Ooooof. Defenitely a second home! Awesome people, both running the place and habitating it (us, the gym dwellers). I feel enormously grateful and ebullient for this sports' safe haven. Thank you noble people!

We have been members at MVP for several years now and have really enjoyed the experiences we had thus far. However, I feel as if I need to share my experience today. The pool measures children to see if they are 48 inches by using a homemade piece of PVC pipe which most of the lifeguards all hold differently. To use the slide a child must be 48 inches tall as this is a requirement from the slide manufactuer. This summer my daughter who is just 48 in. has been going down the slide. She received a wristband when we always had her measured by the life guards. Today she was measured and was told she is not tall enough. When talking with the aquatic manager, Morgan, Here are some of the comments I heard.... 1. It doesn't matter that others have let her do it I am the aquatic manager and what I say goes. 2. After measuring her a second time she did measure 48 inches but Morgan replies, It doesn't matter that she touched this time, she did not touch the first time and that is what I go by and she was sticking her chin up this time anyway. 3. Then she makes a show out of it and asks my niece who is with us and is like 56 in. If she would like to be measured knowing full well she was plenty tall. In front of my daughter she says to my niece, yep you are tall enough would you like a wristband? If this is the type of measuring system you prefer to use then it is necessary that it is precise. It is hard for a child to comprehend that all summer she is told she is tall enough and then today be told she is not. It is also tough on the lifeguards as they are put in a difficult situation trying to decide if a child is tall enough or not because the tool they are given to use is inaccurate.

When you walk in you usually walk into the “trainers” on their phone and or with their legs kicked up in their desks. Staff is not very friendly, hardly ever get said hi to or anything and it’s just dirty. Wasn’t toilet paper in a stall and sanitary napkins were over flowing for 2 days on a row disgusting

I've been a member here for 6 years. I love the location, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the classes are taught by good instructors and the facility is well maintained. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars: $20 fee for non member day pass is excessive; and you only receive free visitor passes by earning points with visits and participating in classes. More people will join when they find they want to visit more often but $20 is a barrier to visitors and they choose to go elsewhere.

Pretty decent equipment, nice and spacious but it's so filthy and nasty. Trash is always overflowing and the times I have seen staff cleaning up most and in the men's locker room sitting down texting. The staff are behind the main desk eating McDonald's or Wendy's texting they hardly look up to speak when you come in

I have been a member at MVP since they opened in Holland! I appreciate all the amenities they offer, and such a plus to have a full size indoor pool! Class instructors are friendly, motivating and encouraging. The showerheads and fixtures are in need of a facelift. Thanks for all you do.

This is the best Gym/ fitness center in the Holland area. It has a variety of classes during the week. They have a kids club, sauna, jacuzzy, tennis courts...The facilities are clean and the staff is always very helpful and attentive. The outdoor pool in the summer is the place to be, there is a concession stand with snacks for good prices. That being said I believe the membership is pricey.

I love coming to MVP for my workout classes! Each trainer puts a lot of effort into making you feel comfortable in the class. They are very knowledgeable and have given me some great advice. The entire staff is very positive and welcoming.

This place isn’t clean and all the machines are broken and as a matter fact many of the machines that were broken were taken away and never replaced .

They have a lot of nice equipment, but it's by far the filthiest gym I've ever seen. The cardio equipment looks like it's never been cleaned and I've been to dive bars that have cleaner bathrooms then they do. Their soap in the men's bathroom has been out for 2 days and hasn't been stocked. Trash is everywhere in the locker rooms

It's a nice facility, just bring your own towels. The physical training is nice and they set you up with a plan, but it's still up to you what you do with that plan. Every one seems friendly.

If you like overpriced gym memberships, that cannot be upgraded without paying cancellation and initiation fees (again) then you might like it. If you like your favorite machines being broken for months on end then you'll love this gym.

MVP has it all! The facility is always well kept, clean and organized. Friendly staff greet you with a smile every time you check in and out. There's a long list of quality classes offered, as well as, indoor tennis courts, aquatic center and turf area. Prices are steep, but it's reflected in the overall quality of the gym.

I was charged an annual fee of $52 that was never explained in the sign up process. Candidness and transparency is vital to loyalty and unfortunately they do not value this.

