Stopped in here once while shopping at West Quay and it’s such as lovely little place I’ve been back several times! The food is all absolutely lush, especially the loaded fries in my opinion! Loads of gluten free options too! I love sitting upstairs and looking out over the park, such a nice, welcoming environment with very friendly staff. Even if you’re not vegan the food here is wonderful and I highly recommend.

I wasn't that impressed unfortunately. The wholefoods vegan burger tasted nice but fell apart completely when trying to eat it with my hands, customer service not great, the guy put me on a table that hadn't been cleared/cleaned and said he would clear it for me, but he never did. Maybe I came on a bad day..

I so wish there was still a thrive in Bournemouth this place is epic. Amazing freshly prepared vegan foods with unbelievable specials. Today I had the new year burger which was out of this world. Staff are lovely and the kids meals are great value.

Like quite a few people this year, we thought we'd try out Veganuary. We have been finding it hard. This place has been a god send! Great food, stuff to buy to take home too. Even after Veganuary finishes we'll be back as this cafe is fantastic.

Decided to come here here as one of my mates was vegan. At first I was a bit reluctant about the menu (seitan wraps- the devil sounding name hardly stimulates the appetite) but the food turned out to be quite excellent. The desserts were just as equally amazing despite not having contained traditional animal based dairy products. Staff were really friendly and accommodating as well. Just get ready for a bit of a queue as the place gets packed.

Just visited here after desperately trying to find a food place that doesn't harm animals - this cafe/restaurant is amazing. A huge amount of sweet treats available as well as breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches, Buddha bowls and shakes. Highly recommend - and no animals killed in the process!

Absolutely the most delicious food. Our first visit, we had the Christmas Sandwich and the Reuben Toasted Sandwich, and shared a huge portion of crispy chips. The sandwiches were full of lovely flavours - that sage and onion mayo! Both were generously filled and equally tasty. Great service, atmosphere, views of the park and food - we're looking forward to coming back. You must go and try it.

My absolute favourite place to go for food. They always have loads of cakes in their counter and they change specials every week so there's always something new to try. They do desserts and smoothies. Service is fast. Incredible vegan food & drink.

Brilliant tasting food. Large portion sizes for the price. Lovely team and incredibly fast service considering how busy the place was! Satay fries is a must! Thank you!

My favourite cafe in all of Southampton! So happy that a vegan cafe is right in the city centre. Amazing food and drinks, and dog friendly which is so convenient! Really lovely atmosphere and the staff are super friendly.

OMG! On holiday for a couple of days in the area, and found this place on the Happy Cow app. If this was the only place I visited the entire trip would have been well worth it. The food is amazing, the range, variety. AND ALL VEGAN! We had two of the salad bowls one with salad, mushrooms, roasted veg, seitan pieces jalapeños and one with salad coleslaw, pickled red cabbage, feta, and fried onion pieces both with ranch dressing. AMAZING! Very impressed.

Amazing vegan food! The staff was very lovely and quick. It had a large variety of foods and tasted amazing. My parents are both vegetarian and said that they never tasted vegetarian food this good and I myself I'm not and thought the food was amazing. 100% recommend.

Really tasty sandwich - the New Yorker Reuban. Very gooey, [vegan] cheesy and with a yummy sauerkraut bite 😋 staff very friendly too. Nice for a lunchtime treat.

we went for something fresh and got exactly what we wanted! we found a smoothie bowl but didn’t notice they had stopped serving breakfast, however they were determined to still serve it for us! best food i’ve had in a long time, will definitely come again.

Been here a few times and this place is amazing. Massive menu selection, all vegan and absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly, polite and quick service. The atmosphere is relaxed and as someone with sensory difficulties, the music is not too loud and the lights are low which is really helpful. Also, the cakes are to die for!!!

Excellent breakfast! Portions were decent, price was better than other places we’ve tried, food was really good, staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return! We also bought 2 cream filled chocolate covered doughnuts to takeaway, which were great, and so much better than the usual dull vegan sweet options from most other places, like boring flapjacks or dry brownies. These were proper, indulgent treats! 100% recommend!

I've ordered from here online only until today, every order has been great but eating in house....So cosy! Such a nice atmosphere, staff are lovely and friendly. The food was top notch as always and the puddings super yummy 🤤 you got a forever customer here!!

