Do not waste your time. The VA has become such a joke with absolutely no help. Call to see if I can get a primary care doctor in the community and told that I have to go through my primary care doctor at the VA to get a referral. This place makes everything more difficult and horrible that it literally gives me a mental break down anytime I have to deal with them. Doctors are constantly leaving and switching teams. Referrals are pointless as those receiving the referral can change referral. Try to get community care and you can't without jumping through hoops. Medicine is never refilled correctly and having to call all the time when I just had an appointment is mind boggling. I hate that I have spent years trying to facilitate my health here, when I should have just found a doctor in the community.

Arrived earlier today at the walk in clinic to be seen… Took the whole day off work.. Wasn’t able to be seen in the morning so I made an “appointment” for 1500… arrived at 1435 expecting to be seen for my appointment… Sat there till 1530 with no communications from anyone… Attempted to speak to the patient advocate and explain my situation… I was told that it’s a “walk in clinic” and patients are seen first come first served… I calmly asked, WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?? It isn’t an EMERGENCY ROOM… . Terrible experience today… If the patients before me were appointments as well, then the VA was GROSSLY behind…. regardless of your staffing issues We need change for all of us, this is unacceptable.. Whole day was wasted and a whole days worth of work was lost… Thank you Kernersville VA for meeting every expectation I’ve ever had of you… NOTHING… You wonder why no one wants your help… I wonder how many veterans die due Your blatant negligence?? Sincerely, SGT. PLITT, Ernest “Retired”

My dad was a veteran who went there. They killed him by not doing there job. He kept going there not feeling well to finally having a major stroke. They did some kind of sorry blood work saying nothing was wrong with him. When indeed he had a blood infection that caused him to have an aneurysm. They wouldn't do a ct scan which his aneurysm burst. He died please of you love your love one do not let them come here.!!!!!!!!

If you ever have to go to a VA hospital, this is the best one to come to. From the shuttle driver, the greeters, the ladies and gentlemen at the desk and all over the facility are so kind and helpful. Facility is clean and big, more than enough parking, easy to find, staff is so professional. Absolutely the best. Thank you for making every visit wonderful and for all you do for the vets.

Used to be really good, but since 2020 they do everything NOT to see people and blame everyone else. If you go here, bring a copy of your legal rights. You will need them to make anything happen.

Good luck trying to get a prescription filled at the pharmacy. After 2 hours of waiting for my prescription to be filled I left. They had people waiting there for five and a half hours and still the prescription was not filled. The medical facility itself is not that bad with the doctors and nurses. The pharmacy is hot garbage. There is no prescription that takes that long to fill, no matter how busy you are no matter how big the prescription is. And then at 4:30 they just shut down with all the prescriptions that haven't been filled and people waiting there for hours and hours told to go home and come back tomorrow or their stuff would be mailed to them. It's a pretty sad excuse for a pharmacy.

I know the VA catches a lot of flak from the Veteran community, and a lot of it is rightfully deserved. From my experience with multiple hospitals over the last 12 years however, this location has helped me the most. They have been responsive, proactive which in and of its self is awesome because we all know how rare that is, and I have yet to have a bad experience here. Primary care is more involved and I hear from them more than I have before. Going on 3 years now and I can refer this hospital to any Veteran. Thank you for your service fellow Veterans.

I have found the providers and care here to be very good, however with the stipulation that you may have to wait 6 months or more for an appointment that in the civilian world would take 2 weeks. You may also have to wait an additional 3 months if you have something come up that causes you to reschedule your appointment.

Uloko became my new provider and wanted to make me jump through hoops for my medication I’ve been taking for 5 years. I found this clinic to be very unreliable and I highly recommend you find a place that actually cares for its veterans cause I don’t believe it’s here. I believe this place probably contributes to the statistic of why veterans take their own lives instead of helping them.

Dr Tan is one of the best doctors I have every been seen by. He took time to get to know me. I felt like I mattered to him and was not just another patient. He took the time to ensure that both my wife and myself were educated on exactly what the issue was and the next steps to take. He further called me personally to discuss test results. I wish we had more doctors like him.

They are basically trying to kill patients off at this point. If you care about your loved ones at all please, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!! The communication is poor. The bedside attendance poor. They do not care about patients and will half work to resolve medical issues. You will have to harass them to get basic things done, PLEASE GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!

