I wasn't amazed by their selection or pricing, if you look around you can find a much better selection and deal from other small jewelers. I went there for an engagement ring and mentioned that it was to be a surprise, a few weeks later I got a letter in the mail for $50 off. This stated thanks for allowing them to have the opportunity to serve me and they look forward to seeing me again. This sealed their fate, I will not go back there again and wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

I went into the store at 11:30 am on a Saturday and literally walked out at 11:33 am with a new watch battery at a very reasonable price! Lisa, the salesperson who helped me was very friendly and efficient. I would certainly go back to them.

Lisa stepped up immediately to see what I needed. I was establishing myself as a customer after relocating from another state. I needed my ring checked and cleaned and I also needed some cleaner for at home. She set me right up, all the while educating me on the stones in my ring. While ringing me up she shared the experience of the jeweler and all their services. It was a very professional and expedient experience.

I re-searched Google for a Jewelry Repair & cleaning company, and found J. Thomas Jewelers with high reviews and a lot of reviews and based on my evaluation formula, they were the third in the Troy metro area near me within 25 miles. I went without an appointment and I gave them my old Jewelry for cleaning and repair and the worker Ms. Lisa took my order and she fixed the broken chain and cleaned the Jewelry in the machine to a perfect new condition. When I asked for service price, she said it is at no charge. That really exceeded my expectations and they should get a six star review instead of the maximum of five stars. The service was fast, proficient, and free and you could not expect a better service. They earned my trust for future Jewelry purchases soon.

Staff were amazingly helpful and informative, as well as friendly and accommodating. They made my experience of procuring an engagement ring for my soon-to-be fiancée enjoyable and simple. On top of that, when my car subsequently broke down in their parking lot, they also kindly allowed me to stay in from the cold while I spent hours awaiting a tow truck. Stones were dazzling as well.

My partner and I went to J Thomas so I could try on rings just to get an idea of my size and the style I would like. Welp, we ended up picking out a ring! Chris was wonderful. I've gone ring shopping before and found the sales team members to be pushy. Chris was the exact opposite. I had no idea what I wanted; metal, style, shape... no idea. I told her that I wanted something unique. She showed me some of the rings that were whimsical and different. Instead of telling me that I needed to know what metal or stone I wanted, she showed me the options I had and guided me to seeing what I loved. Once I found the setting I wanted, she showed us various gemstones, helped us look at pricing, educated us on the type of stones we were considering, explained the insurance and payment options, and scheduled a second appointment to come back and check out the various stones we ordered. It was a special day for my partner and I, and Chris made it even more memorable. We are excited for our next step... and I can't wait to wear this ring!

J.Thomas has been our go to jeweler for over a decade. They automatically made my weeding set from a family heirloom, made some custom earrings from stones we had purchased, found some vintage diamond earrings I was looking for and helped us find the perfect diamond tennis bracelet to match something I had for our 10 year anniversary. Not to mention they make my ring shine after every cleaning! We love the team!

My fiancé and I had the best time here! They were super helpful with getting him the perfect ring to propose with. When we came back from our trip when he proposed, we came back in to get it resized and I loved every moment we were in there! They really make you feel loved from the gifts they give, to having your picture on the wall with the love rock!