Overall a very nice spot, will be coming again. Loved the corndog however the iced mango chai was kind of bland and the biscoff donut was a little stale but still nice overall. Fried cookie dough is good but can get a bit sickly so best to split it. My friend said the breakfast muffin is top tier and that she always gets it so must be great!

A fantastic all vegan cafe with an ever changing menu that’s creative and delicious! I only wish they offered more of their sweet treats throughout the week as well as just the large selection they offer on a weekend. Highly recommend to vegans and non vegans!

This place is always a really reliable source of good and very filling Vegan food - whether it's their breakfasts like their all-day breakfast muffin, their burgers and wraps or their immense selection of cakes and treats, Thrive never disappoints! I usually go and try their weekly specials, so check out what they're offering for the week as well!

Great selection of food and drinks for those seeking the animal free selections, tasty offerings with something to suit all tastebuds. Staff are friendly and provided insights where needed, sitting outside to enjoy summer weather was a bonus

Came here for my birthday lunch. Always exceptional the food & drinks. When we go to Southampton, we make sure Thrive is open & make sure we pop in. Purchased too many birthday treats & cakes on our way out though, just couldn’t stop being my birthday! See you soon for more indulging 😍

Great little place hidden away a little. Food is great, seem to always have a gimmick menu going on that's fun and tons.of choice with vegan stuff. Can't recommend enough, maybe a few quid pricey especially with drinks but great quality.

Been here already few times but just tried milkshakes and cakes for now. Everything is vegan which is a plus but the cakes are wait too sweet for my liking can taste only sugar unfortunately. Next time I'll try one of the burgers.

Food and service was good. Don’t get the cheesecake! Thrive bowl is great! Extra large fries can feed 4. Sweet Chile Chicken wrap was ok not great. Prices are reasonable. Great location near other restaurants.

Nice and welcoming place. A varied and rich menu. Everything we tried was really good! They also have a good choice of products such as vegan cheeses, chocolate, marshmallows…

So much choice, one of the best vegan places I have been too. Has made going out with friends easier when they want to grab a burger King or something I can go here to get my fix. The staff are also all really kind and I just couldn't recommend more.

Absolutely delicious vegan dishes and a perfect crispy seitan chicken recipe. The sweet chilli wrap is well recommended. There is an offering of vegan desserts and craft beers as well. The cafe also feels very welcoming to LGBTQ+ people.

I had the breakfast bap - really tasty and an apple pie milkshake, just too nice! The service was quick and friendly. Shame we were only in the area for the day as would love to return!

  • 4/5 Elaine D. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely tasty food. Worth a try even if you are not vegan, although food is quite pricey. They also offer gluten free baps. The chips, whilst also fairly expensive are huge portions and easily enough to share. One thing to note, if you want mayonnaise, you have to pay for it and get the tiniest tube....about a dessert spoon full.

Friendly staff & relaxed atmosphere.. yummy vegan food and devilishly tasty vegan cakes designed to drive a wedge between you and your sadly failing diet.. reasonably priced too.. tucked a short walk away from the bustling shopping centre, just past forbidden planet.. well worth a visit, sit in if it's winter or when it's warmer, outside in the seating area or even across the road in the park opposite.

Lovely little place to grab some food with so many vegan options. The hoisin fries and cheesecake was amazing, so I definitely will be back to try more. The lady that served me was very friendly. As it’s small it can get busy so unfortunately we couldn’t get seated so got it to take away. I will add I won’t be using the silver cutlery when I return as I observed a male member of staff picking up the clean cutlery at the fork, knife and spoon end with his unwashed hands after clearing dirty tables, touching food etc… not hygienic at all. Thankfully there was wooden cutlery. Best vegan option in town so I will be back next time!

A delightful surprise, what a lovely place to be with loads of delicious vegan options! Everything we ordered was beyond exquisite! I’m not a cafe or restaurant kind of person but this cafe is definitely worth anyone’s visit! Loved it loved it loved it!

Café Thrive is an excellent vegan cafe in Southampton. I've only ever had takeaways but I imagine it to be a lovely place to dine in too. There is outside seating available. The main menu is pretty stable but there are always specials which change with the season. My favourite bit is the cakes!

I discovered this place by chance today, needless to say the food was amazing served with a delicious drink as well! The staff were really friendly and patient as we did not know what to go for as there is plenty of options available It is rare to find a Vegan cafe with this much choice, I will most definitely be returning in the near future
