This is a small lovely pet shop with knowledgeable staff that are happy to help and give advice.

I don't shop here too often, every time i have been though the staff have seemed uninterested and bored at work, also lacking knowledge of certain pet products when ive asked about something in particular!

Took our 6 month staffy in today for a new harness staff very helpful. We normally go pets at home but after a recommendation thought we would give them a try will be back and won't be going pets at home again. Highly recommended

Paid for two sessions to wash my dog in the self wash corner, so my time should have lasted half an hour. After 20 mins everything stopped and I was left with a wet dog. When I told a member of staff they told me I could have asked for another token......not an option for me to leave my dog unattended in the bath dripping wet. If you've paid£15 for half an hour that's what I should have got.

Update: Still awaiting the promised response one month after original message. Apathetic staff with low product knowledge and even less knowledge of pet ownership (eg which dog bones are most / least prone to splintering or the fact that even a rechargeable battery has a finite life ). Staff more interested in hanging around the till chatting than engaging with customers . Over priced, low quality products ( eg dog lights made from highly brittle plastic which is doomed to fail within a few uses . Increasingly limited product lines with centralised ordering system devoid of local responsiveness . In short, as fellow business owners will recognise, all the usual signs of a dying branch or even a dying company .

Normally great experience but not today sadly ,I made my way to the till with some ostrich chews for my dogs sensitive stomach and asked the assistant if they had got anymore braided ostrich tendon chews that I had bought from there the week before .I was told by the assistant that they do not and have never sold ostrich tendon chews but I responded back and explain that I had definitely purchased them from their shop but she then said well they wouldn’t have scanned because they are not in our system .I know what I buy for my own dog and I also spend a lot of money in that particular shop and do not appreciate being patronised and interrogated when I simply made an enquiry .And just for the record they are ostrich tendon !

The staff are very nice and the groomers deserve 5 stars but unfortunately I am unhappy with their puppy classes I came in last November 2019 to get on the waiting list for puppy classes by January 2020 they had no trainer but put me on their waiting list all of a sudden they have puppy classes but my puppy is too old to attend their class by 3 weeks I might add. It is not my parmesans fault that the covid situation took her socialisation away from her further to this the man that I enquired with said its hard to socialise dogs after 6 months to me which annoyed me as dogs can socialise at whatever age he told me my window of opportunity had closed. What a load of Croc. They have discriminated against my puppy for being 3 weeks older for the classes and I bet they would've let any other puppy in to the class if they were British. Extremely dissatisfied I have been a long term customer of this branch but I will no longer shop here.

Really getting fed up with their hyped up prices. They need to check their competitors prices! I challenged a member of staff in the difference between Sainsbury's price of Lillies kitchen and theirs. Her reply was because Sainsbury's buy more bulk!

Took my dog in on Christmas Eve for a bath as she'd got rather grubby in the woods. I've hurt my back and leg and have difficulty getting out of the car. The staff got her out of the car, and brought her back out afterwards so I could stay in the car. Truly wonderful caring staff.

I got turned away because I didn't have my card with me and only cash which I didn't think you could do. So be aware of that

Never had a problem here.....then they stopped taking cash? Like many places I just dont get why cash is an issue. Door handles, chip and pin machines, shop counters, shelfs, items on the shelfs are all touched too yet cash wooooo it's like your swearing at em. I refuse to be zombified like the rest of the sheeple been dictated too. Think your OWN mind and not be brainwashed by this massive cover up. Hopefully you see sense and start excepting cash one day soon....meanwhile I guess other outlets win your lost business.

Large organised shop and friendly staff.

No attention to detail I took a receipt to exchange 2 dog harnesses to exchange for 2 x collars. I took the leads back which I purchased with the harnesses to match colour. The lady exchanged the leads & harnesses against collars, I asked for the receipt incase I needed it but refused I ended not getting a full refund for the harnesses but cant do anything because she kept the receipt! Will continue going to the groomer But wont purchase anything again!

Have been going there to get my puppies food. The staff is there because they love animals, it's not just a job for them! Prepare to be greeted with honesty and the best advise for your pet!

I took my old English sheepdog Cooper to the grooming parlour, first visit , I was greated by a ladie called Jo ,I explained I didn't want Cooper shaving down she was very understanding & helpful she did an amazing job very professional, I will be going again very satisfied.

Do not get your dog groomed here. We took our miniature schnauzer for a wash / trim and only 15 minutes in we received a call from one of their staff members saying they needed to shave our dog as his fur was matted! We’ve been taking him to other groomers regularly for 5+ years and never before have we been told this. We requested that they not do anything further and collected our dog early. The three staff that I dealt with when I arrived were very challenging and rude. Since getting my dog back I’ve noticed that the fur on one side of his face is far longer than the other, and there’s also a bloody graze on the side of his head which I’m certain wasn’t there before we dropped him off. The two girls doing the cuts were young and seemed very inexperienced. I did receive a £10 discount on the £35 they were asking for but that seems insignificant given the stress the dogs been out through and the time/cost I now have to commit to getting him cut elsewhere.

A very good Kennelgate as far as Kennelgates go. Today a staff member spent ages helping me find the right food for one of my cats that gets urinary tract infections, she read instructions, found facts and helped me loads. Great store with excellent, helpful, well informed staff.