Would not recommend this gym to anybody. Poor customer service, never very clean, and they will do whatever they can to get more money out of you. As a multi-billion dollar company, I would think they could do better than this.

They 'updated' the showers but only re-did the bottom 18 inches. Grout still missing, old dated plumbing fixtures. Brown fuzz covers intake grates in ceiling of men's locker room. They need to ask themselves if their members would put up with bathrooms like this in their own homes.

This gym is the best use of your money in a membership. Their cost is actually closer to that of planet fitness but you get way more out of your membership. Tons of machines and weights to use. They have a pool and a basketball court. Their locker rooms are very nice. Their staff is top notch!

Great place to workout, but many of the machines, especially the cardio, are in dire condition and need maintenance but only one person is assigned to this task and cannot keep up with the demand, therefore, lots of service is badly needed at both local locations.

We love MVP! Hoping for some diversity in staffing and implicit bias training—I think with those two factors they will only increase their clientele with diversity rising in the Holland and surviving areas.

Over priced monthly membership, an annual fee that they say you only pay once your first time signing up but you actually pay it every year. You would think being a multi billion dollar company they’re steam room would work but I guarantee it’s broken down more through out the year than it actually working

Place is fine, staff was nice enough. It's a beautiful facility, but a little over the top and spendy, perhaps out of place in this town. Wanted to swim laps in the outdoor pool (the indoor is closed for the month, a fact that is not well advertised) and sit in the sauna (also closed). Middle of my swim, they pulled the lane lines and I found myself dodging little kids jumping into the pool and playing basketball with no help from the guard. I apparently am not the target audience. Would have got 4 stars if not for that. I waffled on 2 or 3, but I dont think my experience was indicative of the whole place so I kept it at 3. Either way I Will not be returning. Not for a 20 dollar day pass , which is exorbitant - I travel a lot, including major cities and other tourist towns and you dont see that price any where else. Maybe a membership is more worthwhile.

I have been working at Holland MVP for almost 8 months. It has been such a life giving experience. I love the facility. There are so many group classes to take. I also have enjoyed playing sports again. I've always considered myself an athlete so have enjoyed learning to play tennis recently. The staff is wonderful and so great to work with. The members are friendly and a joy to serve. It has been such an wonderful community to be a part of. I've made so many new friends, and I'm so thankful that I am so much more active, fit and happy.

I’ve been working at MVP for 2 months now. Very impressed with the facility and staff. Everyone tries very hard to make it the best experience for our members. Loving the new women’s locker room. So worth the wait. Men’s locker room will be done soon and also will be worth the wait. Thank you MVP for the great working environment.

Glad to be back, finally! Had various MVP memberships for several years (family, individual, senior) and work got in the way of my workouts. I dropped membership for two years knowing I would be back. Thrilled to return. The staff and facility are beyond anything in the area. Group exercise is the best, with a remarkable range of offerings. When I evaluated other gyms in the area, the price difference wasn't significant when you factor in the group exercise component, the availability of perks like indoor and outdoor pools, and the range of workout opportunities here. One family member, years ago, worked with an athletic trainer at MVP after getting a Division I athletic scholarship. Other family members found their own niche, as did I, the aging and now senior component. There is something for everyone here if you want to get strong and maintain your chosen fitness level.

The gym has great amenities and friendly staff. Great gym overall. But everything is pricey there. Especially the family membership when theres only one option. (Maybe consider different family plans) Also definitely could use an update in shower rooms. For the price we pay I'd think itd be considered or done by now...shower heads in the mens lockers are kinda just dangling there without support. Either way I love the gym but I wouldnt say it's quite a 4 star just yet .

Best gym in Holland. I have been to many different gyms and this one has the most to offer. The cost is a little higher than other gyms, but when you get to use a pool and have most of the classes offered included in the price it is fair.

Update: the manager called and reassured me i was not going to be double charged. After this attentiveness, if i were to need to rejoin i would definitely consider it. :) Wonderful gym don't get me wrong, and I normally don't complain but I paid the first and last month upfront when I joined. I decided the drive was a little far so I went in to cancel. The billing cycle was 3 days away. The lady told me I was still going to get charged for the next month, and when I asked about the month I paid upfront she just repeated that I would still be charged for the extra month even though I was canceling before the billing date and I would not be refunded. Again the gym was nice, but extreamly disappointed with how they handled this.
