The BEST vegan poke in southeast Michigan! I used to go to the chain Pokepoke but switched almost entirely to Bahdah. It's create your own bowl and uniquely served on rice and lettuce with seasame oil (if you want). Get with the ginger dressing, raw or tempura tofu and ask for mango added 🥰😍🤩 Side note: They also have great everyday vegan and vegetarian sushi offerings. My must haves included tempura veggies & tofu, the steamed veggie dumplings (not fried), and the poke of course. They have other items such as veggies sushi and stir fry soba or tofu fried rice that I have not tried,yet.

BahDah opened quietly in March 2020, unfortunately at the beginning of the lockdown. But, in just a mere couple months, they certainly have the attention of sushi devotees in the area. And rightly so, the sushi is fresh, delicate and incredibly delicious. The tempura rolls are perfectly crisp and have the right sauce-to-roll ratio, with Dynamite and Amazing Shrimp deserving special mentions. Do not underestimate their Entree menu with the succulent Pork Katsu and the Chicken Gangjung (Fried chicken dredged in sticky sweet and spicy sauce) on it. Keep an eye out on their daily specials menu which is more than generous in price and quantity. The review would be incomplete without speaking about the family running the restaurant. From the person answering your call for a takeout, to the pleasant notes they leave on your boxes, to taping the Wasabi container so it doesn’t move within the box, it shows you their genuine interest in making sure you have a utterly delightful experience. Absolutely must visit!

We've ordered from here a few times now and what I truly appreciate is that they have accommodated my food sensitivities every single time. They've always been especially cautious, having written notes of clarity on our carryout containers (when needed), and using separate containers to avoid any chance of cross contamination. Those little details really shine through, thank you! Also, their sushi has been great every time. Their rolls are nice and large, and well prepared.

We've been here a few times for their sushi. It was fresh and the service was friendly and attentive. They have hot entrees available such as Tonkatsu and lunch specials that I look forward to trying. I believe the owners are Korean and their homemade kimchi is some of the best we've had.

If sushi does not "wow me", then I am not happy. I love sushi and am always ready for it. But this time, the sushi was not ready for me. - Spicy Dream: This was more like a spicy nightmare. It was poorly rolled and it caused every piece to fall apart. At that point, I should have just asked for a bowl and put it all in there. - Fuji Mountain: I actually enjoyed flavor of this roll mainly because of the seaweed salad top with teriyaki sauce. This roll was not rolled as poorly as the Spicy Dream. - California Roll - Firecracker and Tiger Rolls: Both of these rolls were ordered by my friend. For these five sushi rolls, a lemonade and sparkling water, it was nearly $70. I am not certain that these rolls are worth that considering the lack in roll quality. I want to be wowed and blown away when I go out for sushi; BahDah Sushi did not provide that exceptional experience.

This is clearly one of the coolest restaurants in the region. Whenever I come there I am profoundly pleased. They hold their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You always win with this place. Highly recommended.

Got takeout here couples times already. Really good sushi

This review is based on my 1st visit and I will be back. I got my normal shrimp tempura roll without cucumber. It was so good I had to eat it all. Fountain Coke products is also a plus. Prices more than fair. Staff in masks and gloves, but instead of one use menus, they are using their normal ones and wiping them off. Some tables off limits. With many other sushi places not offering dine in, this place should be busier.

Best sushi ever!!! So fresh!!!!

So i had this place before and they had decent food. I ordered last night for pickup and ended up getting sick overnight. Not sure if it was bad fish or oil for tempura components in sushi rolls, but I am wary of returning especiallly when it was $30+ to end up sick i wish i could get my money back

Sushi is one of my all time favorite foods, and Bahdah Sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to! I go almost weekly with my friends and family, and we love ordering all different kinds of rolls, Nigiris, and other foods like Udon! The staff is very friendly and always provide great service! I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great quality sushi and other Asian dishes!

I ordered bulgogi bibimbap，and I asked for more rice. They add it to for free which is good. However they forgot to put bibimbap sauce in the box. Sad! The rice still not enough. I will pay $2.5 to get extra rice next time.

this place is outstanding, fresh sushi / sashimi, great miso soup, nice seaweed salad, everything I've gotten here has been delicious, If you don't like this place then you don't know sushi.

I don't understand the reviews. Hands down, worst sushi I've ever had. Rainbow roll was just topped with spoiled whitefish (?) and low-grade salmon. "Chef's choice. 4 fish." And by spoiled, I mean it was literally rotten. Absolutely ridiculous. You need the health department called, seriously. The 17 dollar American roll was rubbery shrimp, painfully stale dry rice slathered with some reddish stuff that maybe had tuna in it? I enjoy Meijer's sushi and would pick that any day. This was THE WORST. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Worst $60 I've ever spent.

