One of the worst experiences ever! The management of this hotel is really problematic.. The location is also not convenient.. Their check-in time is up to 11pm, so if you’re planning to check-in after 11pm, make sure you have booked another hotel as you won’t be able to access your room..

10/10, I had a lovely time at this Hotel. My room was clean and had a good quality shower, and was well-stocked with tea and coffee. It was also nice that there was a separate entrance I could use to access my room instead of going through the pub. The Hotel staff were very nice; excellent customer service, nothing to complain about there! The Hotel breakfast was a real stand-out. Great selection of teas, coffees (and hot chocolate!), with fresh fruit, mini croissants, yogurts etc. Brilliant.

It's what it says when you book a room, budget hotel. I was looking for a cheap place for a night close to the Birmingham 02 and this is very close. I had a small, basic room which was absolutely fine for me. The only issue with my stay was that the shower only had very hot water and the cold seemed to be locked close which made it impossible to have a shower. I'd use this place again though, pleasant enough.

Generally very good for what you pay. Warm and tidy room, quieter than expected given the area and in all a comfy staff. Staff are very nice and always try to help you. We had one little hiccup during our stay (nothing major and something that was outside of the hotel’s control) but the manager, Marcus, and another female staff member were brilliant. Very pro-active and more than rectified the situation. Would stay here again and happy to recommend.

Cafe racer inside was stunning! Great service and amazing food would go back in heartbeat. Was quite in a Sunday lunchtime

Good conversations with a diverse crowd at the bar, Guinness, cocktails, fun and professional staff, legbreaker stairs, and a city building code that prohibits window frames that stop the rain or wind. 10/10 would recommend.

Great location for city centre, Station and the Alex theatre. Super room good size and spotlessly clean. Checked in at the bar and Ruby showed us to the room and explained everything. Once in the room we didn't need to go. Through the bar to go out or come back in as there was a door for hotel guests.

This hotel was lovely. The people were welcoming and happy to help. The room was clean and had good amenities such as hot drinks, hair dryer, etc. It was perfectly situated for us as it was across the road from the O2 academy where we were going that evening. There are a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance, as well as the train station. The continental breakfast had a good selection - items were refilled promptly. Overall very happy with our stay and would recommend / stay here again.

Unfortunately I have to give a very low rating ti this Hotel room. It is literally labeled as a "family room", but it was extremely filthy! When we first entered we could literally smell the mold even though the window was open! And then we saw it: loads of black mold under the windows. This is not acceptable, especially if you are travelling with kids. I was so happy, that we only booked one night. The bathtoom was very dirty! There were literal brown lumps of i-dont-want-to-know-what sticking to the walls (my kid was forbidden to go in there!). At night, with all windows closed, it felt like they were all open - there was a massive, cold draft and after that night we were all sniffling and coughing. This is definitely not a family room!

Excellent stay here for a few days, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, we slept very well here. The bar is great too, high class cocktails. Staff are excellent and attentive, many thanks to Marcus and his friendly team.

staff was friendly and the bar downstairs is welcoming! The room is nice but could b bit cleaner and the window would not shut fully- if u have trouble sleeping w noise around this hotel is not for u, it is directly besides a big street and cars and ambulances pass by constantly. It is located nicely tho being close to the Chinese and gay quarter!

Small but perfectly formed room. Immaculately clean. Amazingly comfy bed. Great value for money and very handy for Birmingham New Street station. The member of staff that welcomed us was very helpful and friendly 👍

Stayed at the hotel for a week in January. The staff are very welcoming , the room was spotless clean. The bed was amazing , nothing was to much trouble for staff. Just a shame they have Indian food bar an not a fullenglish breakfast. Price was tidy too. All in all I will be returning.

Location was excellent for my work, 5 min walk away. Rooms were bright and spacious, the beds are super comfy. The building has great character and the staff are really spot on for a centre of the City Pub/Hotel. Very friendly and ready to chat. The bar is really good and an experience to be had. Livley music all together a great experience.

Smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Walls quite marked with splashes and drips of who knows what. Tiny bathroom, shower leaked all over bathroom floor. Very convenient if you are attending the O2 and the "Indian Racer" restaurant in the backroom is truly excellent, but not too much going for it as a hotel.

Stayed in room 2. 100% no frills. The bed is comfy. The curtains are decent and the shower is good. That’s pretty much all I can say. You get a bed, a kettle, a telly and the bathroom. No tables or chairs and NO ROOM whatsoever. If your just after somewhere to rest your head and literally do nothing else then it’s sound. If you wanna hang your clobber up or do anything other than shower and sleep go to a holiday inn.

The rooms are small - double beds don’t quite seem like double but is comfy. Relatively clean; basic amenities - but you get what you pay for and price and location is very good!

Rooms are very tight. Was over there during summer, hardly anu ventilation with Georgian windows. Right next to main street hard to get good sleep. Good bar and good location

The room was clean, but if you're on the ground floor, expect some loud music being played and traffic noise. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street station, so perfect for shopping, dining out or partying. I think this venue is more suited to using it as just a base before having a night on the town. There's a fully stocked bar, catering to most alcohol tastes. I didn't try the food, so can't comment. Overall an ok experience.

Friendly staff. The room is clean and good value. In many ways you get what you pay for. If budget is your top priority it's not a bad option at all. There are some expected compromises. First, my room was tiny (I think they have bigger ones). There was no desk/chair so I couldn't work because I can only sit on the bed. Also, if the bar/restaurant isn't open, there are no staff. There's no breakfast and you're on your own if you have an issue. The area is not far from the centre but the area feels rundown.

Had a beer in the bar and stayed the night in one of the rooms. The space in the room was limited but adequate. It looked clean and were happy with the amenities.

It was great to see how this pub has been transformed . Since the new manager Steve has taken over things have improved massively . The food is great , staff are extremely helpful and the communal areas , toilets and rooms are decorated to a modern high standard . Would highly recommend . Great collection of gins and Prosecco is lovely 😊

Located at the perfect spot only about 10 minutes walk away from new Street station/bullring. Room was very clean and had all the amenities that I needed. It was perfect for staying one night.

No Parking whatsoever. Location is great. Walking distance from town centre. No door bell on main door and it's coded. I was really puzzled when I went to pick a family friend. I had to ring him to come outside.

Small & clean room good for 1-2 nights. But it was cold as heating was off and wind was going in from window which was next to bed. I could feel the wind straight to my head. No internet and no hot water the morning before my self check out. Check in was not the best also as I had to wait another check in before me and the pub customers to be served. One person for everything.

Organised a stage night for a Bank Holiday weekend there and booked out all 14 rooms. The team were welcoming, helpful and the group had such a good time at the pub below, they didn't venture out into the city until nearly midnight! Would highly recommend them.

Excellent customer service provided from the staff across the hotel. First time visiting your hotel and God willing it won't be the last especially if you are hosting the champions league final tonight. Thank you for great hospitality during my stay with you.
