from 02 academy, so perfect. Excellent breakfast and friendly and very helpful. Whilst being disabled and if when you book request disabled , they have ground-floor rooms with walk-in showers . So overall highly recommend.

Room OK.bed comfortable. Bit dated.check in staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast a big let down .it was cold .no fried or scrambled eggs only an egg omelette. Asked for a vegetarian sausage and was told it would take half an hour to cook.why ?? Shouldn't vegetarian sausages be cooked and ready for guests that want them.very disappointing for the price

The rooms are a bit basic but serviceable and the environs are a little lacking, but the staff were really friendly and I had a good breakfast each day. For an affordable price it's an option for sure.

Was very disappointed in are stay at the hotel last night. The shower was Intermittent as went hot and cold all the time. We only had one small towel in the room. The cleaners need to respect the guest in the morning as at 8 am Sunday morning they were dragging the hoovers up and down out side my door. In the end I got up and told them to pick hoover up instead of dragging it. Very disappointed with the stay.

On the positive the rooms are spacious and very clean and well presented. The bed was very comfortable . The rooms look like they are chalets which have been converted into rooms On the negative its not easy to spot. There is a budget ibis in the next street and its easy to get confused There was also a lot of noise from the traffic that goes by Also they charge for using the car park which was not made clear when I booked. However it is gated so felt that the car was securely parked Would use again. It's handy for Edgbaston cricket ground and the centre of Birmingham

Stayed for concert at 02 arena and as it was just up the road brilliant location for the venue. Cheap, clean comfortable and friendly. Worth more than its 2 star rating and would definitely stay again.

This place is nice enough, however the pictures really fooled us. From the pictures I saw, I thought this would be a clean, well presented, modern hotel in a nice area. When we arrived we thought we must be in the wrong place. Both entrances are on a dimly lit street up a steep hill, and the front of the hotel seemed old and out of date. The rooms are a far cry from the fresh and modern rooms they have showing. While I appreciate that they are showing them in the best light, stepping into the room was underwhelming as a result. It was a tired motel room, complete with worn carpet and thin walls. Overall this place felt much more like a motel than anything else. Cracking and peeling paint fills the walls outside, plus a generally grimy feeling, and the difference between what we were advertised and what we got made this a very disappointing experience.

Good location very clean room. Only loses a star for tired decor but that's not really a problem. Love the fact it has an opening window not many hotels do nowadays. Essential for hot flushes!
