Very fun, worth the low cost entry fee. The tour was into the mountain on a train you straddle. Be prepared to be in very close proximity to strangers for about an hour. We wore N95 masks but it seemed optional and only one other couple had theirs. If you can get over that the tour was awesome. The guide was a miner at that mill so it was like stories from grandpa. He kept it clean and g rated, but entertaining. We will never forget our trip and will recommend to others. Just protect yourself and mask up. It's owned by the city and entry was 14 pp. Totally worth that.

The tour was so fun! Nice and cool underground! We didn't realize it would be on a train with hard hats and flashlights...so awesome! Our guide was knowledgeable, personable and excellent in all ways. The only downside was waiting for the tour to start... it got pretty warm, crowded & a bit chaotic. Some airflow or fans would have made it perfect! Would definitely do this again & recommend to anyone who likes history & doing fun things!!

We were passing through and a friend suggested we take this tour so we decided to. You can pay at the desk for the next available tour, but we opted to book online to see what available times were for the day. Very easy to book. You must show up 30 minutes prior to the tour time to check in. They will give you a safety vest, hard hat and miners lamp to use while you are in the mine. Then you proceed to the train where you get on and straddle a seat for the ride. The tour takes you about 1800 feet into the mine with two stops along the way. The first stop has about 36 stairs into a big room and the second stop is flat. Learning about the history of Queen's Mine was fascinating and well worth every penny spent. Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. He really made the tour that much more enjoyable. Overall, we would highly recommend taking this tour. There is a gift shop as well as a small museum in the back for you to enjoy. Public restrooms are on site. Well worth the trip to go see!

What a wonderful way to see a part of history generations later. I've done this tour a couple of times throughout my years but wanted to share this experience with my son, so here was trip #3 and even though I've been before, I continued to learn so much more. Our tour guide was absolutely a treat, he had so many more details, facts and yet kept it interesting and funny with some really cute jokes. I believe he stated that he once was a miner himself. My 8 year old loves collecting rocks and this just blew him away as well as the extensive amount of rocks, crystals, minerals that are available at the gift shop. You get to wear a vest, a hard hat and a miners light while riding in on a little train like vehicle which is for safety but also really fun for kids to dress up and ride on.

Really good. Our tour guide actually worked in this mine in the 70's and is quite knowledgeable with great stories. Come 30 minutes early. You ride a little tram through the mine and get off a few times.

Been to 2 of the cave tours in the area, and this tour was by far the best tour! Our guide was amazing and actually worked in the mines when he was younger, so had first-hand knowledge and stories to share. You get a light, reflective vest, hard hat and miner tag. The mine train was fun to ride and the tour went at a great pace. I only wish the tour was longer cause I know our guide had even more interesting stories and information that he could have shared. Highly recommend!

A great experience to learn more about the area and how tough it was mining. A very interesting tour led by a great guide (Steve - ably partnered by Dave!) and just the right amount of time spent exploring underground. Fun for the whole family. Reasonably priced.

Really interesting tour and I felt safe. You do go in the mine by rail car 1500 ft so they stop the car at 150 ft. To see if anyone wants to turn back, after that point it's no turning back. This is a great tour underground into the world of old time mining. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun and it was all about safety first! This is one of the best tours of a mine I've ever been on. Go for it you will be glad you did.

Absolutely stunning experience! Would go back for a second tour. The interaction (mine rail ride with hard hats and lights, light walk and climb, make this a memorable visit). Our guide was knowledgeable. I'd recommend going to the $10 museum in town for an hour before the mine ride/visit time. Make sure to show 15 or 30 minutes before departure time.

Really enjoyed this mine tour and recommend anyone doing it while in the area. Our guide was terrific with lots of knowledge and local stories. Riding the rail into the mine was fun. There are stairs to climb within the mine so be aware of that. Take your jacket with you, it's cool in there. The tour was about an hour long. Make sure this is added to your Bisbee itinerary.

We took the Queen Mine Tour on 11/30/2021 which lasted 1 hour. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide was Great. He also answered all questions. The tour tickets were reasonable.

Really fun tour and very educational. We got lucky and booked the last tour of the day a few hours beforehand and then it sold out. I’d recommend getting tickets in advance, but you could try your luck like we did. They give you an option to get off the ride as soon as you enter the mine in case anyone decides they don’t want to go inside. The guides all seemed very knowledgeable. Josh was our guide and he made the whole experience really fun with a lot of laughs. It was cute to see that kids were given the opportunity to participate and ask questions. Definitely planning on going back in the future!

An hour tour of a copper mine. Part of the fun was riding the little train into the mine tunnel. The guide tells all about the history of the mine. There is a rather large flight of stairs up to one of the areas but one may remain on the train instead. Be advised toddlers may think it a little scary or boring. Also it is quite cooler temperature in the mine than outside. I found it refreshing. I had a great time and thought it well worth 14 dollar admission. There is a nice gift shop with lots of mineral samples and mine tour related displays.

