My recent visit to the Golden Egg near Ypsilanti left me with nothing but praise. The vibe at this place was absolutely fantastic, setting the perfect tone for a memorable brunch outing. The service was top-notch, and we were so impressed that we left a generous tip for our clerk. If you’re ever in the mood for brunch, I highly recommend giving Golden Egg a try. They offer a diverse selection of dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings without overwhelming your stomach. I particularly appreciated that their offerings weren’t overly spicy or harsh on the stomach. During our visit, we indulged in the Lumberjack omelette with gravy sauce, a hearty and flavorful choice. Additionally, we couldn’t resist ordering some pancakes with grinders, and they were simply delightful. I can’t wait to return to Golden Egg for another delightful brunch experience. It’s a place that knows how to make your morning special, both with its atmosphere and its delicious menu.

A friend recommended this place and I’m So glad I came in. The food is amazing I ordered the hunter’s breakfast and it was a 10/10. Service is top tier, Hiba is the sweetest she was my server and was very attentive all while having 10 other tables to attend to. I loved watching the cooks make my food and loved the conversation my server and I had. I would for sure recommend this place to anyone that’s in the area looking for a high quality breakfast.

This is a typical diner. Great food, served quickly by very friendly staff. They were busy in between breakfast and lunch crowds. We didn't have to wait to be seated. Plenty of parking and handicap spaces are available. I'm glad we stopped in.

Good "Diner" food. I ordered biscuits and gravy and was sad to learn that both items are not homemade. They would make a lot more money if they made these extremely simple items in the restaurant. The wait staff werewonderfully warm, friendly as well as fun! .

Our first time trying this restaurant, thanks to other reviewers. Exceptional standard breakfast, we tried one of their skillets, pancakes, cinnamon toast and so thankful to find breakfast sausage patties. I'll be going back for more breakfast's but I want to try their lunch menu.

We always refer to this restaurant as OUR LITTLE RESTAURANT.. it is our #1 choice every time. We are pretty much regulars there and are greeted by name. They are not only top of the line in the food but all around in every way. Would and do recommend this restaurant to everyone 🙂

Excellent food and service. The place looks very unassuming but its old school breakfast is stellar.

very good service and the food we got was tasty, but there were lots of unavailable items on the menu, which was a bit annoying. gets very busy and has an old school vibe, which I loved.

Favorite breakfast place in town. The only constructive thing I could say is I wish they were open later! But the staff is amazing, food is quintessential homey diner breakfast. There's almost always a wait for a table on weekends, but that just goes to show how popular the place is.

My fiancé and I LOVE it here! We are new to the Ann Arbor area and this was the first restaurant we tried a while back and it is the only restaurant we frequently visit! The staff is awesome, the food is so good, and you can't beat the prices. It's usually busy when we go, but we typically can get a spot at the bar right away. The French toast is so.damn.good!! Thank you Golden Egg for the delicious food, awesome service, and affordable prices!

Literally the very best breakfast in Ypsilanti. I mean it's far above the second best in Ypsilanti. So if you're having breakfast in Ypsilanti go there for sure. Lastly it has a good almost great location on Washtenaw avenue.

Was happy about the decision I made coming in to this restaurant. It's like a little ma and pa type vibe. Lots of options and decent pricing! They serve breakfast all day which I love! Food was pretty decent I got biscuits and gravy however they were not up to par. I did not care for it. My food was cold and biscuit was hard and dry. I talked to my server and she did remove it from the bill. I ended up just getting chickie tenders and fries but they were absolutely SO GOOD! And they have the good ranch ;) lol! Wish I could remember the waitress loved her very sweet and kept coming to check on us of we needed anything. Really appreciated her service! Overall it was a great experience. 10/10 recommend.

The food was good. Unfortunately, they don't have the breakfast special they used to have. So instead of spending $5 on it, it was more like $9.

Ended up going here one morning because it was one of the first restaurants to open. I'm very happy I went because the food and staff are wonderful. Also great prices for the quality of food.

I couldn’t be happier! I am normally at work before they open but today they were open at 6 am because the morning crew from W4Country 102.9 FM radio station were broadcasting from their dining room! It was awesome - breakfast and a show. Sincerely, everything was fantastic. It’s amazing how much food you get for the price. And the food could not have been better. Everyone works here as a team which means you never have to wait for your server or even look for them. It added to family environment. I am very, very happy. COME EAT HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL LOVE IT! p.s. How can anyone go to a fast food place for breakfast when there is this gem??? You can’t claim that drive-thru prices are lower when The Golden Egg has better prices and eat better food. Plus, you’ll get to experience some of the kindest and great team here. Seriously. Come eat here.

This place is fantastic. The people are so friendly and welcoming. The food is great. Try the pumpkin French toast or the navy bean soup. The prices are very reasonable. Sit at the counter if you can and chat with the cooks.

The place wasn't as busy, I was given the option to choose my sit, and the waitress was immediately next to me, taking the order, bringing the drink, and in like 5 minutes my order was ready. Awesome. The food is good, and the service is awesome.

On Jan. 27 we were served by Brittany and we all agreed that we MUST leave a review because she gave us such a positive experience. A server can really make or break the dining experience, and Brittany made it. We had a lovely conversation while she came and went. The food and prices are great. We appreciate that this is a neighborhood place with its own delightful "personality," not another boring chain eatery. And Brittany's friendly, attentive, efficient service was the icing on the cake.
