Wonderful dining experience! Very quaint and cozy inside, and not too loud. We got the Gnocchi Truffles, which were to die for! The portions are huge for the entrees so we took home left overs. Our server’s name was Patrick and he was great and made the experience fun. The Tiramisu was AMAZING!!! Very friendly staff and have nothing but great things to say. Dan was very nice and you could tell the staff cared about your experience! We will be bringing our friends back with us!

A super cute Italian restaurant in an unlikely neighborhood. Stopped by here on the strong recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. Good cuts of fish (I had swordfish), and delicious cheeses and such as appetizers. Perfect for a date, it's a kind of restaurant that is the antidote to the now common large warehouse style restaurants.

This is a superb restaurant. I would describe it as high end but unpretentious and friendly with a cozy atmosphere. The food is always great and the servers are extremely professional. Highly recommended.

I've eaten here three times. I really want to like this place more than I do. The service and atmosphere are very good. The food is not great. It just doesn't taste like there is much talent in the kitchen. Plus the portions of food served are quite small - think tiny British portions. You are paying for service and ambiance. They cater to a regular crowd in their 60's and 70's.

Went to Nonna Maria's for a business meeting last night for dinner. The owner Dan and his staff were absolutely amazing. The restaurant is very clean, nice and was a great setting for our meeting. Not only was it a beautiful restaurant and great staff the food is absolutely phenomenal! I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been going there since John reopened it. It is the most incredible event for dinner. The service the staff provides is unparalleled. The dinners are exactly what your taste buds desire. The quaint atmosphere just draws you in. I hope you too will enjoy Nonna's as much as we do!

Finally made it to Nonna Maria's. Went for my birthday. Had high expectations from people we know that have been and current reviews. It did not disappoint. Definitely might be Italian restaurant in Metro Detroit. Food was phenomenal. The service was on point which is extremely important as I always say poor service can ruin a five-star meal. This place has been a mainstay for quite some time and if you haven't been I highly recommend.

Amazing and unique environment. Feels like home in there. Service is spectacular. Food is absolutely made with high end ingredients and cooked to perfection. No overcooked rubbery seafood or dried out chicken or veal here. Everything was tender and perfect. Dessert was incredible as well. I couldn’t ask for anything else in terms of a dining experience. Make sure to make a reservation. The only regret I have is not trying this place out sooner!

We all had a piccata of some variety. I had veal and lobster. I found the food to be good but not great. The lemon in the sauce was overpowering. My opinion is… for the money there are better authentic Italian restaurants.

Yesterday was our first experience at Nonna Maria’s. My husband and I were out on a much-needed post-SIP date night..we’d driven by many times and had been meaning to go. The food was amazing. The menu makes it had to choose what to order, everything sounds delicious. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We had a great time celabrating our anniversary. Patrick was very attentive and entertaining. It's been several years since we were there, and enjoyed ourselves as if we come there often. The food is as good as it's always been. Highly recommend you make a reservation.

Went for the veal mare )my favorite and cannot find anyone doing that sauce), The sauce was amazing but the veal was heavily coated, very small filets and not pounded. They used to sell with shrimp on top we had to pay and have it put on. So the sauce was worth the drive but we were very disappointed in the veal preparation .

Great local Italian spot. Food and service have always been satisfactory. I would say if you are doing take out, check your order before you leave. The truffle gnocchi is an absolute must try. The little Italy salad and penne from heaven are also great.

Hidden gem. One of my all time favorite restaurants. The Wagyu New York Strip is awesome.

Small, intimate space with delicious food. I'm not a huge fan of Italian yet this place has my respect. You can't go wrong here.

Wonderful dining experience! The Roma salad set us up for a wonderful dinner. My veal lobster piccatta was awesome! Thank you Dan and your staff for a great evening.. We will be back.

They have done a marvelous job of updating the interior. The bar is reminiscent of a small neighborhood bar and is cozy and comfortable. The food was good, but inconsistent by dish. We assume this will be will improve as they work through capacity planning and menu choices. We are hopeful this will be a recurring dining spot.

Don't sleep on this gem of a restaurant. You feel like family the moment you step through the door, and watching others come in, I'm pretty sure it was 95 % repeat customers that the owner and servers know by name, which is telling in and of itself. The menu hits all the right dishes and everyone in our party loved their meals. I had the Walleye and it was excellent. Ambiance is charming - a small, intimate dining area. Service was 6 out of 5 stars. Will be back!

Wow….this is the best authentic Italian restaurant in the area. Highly recommended. The staff acts as one and is truly a team and family. Our waiter was Cody, and his attention to detail was impeccable. Call ahead for reservations as this is truly a highly sought after restaurant. All homemade food, not the microwave stuff others serve.
