Just what I expected. Simple, basic narrowboat life. If you're expecting a luxury, boutique stay, don't come here. If you're expecting what's advertised, enjoy! The photos are accurate, I've posted some of my own. The family room has it's own bathroom, I think the 2 doubles share from what I can see. The living/cooking area is also shared, but I had it too myself the 1st night (I think most people eat out as it's so central). Good water pressure & heat, & control of the heating for your room. Dividers quite thin as you'd expect on a boat. Owner really friendly & happy for you to contact if you're struggling with anything. Would stay again if in the city.

Unique experience in the centre of town. We only split this between 4 of us so it was a little pricey for what it was. Don’t sleep towards the back of the boat if a generator will keep you up! Pretty cool place to chill. Quite peaceful place to wake up in the morning sun!

Not big enough for 8 adults. Needs serious tlc, ran out of water, toilet backed up resulting in horrible stench, not a secure lock on door, shower flooded floor, oven broken, heating broke, water scolding from taps, broken loo seat, constant buzzing noise at back of boat resulting in one adult having to sleep on sofa. Needs a good clean throughout. In saying that, quirky, nicely situated, unique experience, could be a great business but needs serious upgrade.

5 of us went and stayed over for a friends Birthday, we were a little apprehensive when we booked, but we can honestly say we all had an amazing time, the boat was clean, well equipped, spacious, warm and cosy, and would definitely recommend. We are hoping to return again in June for another Birthday celebration!

So this is not a fancy hotel but it has a charm. If you’re looking for something a bot adventurous, go for it. We enjoyed staying here.

It's fab. Not for people who like 'corporate', but definitely for people who like things original and 'non-corporate'. it's also right in the middle of city.