I'm really glad I found this place! Their sushi is fresh and delectable. There are many choices on the sushi menu, plus they have another menu with more food choices. The location is great and everyone is friendly there. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite sushi places in Michigan!! Their sushi is incredible and the options are endless. The prices are SO GOOD, the quality is amazing and the folks there are so kind.

Very good restaurant good sushi

Only giving it 3 stars because it was my first time and all I got were 2 rolls and they look nothing like what the other picture shows on the review before mine. It was soaked in teriyaki sauce? And very small. The free miso was delicious and a pleasant touch. I guess I’m still on the hunt for a good sushi joint around here.

Delicious and fresh sushi, generous portions and both times we've gotten takeout they provided a complimentary miso soup and salad. Also they have great lunch specials. Our new favorite spot!!

Small spot in a strip mall on Woodward but nice and clean inside. Most importantly, the food was very good. We went at lunch and the $10.50 bento can't be beat. It's amazing some folks spend that much at McDonald's

**Very unpleasant experience** **Badah not the same anymore** Took my elderly parents for dinner. Starting with rude manager couldn't get her name but started with C... She was very upset because I have asked for a table away from the crowd. She literally throws menu on the table with sad face and walks away.....Food was good. After getting bill I have realized that they charged us for 2 liquor drinks (extra $25) that we never had🍸. When approached her she didn't even apologize instead made puppy face....

Actually fresh fish with amazing rice. It literally melts in your mouth and tastes amazing. I've tried so many garbage sushi places around here, but this is where I go from now on.

Love this place! They have a wonderful variety of sushi and Japanese dishes and their staff is friendly. I enjoy trying new rolls when they have their BOGO special and also take advantage of their incredible lunch specials when I am able to. Highly recommend ordering takeout if you have a craving for sushi!

Exceptional! Ordered on Uber Eats and my order was perfectly packaged to ensure a safe delivery with no mishaps. Sushi was perfectly rolled and everything was very very fresh. Even the pickled ginger was clearly fresh! Ordered the Rainbow Roll and some nigiri and was very happy with the chef's selection of fish. Will definitely be ordering again!

Wow. Just wow! It's been over a year since I've had sushi. This past year has been trying, and our (previous) favorite sushi restaurant is too far away to warrant doing carry out. I can truly say I have a new favorite and it's only 5 minutes away! My wife said this place was clean, didn't smell fishy, and was super efficient. The fish was all fresh and flavorful, and the house rolls are very creative. Some of the combinations I've never seen or tasted before, but they all worked. I agree with my wife who said it all tasted so good she didn't need soy, wasabi, spicy mayo or anything else to dip in. The rice was tender, chewy, and not overly vinegared. I will definitely go back for carry out, and am looking forward to being able to dine in.

Wow. I'm picky when it comes to sushi. Their raw tuna tastes like the sea. Their rolls are all perfect. Every bite was delicious! And from a picky eater, that means a lot! Love the Nuke. It has a spicy kick! Salad roll was unique and fresh. Spicy tuna was delicious! I normally add sauce to everything, but tonight I added sauce to nothing! Thank you for a great dinner!!!

First time trying this spot, and absolutely loved it! The menu was super extensive, and everything we ordered was delicious. One of the selling factors was the BOGO special on sushi! Meant to take pictures to post, but we devoured it almost immediately. Miso soup was hot and fresh. I liked that they had an abundance of gluten free options, and vegetarian options. Will definitely be back soon!

Fabulous! Got crab, lobster, and tuna, and they were all incredible. 4 different items and all of it was under $40.

Ordered dragon and crunchy shrimp rolls for the first time here. It was amazing! Employees were very nice and my order was ready in time. No complaints and I’ll be ordering from here again.

Alright, here's the run down of this review. I ordered the Chicken katsu and cheesecake tempura. The chicken katsu comes with some pickles, coleslaw, white rice and the katsu sauce. The katsu sauce is a bit sweet and savory, very pleased by the taste and complementary flavors from this. The rice was very good like you could actually eat this rice on it's own or with the sauce, didn't have it warm so it may be different if you sit down at the restaurant. The coleslaw was actually very pleasant (I don't really like coleslaw) and I ate half of it. I didn't touch the pickles because I never like the flavor or texture from them. The main dish, chicken katsu, was very nice! A good thinness and coating, seasoned nicely, kinda wish there was some crunch with the breading but it was still good. Overall I really enjoyed how the dish was made and most likely I'll order this again. I also ordered cheesecake tempura, very good like a y other cheesecake tempura.
