My daughter rang up emergency council last night due to having no heating or hot water, ( water was pouring out from her boiler ) the person on the other end said it wasn't an emergency & to call council tomorrow. this was on the ( 07/12/20.) in this cold weather. she is disabled & has learning difficulties. rang them up today and they said it could be up to 24 hours, if there not out by 5pm today it will be tomorrow. this is disgusting so please tell me what actually now classes as an emergency nowadays.

I would like to comment about the bin collection team on the 1st of may today in the newbold area cordwell avenue for the black bins collection How kind and helpful they were collecting and emptying my bin and bringing it back down for me as I'm post surgery ..well done guys your kindness goes along way and much appreciated thank you .

Do not trust this council they have stolen an out door light . And did not return it to the rental home. We have reported to the council multiple times that there are mould and damp in the building that is a health hazard

Today (Thursday 7/1), I forgot to put our black wheelie bin (which was full) out for emptying. I rang Chesterfield Borough Council's Refuse Collection Dept., to ask what could be done. They advised me to leave the bin out whilst they rang their people to see if it could be collected. Within three quarters of an hour I was rather taken aback to notice that they'd returned and emptied it, without me even seeing them. Now that's what I call superb service. So I'd like to say a big 'Thank you!' to the people involved. We are very grateful.

Never known such a bunch of incompetent, non attentive people with attitudes that cannot be bothered to help anyone or read anything properly. I've had people sent to my property twice with the council not organising it with me or even telling me. No cares for safety of tenants either Awful.

Council OK, however their leisure centres are very disappointing. They are expensive for what they have to offer. I joined over a week ago and have since cancelled my contract due to lack of services (even though advertised). Unable to contact council via email as the 'mailbox is full'; I expect professionalism from our local council, however this is severely lacking.

This is about Stonegravels recycling. The workforce there are a credit to the Council. They are very efficient and are really helpful. Nothing is any trouble for them. Great team. Thanks for the help over the years.

Hats off to the Neighbourhood team for Grangewood. Reported that a bird had flew into an abandoned flat and was in distress as it couldn't get back out. Bit of red tape to get through but entry successfully attained and the bird was freed without injury. Took a couple of days but a happy ending!

I needed to have removed an old 3 seater sofa. Looked on line to see who I contacted to have this happen. Saw that I had to telephone and speak to arrange this. It could not hve been easier, the young lady was helpful and its all arrange to be collected in 5 working days for £15. Being disabled and a pensioner being able to access this kind of help at a reasonable cost and safely is great.

Not prepared to take ownership of any issue regarding waste/ recycling. Clearly just pay lip service as and when it suits them.

I use to live here years ago as a child my family loved it we use to live on bacon's Lane birdshome my mother sadly died and I came back home where I love ❤ Chesterfield every thing about it the council are great and very helpful and if you have any problems they are always happy to help you the staff are polite also very understanding thank you 😊 to all of your staff and thanks for your support

It's impossible to contact the council my black box from the bin has disappeared can't get through and can't find were to email the appropriate department. The phone is just ignored what are we paying tax for

absolutely disgraceful!...I hit a pot hole on the 21st December causing a punctured wheel..the hole had obviously been there along time. I went through their resolver app to claim compensation. this app is a farce. now their saying I can't claim because the hole had been reported on the 19th!..what has that got to do with me hitting the hole..there was no cones..indications or warnings the hole was there..ABSOLUTELY FUMING!
