Hands down one of the best and one of my favorite restaurants to eat at in Lakewood. I come here for my dose of comfort food when I need a pick me up. Literally every time I come here it looks different aesthetically and they are always on top of the interior decoration

Came here for my bi-weekly girls' food night. Phenomenal place! Unique, eclectic vibe. Friendly, engaging staff. Menu is just the right size of options. Everything that went by looked and smelled just as delicious as my actual meal! I can't wait to go back to try something else. Highly recommend!

Atmosphere was good. Everything else I didn’t like. Many positions in menu wasn’t available. Food is over priced. Im not going to visit this place anymore !

I was so excited to find this place. Not sure how I've never been here. Service was super attentive. Atmosphere is AWESOME! So much art to look at AND Bring Your Own Pen so you can sign the walls making it even more unique. The food was amazing. Flavorful and there is definitely enough for another meal. Drinks were fresh and went down a little too easy. Definitely recommend stopping here and bring all your friends!

Food was copious and well prepared. We had a taster plate with tostones. Arepas, ropa vieja, soup, and platano. Everything came quick and our server Daniela was diligent, lovely, and very kind. As we started eating it started raining pretty heavily and we moved to another spot under a patio umbrella and the thunderstorm made it hard to serve but she went out of her way to make sure we were served. Full marks and we loved the experience.

I tried this place recently and I was pleasantly surprised! It was really nice inside and when we walked in someone offered us a shot of tequila, which I didn’t partake in but it was a nice gesture. Looking over the menu, it does seem kind of pricey. I tried the Barria sandwich and let me tell you, it was great! Full of flavor and not shiesty on the meat. The sauces are also a great addition. My favorite was the garlic aioli and the red spicy one. It was a decent size and the fries were good. My go to for a Mexican restaurant is usually steak fajitas but when I saw that price! Have you ever seen the movie Baby Boy? Remember when Jodi was selling that pink dress to the hair stylist and he was like “FORTY DOLLAAASSS?”? That was my reaction when I saw the steak fajitas were $32! However, I saw someone had ordered it because as I was leaving I heard the infamous sizzle and my eyes followed. It was piled high with veggies and the glimpses of steak were more chunks than strips like usual places. I will be back a few times to get my sandwich again and try those fajitas!

We decided to check out this Latin restaurant in Lakewood. I have to say, it was delicious. The wait staff were very efficient. They immediately brought out 5 different sauces for us to use. Our favorite was the spicy peanut sauce. It was so good that we bought a jar of it to take home. We ordered queso with chips for appetizer, carne asada, ropa vieja for main entrees, and sangrias for drinks. The queso was nice enough with the tortilla chips. The entrees were tasty. The steak was flavorful and the braised beef was nice and tender. Since their portions were quite large, we couldn’t finish the meals and had to ask for takeaway boxes. In terms of atmosphere, the place was quite relaxing. We love the Latin music playing in the background. They play a variety of salsa, mambo, bachata, and merengue songs. Overall, I can see myself coming here regularly for their food and drinks.

Second time here. The food is a little overpriced but it is good. Not the most amazing meal ever, but tasty. I think it’s one of those places where you have to find the right dish for yourself. Traditional mojito was okay, nothing special. Music is played a little too loud. Definitely call and make a reservation. The monster size drink container was very awkward to drink from.

First time here - decor is cute and we were greeted with a tequila shot, which I thought was cool. Afterwards, food presentation was good but a bit over priced. Our waitress wasn’t the best, she was nice but after checking on us once didn’t come back. The food was okay but I liked the yucca fries. There’s a lot of stuff on the menu so maybe just have to find the right stuff.

Today I visited the restaurant with some friends and their family Our waiter was Andie. The service was beyond my expectations. We ordered Steak with patacon, ceviche, ropa vieja and tacos. Everything was well prepared and delicious. Next time I'm in Cleveland it will definitely be my first stop. Success to all the Staff especially our waiter Andie!!

I would give 4.5 but since I can’t, I’m giving 5. They only thing I would “complain” about is the prices; are a little overpriced. But other than that… everything is delicious! The waiters were fantastic and so welcoming. We were 9 and all of us love the food. And let me say, Puerto Rico is the birthplace for the “piñacolada” they say 😂 but IVE NEVER IN US tried a “piñacolada” so well elaborated and that tasted sooo good. Is the best one in Cleveland, Lakewood, Medina, Parma and list can go on. I just loved the place.

Fantastic dinner as always. Not pictured, but the steak entree my husband ordered was so good he wanted to hug the chef. Shrimp fajitas was amazing and enough for two meals. Plantain banana split a great way to wrap up.

I’ve been to the Willoughby location twice & really enjoyed it. A friend was in town so we tried the restaurant in Lakewood. We both were pleased with our meal, the great, friendly service and atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure. Go try it, you won’t be disappointed. EDIT: Originally gave it five stars. The above comment still true. I forgot to include the one issue I had. They permitted a couple in with their DOG. I love all animals and have had pets my entire life. But animals have their place. They were seated near us. On several occasions the dog barked. Dogs scratch then shake as they do. This was under a covered patio. With the nice breeze I only hoped loose hairs and dead skin flakes were not landing in my food or drink. It’s a good thing the dog didn’t have to do it’s business. Otherwise,as I said above, it was a nice meal.

A very nice and pleasant environment. We ordered a plate of different minced meats, very abundant but delicious. The mojitos the best. We will be back for sure

Went here for my moms birthday and everything was really good. The service was great, we had a sever named Barry and he was supper helpful, he even gave my mom a free bag of coffee for her birthday! The food was good but it was a little overpriced. The view and where it is located is vary beautiful, it has a street view and a nice fire inside and outside. In the bathroom there is lots of graffiti done by customers and I think is really cute. Over all this place is great for special occasions or i you just want to treat yourself.

Our visit to Barroco’s Lakewood was amazing! The atmosphere is very chill. Our server Manuela very attentive and the one of the owners Carlos stopped at our table to check-in on us and service. The food was phenomenal and margaritas amazing! Looking forward to many, many more visits.

Came here for brunch and got the cachapas and arepa with yucca fries per the servers recommendations, food was great. We ended up switching tables 3 times at no one's fault, first time was next to the speakers the and music was blaring so we switched because we had a baby with us, 2nd we were outdoors and by the time we got our food about 6-8 bees were swarming our table, so we moved inside. The staff were super friendly about this even though I'm sure it was inconvenient. Plenty of parking out front. Bill was approx $50 for 2 people and coffees and juice, not too bad. The vibes were great, lots of Instagrammable spots around with cute backdrops. Would recommend and come back.

Sorry folks not a lot of pictures of the food because it didn’t make it all to the to go box but if you’re on 90 headed back west this is a must stop. It’s a little house with a big heart you walk in and kick your dinner off with a welcome shot! Flan to go to finish off the journey back west. Arepa’s are good with a twist.
