Nope. Cashier has a lot of attitude. Rude. Not service oriented. There's a way to talk to folk especially when in service industry. Won't be back. Taking my black dollars to black businesses who put effort into having respectful staff. **UPDATE**** To add insult to injury... After I posted the review I received the attached message from the counter girl.. talk about service training much needed. And she didn't tell the story correctly. my daughter ..a minor ... went in asked for a fork and it's not what she said but how she said it. I actually promote black business what I dont support is bad attitudes in the "service" industry. a simple coutesy was asked of her. It wasn't an expectation it was a simple coutesty request from a young human being. A trained service person would know the differenct. Just wow smh

Absolutely disgusting!!! Rude customer service. I was given food that was from the day prior. They did not have “pork chops” but had “smothered pork chops” from the day before. The mac and cheese was burnt. No greens so I was given dry cabbage from the day before. The corn muffin was bland. They are lazy & simply doing the bare minimum!!!! They need to be shut down. Poor poor excuse of a restaurant!

Tried the whole wing dinner with Mac and cheese and candied yams. Not bad. Staff weren't rude at all . Overall a pleasant experience. Will be back

The customer service at this restaurant was terrible. I am almost 60 years old and I have lived in Cleveland all of my life so I am used to receiving rude service at most of the Black owned soul food restaurants here. But this one was ridiculous. I placed my order and the guy who took my order began shaking his head for quite a while before saying something. Then he finally said, "we are out of cole slaw". So I asked if he had greens and he said, "our sides are on the board". So I looked at the board and saw that greens was the first side listed. So now I'm wondering why he didn't just say yes. So I went and waited in my SUV because I could tell this was a very unfriendly person. So I went back in 20 minutes later and sat down. He looked at me and nodded. So I went to the counter and he gave me a bag. I went to my vehicle and something told me to check my order. I noticed there were 2 cups and both were laying down in the bag. One of them was partially open and gravy had leaked out and busted the paper bag and dripped all over the interior of my vehicle. Then I saw that this was definitely not my order. So I took it back in and told him that he gave me the wrong order. Instead of him apologizing, he snatches the bag off of the counter and made some of the food fall on the floor and then he practically threw my order at me. I just shook my head and left out of there because I knew that I was never coming back there. I had always wanted to visit Angie's so I finally decided to go after about 30 years. Only to be treated like this. The food wasn't for me so I can't comment on the food. But the customer service is ridiculously terrible. The name on the receipt was Dennis.

I don't not like making bad reviews on black owned business so I won't but I also won't be returning. Service was not good and not bad at the same time. All I wanted was wings with bbq sauce on them and I was definitely going to somewhere else after first bite.

This is the third location I have been to and it does not disappoint. The food is fresh, fragrant, delicious. No matter which location, I have to drive 30 minutes each way to get this food and it is absolutely worth every minute. I would drive hours to get this food it is that good. If you like soul food or even if you are just a fan of legit potato salad and mac and cheese like I am, this is the only place in town you should be.

I bought a perch dinner and the pearch was so hard in the cornmeal batter. The collar green wasn't seasoned and tasted bland. The noodles to the Mac and cheese seem as though it sat in water and bland as well. Overall I would have given it a 0 or stars, but that wasn't available. It has gone down, food was not tasty and was not soul food at all. If I didn't live far I would have bout that mess back.

OK so food tastes good for sure. My only complaint is I ordered a chicken sandwich and I got two wings not boneless put on two pieces of bread. I had to break the chicken off the bone and make my own sandwich. I'll bet a tasty bun and boneless chicken would make this sandwich even better. The fries were on point. The chicken sandwich taste good for sure. But when you order a chicken sandwich it should be boneless chicken. Other then that I would definitely recommend as a quick spot to grab a bite.

I wish I would have read the reviews first before ordering. I was on my way back to Youngstown had a taste for oxtails. I went to PinPins first, the food looked good, smell good but out of oxtails. She tried her best to get me to order the curry chicken because I never had it I wanted oxtails. Angie's Soul Cafe on Emery was the closest to me getting on the freeway. First shock was $31 for two sides, corn muffin..No Rice nowhere! The greens wasn't done, the yams was ok, corn muffin was terrible! I should've gotten that curry chicken from PinPins..huh?

Tried going to the Warrensville location but once I seen the condition of the waiting area and the floor I instantly turned around. It could use a really good cleaning.

WOW! I can’t really say much else! My Husband had liver and onions over rice and cabbage. I had smothered chicken with green beans, Mac, and yams. Everything was homemade and cooked to perfection! Even the koolaid and muffin were bomb. Small, quaint spot no frills or expensive decor as there is no dine in option. But the food and customer service were awesome we definitely recommend

They won’t answer the phone, if it’s a girl there, so you don’t know if they are open or closed, and if she does answer she won’t take your order, if a man answer, he is professional, 10/14/23 smh I forgot that I wrote one last year smh, I should of followed my own advice! This one in Warrensville is the pits!! They gave me burnt hard chicken! Smh ! The one on Harvard is beautiful!!

👍 The Food was juicy good pricing and not a long wait. Went around 3:30 pm restaurant wasn’t really crowded. Got lots of medium aldi size shrimp and plenty turkey sausage they were good. The cajun sauce not to spicy. Only reason i didn’t give 5 stars is the shrimps FULL shell was not removed. However...
