1. The windows are dirty and LOCKED- I asked a few times to open them as I can not sleep without fresh air- NO was the constant reply. 2. The hotel refuses to provide an iron , on the other hand it charges high price for ironing - you either provide the iron or you provide free service ! 3. The bathroom sink was blocked - took me 3 days to get someone to unblock it. 4. They provide a coffee machine - on your first day you have full selection of capsules , the selection diminishes as you progress staying there - the price of the room remains as if you still have FULL selection - same goes for soap etc... 5. My partner checked in on Nov 13 up to 18 ( room 429 ) . On the 16th they locked her out of her room and refused to provide her with a key unless she packs and leaves - the person in the reception was very rude !!! Only after a noisy scandal with the Managing Director they enabled her to return to her room !!! 7. In the restaurant they have 1-2 salt kits for the whole restaurant instead of having it ON EACH table This is a hotel that reflects big investments in high standards but has NO skilled management and personnel - there is NO customer oriented service neither in the reception nor the cleaners guidelines !!!!!!!!!! A REAL PITY !!!!

Perfect 10 days in Bissau thanks to the wonderful service by the team at Ceiba! This hotel could easily be in the USA, Europe or any major capital in Africa. Of course- the people of Guinea-Bissau are amazing and their kindness and care make this place extra special. You will not be disappointed! 💯🏆

The hotel is ok. The rooms and the beds are small for a 5* hotel. The food served at the restaurant is also below average. The main issue is that I contacted the hotel to pay them directly and they sent me a quote for 3 nights. After checking out they added 10% tax on the 3 nights which was not made clear during the email correspondence. It would have been cheaper in the end for me to book through Expedia or Hotels so that’s something to look out tor when comparing to pay for the room directly with the hotel or through a third party app.

The Ceiba Hotel is Guinea-Bissau’s most elegant hotel in Bissau. The luxurious open lobby offers several seating areas and impeccable African art through the lobby and near conference rooms. On 2 different occasions on our tour, we stayed here and appreciated personal attentive service. Spacious guest Rooms have comfortable beds and several pillows. Water , refrigerator, and coffee and tea maker are in the room . The walk in shower is great and several toiletries including shave kit and dental kit are available. Be sure to enjoy pool area withl covered lounges in a beautiful setting and lots of outdoor seating, some under roof, some in the sun. Fitness room open 7am -10pm. From 830am -10pm, The Corisco Cafe offers breakfast items, pastries, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, tapas, and a great tex Mex sausage dog with indoor seating or outdoor near the pool. Breakfast buffet includes a huge array of fruits, juices, pastries, proteins, yogurts, cereals, eggs, bacon, and more. Accessibility accessible restrooms in lobby ond on two places on each floor with moveable hand rails on the toilet, a 5foot x 5 foot access space. Accessible entry to hotel with automatic door and access to elevators and rooms. If you don’t stay here, make an effort to Corisco Cafe and stroll round the lobby and first floor to appreciate the African art, jewelry, and sculptures.
