Such a fun place, my 7 year old has deemed it the "board game library". The food was good, nice portions. The service was excellent, very friendly. All around, great place for a fun afternoon. Update: In answer to your question, as I couldn't post a reply, yes, you are welcome to use the photos on social media. Can't wait to visit again!

This place was amazing! I didn’t know anything about it so I wasn’t there to play games but they had so many and all of the people were really nice. The food was genuinely good and an expensive. Absolutely will come back here! Plus the waitress remembered my name and used it in every conversation we had! She was fantastic :)

Took the family (kid's ages 6 and 4) here to play games and eat lunch. We played Sugar Blast, Hoot Hoot Owl, and Trouble. We all had a good time. I had the Super Mario sandwich and mac and cheese, which was really good.

This is a really cool gamers cafe right next to "limited run" games. The staff are super friendly, And seem to love it here. The food selection is interesting, and affordable. The environment is kid friendly.

What a great gem ya’ll have in Raleigh! I highly recommend this spot for meeting up with a few friends for games-plus. I brought a new colleague who is unfamiliar with modern board games and this was the best experience I could have hoped for. Service: very friendly and helpful. They will let you do your own thing until you come up to the bar and ask for help or to order. Food: Good selection, well prepared, good price. I would rathe come here for a bite than any other chain or similar mainstream restaurant. Game space: large, study, and beautiful tables well-spaced to give you room to walk around. On this Friday night it was busy and very lively. My colleague and I offered to share our table with a couple that came it. Enough space for two two-player games and food. Game Library: I believe it is available on their website. Very nice selection of games. We had plenty for my colleague to learn in and several others I’ve been looking to play. Social: I saw a MTG event going on. I did not see anything on their website about other open table social events to join pickup games or the like. But, if you have someone to go with, or even a small group this place is great.

My husband and I are board game cafe buffs, and this place has cracked the code!! Good food and snacks that are affordable, a nice drink selection, plenty of seating, and extremely friendly staff. We especially love the monthly membership option! Hands down the best spot we've been to. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fun!

It's not gourmet but the Italian sandwich was actually pretty darn good. Kimchi green beans were interesting. Great selection of games, friendly staff! We really enjoyed playing Caper Europe.

The Gamers Geekery and Tavern in Cary, NC is an AWESOME place to spend time playing a wide variety of games (pull out a classic, try something new).. oh and also you can eat and drink while you're there (bonus!!) 🥹🥹🥹 What better combo can you have?? We LOVE games but find that we spend the money to buy them and never find the time to play.. this place allows you to make an event out of it WHILE still being able to try new games! We loved it and will be regulars for sure (especially as our boys get old enough to play as well!!)!! Huge thanks to Lance for making the reservation process easy, and to all of the staff for their help and attentiveness!

Beer and games! This is a fun place, fantastic beers, ciders and even mead to choose from. We also got some snacks, food was pretty good but definitely more snack options than meals. They do MTG nights as well as D&D, even if you dont play, very fun to see. Great place to make friends, the bartender Alison was fun to talk to as was everyone at the bar :)

A board game cafe that is a bar instead of a cafe! Really fun premise and really well executed as well. A ton of board games to choose from, plus a nice beer selection and a decent selection of bar food. Spent a really fun 4 hours here with my girlfriend eating dinner and playing board games, would definitely come again.

This was a fun place to spend and evening. The food was decent and they have tons of games to choose from. It makes more sense with a larger group since you pay a table fee, but we will be back. The staff were very kind and the place was well kept

Went here because I was told it was very similar to a favorite board game cafe from back where I came from, but it turned out to be way better! The food was prepped well and quickly. The board games on the walls were actually organized by type and had labels indicating the amount of players who could play a game. That comes in real handy when it's a two-player game you need. The people were excellent as well! Plenty to write home about.

Nothing but positive experience at Gamers Geekery. Large format tables, sized appropriately for us to play commander. Great beer selection and every meal our party has ordered has been delicious. We will be coming back every week for the relaxed atmosphere and accommodating owner. Haven’t made use of the expansive tabletop game library but plan to do so in the future!

We took our kids for a Pokémon thing on Sunday and had a lot of fun. Everyone was super friendly! The co-owner was running the Pokémon thing and he was really nice. It was my daughter's first time going and she had so much fun. We sat and played games and ate some food and it was fun. I've been wanting to check this place out and I'm glad we finally did. They don't have a lot of food but what they do have isn't bad. The pretzel bites were good and we had nachos that weren't bad. I will definitely be coming back more often.

Great place to go for beer and board games. There is a $10 cover charge (2021) to use their board game library but it can be split between the group. Also, if you don't have friends and am an introvert that doesn't have friends you can come on a Friday evening for a meetup group and possibly make friends! The cover charge then will be $2.50 (2021)! There is a bar that serves various beer. Dont overlook the $12 cider bottle. 500ml can last you the entire evening so it could be worth getting that instead of several cans of beer.

We had my brother's bachelor party here and I'm thrilled with how it went! We reserved the private room which is beautifully painted and is equipped with plenty of extra dice, 5e books and anything else you'd need for a ttrpg. The food was great and the drink selection was awesome—some of the guys don't drink but they didn't feel the least bit left out! All the servers were incredibly kind and attentive and made everyone feel welcome. Some gaming spaces can feel gatekeepy, but not Gamers Geekery & Tavern! 10/10

Had my first visit Gamers Geekery & Tavern last night with the boy. The dogs were solid and we won the Stranger Things trivia. Tons of games and fun stuff to do there. We will certainly be back.