We had a great time during the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable (actually worked in the mine) and friendly as is everyone there. The mine tour itself is awesome as you get to 1500 feet under the mountain and you even get to get off of the mine train to view a couple of sections of the mine. They have a great gift shop as well.

this place is awesome! i have grown up visiting commercial and wild caves but have never visited a mine before! the tour was so fun and riding the mine cart through the mine was so exciting! the tour guide was incredible, he told us so many cool things about the mine and his time as a miner there! i visited solo, but will definitely be back in the future with my family! i thought this was such an interesting piece of history, to be able to see it in this way!

We had such a wonderful and fun family time taking this tour. The guide was so entertaining and we really learned a lot about the history and experience of mining there. We would highly recommend it for families with kids.

Seriously, the coolest tour ever! Riding a train into the mine with a vest, hard hat, and light...ready for adventure. Stepping into the past with an incredible Tour Guide (Don) we got a true taste of history from someone who knows first hand what it was like to work in the mines day and night. The dangers, the fears, the pay, and the hilarious initiations were all covered in a highly entertaining way. Would absolutely do this again! Also...the coveted copper and crstals in the gift shop are a lot more affordable than they are in Bisbee's boutique shops!

What a fabulous experience with Benny as our guide. Such history to share, especially since Benny WAS a miner there! Such a unique experience for all ages. We had kids, big kids and people who remember being kids! Thank you for a great time!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! A fantastic crew who is not only professional but friendly and makes the tour fun and enjoyable. We keep coming back and bringing friends and family to share the experience which they are thrilled they came. A true highlight and very awesome gift shop and selection of gems n rocks for rock hounds. Luv it there. Thank you Doug for splitting our beautiful geode so perfectly. We came at halloween and again on Christmas Eve day. Affordable entertainment lasting an hour plus or minus.

The 9:00 am tour this morning with Bennie was fantastic. He combined personal history, regional and site specific history, factual data, and humor with perfect pacing and panache. I’m so happy to have this experience in my memory bank. The gift shop is also stupendous with its helpful, fun and knowledgeable staff. I found affordable and unique gifts for my family.

Great experience and well worth the drive! Did a great job of detailing the history of mining both generally as well as specifically in the region and in the mine itself. Our 6 year old son and 78 year old dad both loved it so it's great for many age ranges. Great to visit year round as the temperature underground is chilly but not uncomfortable.

What a cool and unique experience! Learning the work life of the copper miners was very interesting. Riding into the mountain was fun! The tour guide was a former miner and did a great job explaining the process. I highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely adorable! It was great to tour. We rode the train in, got out at a few points to see different sections then rode out. It was about an hour long and very interesting! They had a great gift shop as well with different minerals and gems.

This is a great experience! Take your family and enjoy listening to the tour guide talk about his experience working in the mine years and years ago (if you get the same tour guide). You ride a mine cart 1,500 feet inside, get off twice and walk to learn about mining, dynamite, etc. The tour guide is funny and very knowledgeable. The gift shop is very reasonably priced and has some unique jewelry and rocks/minerals. When you buy tickets online, it includes tax so you know up front what the total will be.

It is worth a drive to Bisbee for this tour alone, but the whole town is awesome. The tour guides are actual miners, with interesting anecdotes about actual mining life. You receive a hard hat and light, and ride a trolley into a mine tunnel. The guide stops every now and then to demonstrate some of the equipment or explain structures. The gift shop has a large selection of mineral specimens and other items for purchase. It is a fascinating experience. While you're here, be sure to walk through the streets of Bisbee and visit the unique shops and restaurants. We spent a couple of very enjoyable days here, while staying at the Queen Mine RV park, which is within walking distance of the tour and town.

Was an excellent tour. Well worth the $. Tour guides were retired miners which made explanations better in my mind. This is a tour that you should not miss.

Such a great tour. Loved going underground and learning about the construction of the mine and the methods used to extract the minerals depending on the time period. Our tour guide, Benny, worked in the mine for many years and this made the tour extra special. He was informative, funny, and really knew his stuff. We were given a hard hat, a safety vest and a light before entering the mine. The personnel were efficient and friendly and I really enjoyed being able to buy some beautiful rocks and minerals from their extensive collection. The gift shop was great.

We had a blast at the Queen Mine Tour. Everyone there was nice. The tour was not only informative, but also fun. There a is a video you can watch as well. The gift shop is amazing, I have spent 2 weeks looking for the perfect gift for my kids. I finally found it there, they love gemstones and geodes. We would definitely come back again if in the area.

This was one of the coolest tourist things I’ve ever done and is absolutely worth the $15 bucks. It was so interesting and educational. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and fun. And the gift shop has a ton of reasonably priced stones and souvenirs!