Get this, on the CONFIRMATION PHONE CALL, you have to press 1 to CONFIRM your appointment. If you CONFIRM your appointment in this fashion, it will CANCEL your appointment, and you will be given ZERO NOTICE that you CANCELED the appointment on the CONFIRMATION phone call until 30 MINUTES before your appointment.

Effectively useless. I've spent the last year trying to get a primary and basic referrals. They constantly move providers around and make it impossible to see the same person twice, since appointments are always 3+ months apart. They constantly lose referrals and records. Even if you call with an emergency, they will tell you to drive to Salisbury, or they can see you in a couple months. I've even had the staff laugh at me on the phone when I said "it's going to be months before you can see me, isn't it?" They act like they're always booked, but most of the time, the place is empty and half the staff is away from their desk or playing on their phone. They often act openly annoyed if they're forced to help someone.

This is my VA story. I seldom hear similar experiences from other vets. I've been with VA Healthcare more than 10 years. My personal experience rates VA higher than the big name health plans from my several employers. On a percentage basis, I have far more compliments and far fewer complaints with my VA healthcare. And the VA Health Care Center in Kernersville, North Carolina is one of the highlights. It is relatively new, well staffed, well trained, and well equipped. I fully trust the healthcare that I receive in VA medical facilities.

I carried my wife’s Uncle by Veterans Clinic today and was very impressed with the buildings set up and with the creating at the door. Two Vets met us as we drove up. They assessed my wife’s uncle who is 98 years old, and show him patients and respect! From the time we entered to the time we left it was this way. I was very impressed! Thank you!

It is impossible to get scheduled for an appointment. I have been trying to schedule my first appointment for the past four days and the calls get transferred to W.G. Hefner Salisbury medical center, get ignored or get hung up before anyone speaks to you.

I went to see a dentist at the V.A. and they turned me away. I served over 20 years in the Navey and they refuse to even offer me any type of help.I have been in pain for over 2 weeks and I was promised 100 percent dental and eye care. They have not even tried to assist me with this health crisis. I feel like they pick and choose who can see the dentist. I served my country proudly and I can't even get the help and service that I so badly need and deserve. No sleep and no rest because they refuse to help me.

Anyone looking to be admitted into the Hud Vash program, receive your Section 8 voucher, and move forward with efforts of receiving housing should be advised. This facility is the worse! The case workers are horrible and after a minute, I decided to rip up the voucher and move forward with finding housing myself. I currently stay in an Airbnb and will be moving into my 2 bedroom in June. The VA hospital in Kernersville should be ashamed. I met good people here but the majority don't care anything about you. I have learned in life to not trust anyone and always rely on yourself because people swear they care about you but always show themselves to be totally different. Allah sees all and will seek vengeance in all that’s unholy.

I just left from transferring my care from another local facility. To be honest, I had been dreading this because I just knew it was going to be a pain. Until I met Miss Rhonda in Eligibility. She was SO nice and patiently answered all of my questions. I just wanted to be sure to leave a review so others knew how amazing and friendly the team in Eligibility was. Thank you Miss Rhonda, you're the best! :)

Mental Health doctors are going to get someone killed with their reckless medication protocols. These people need to be held accountable.

I have received excellent care at the Kernersville VA. From messaging my primary care physician to dental care and specialty clinics, I have always received timely responses.

Dr Turner is my primary Care doctor. I have had health problems. I transferred from another VAMC clinic. At the previous location I was told that "I am not allowed to see the doctor". Here I am very happy with the care I received

The staff is always friendly and respectful. I just wish they could keep the same staff members or primary care physicians. I have had several appointments rescheduled, I understand not the fault of VA , but none the less I really like this VA clinic everyone is super nice and friendly.

Worse VA ever! Walk in clinic is the best joke ever. Do not go here! Better off going to a regular hospital for urgent care.

Thank you for taking such good care of my father in law, G. Kerns, USAF/ARMY Veteran. The Dialysis center and VA staff have been so wonderful to Gene for so many years. Mimi, Dominique, Sha'neeka and several of the medical staff came to visit him in his last days and to his memorial. Thank you for giving us 5 extra years we would have missed with Gene without your intervention. Bless you one and all.
