To start with the negatives. The animals in the zoo generally looked like they were in a terrible state. The whole park seemed very shabby. Lots of areas which desperately needed a lick of paint or a good scrub. And the toilets were not at all clean. It just felt like a business that was down on its luck and very tired. So now the positives. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The app was very good. And we enjoyed the rides and even without paying for Reserve and Ride the queues were doable. Overall I'm not sure I would recommend this place. Cleanliness and maintenance have to be the number one priority for a family oriented venue and I just feel Chessington is seriously missing the mark on both.

Overall we had a lovely visit. I'd highly recommend the app to use as a map plus to view the ride height restrictions and queue times. We used this the whole time! Lots of places to eat and enough attractions to fill your day. Parts of the park could do with some sprucing up. We noticed some ride props not working and some areas quite grubby or overgrown with weeds. We're regular visitors to another theme park which we found much better kept than Chessington. We stayed on site in the hotel (highly recommended) and it came with early access to the park. Early access only grants you access to a few rides and none of the photobooths or shops are actually open which was disappointing. I wouldn't rush back to Chessington but I'm glad we ticked it off the list. We had a fun two days with our 5yr old.

A fun and entertaining theme park which includes a zoo. We took two kids, both under 5 and it was a full day spent with activities for all of us to enjoy. The waiting times for quite a few rides can extend to over 30 minutes so it might be worthwhile to consider the fast track options. Parking is plenty but it does cost around £4. There are good options for food and they are spread around the park.

We really enjoyed our time here. There was a variety of rides for all ages and other entertainment like the sealife centre, the shows and animals. There are always massive queues for the big rides in places like this, be prepared. The food is well questionable though, give that a miss

Words can't describe it!!!! It was , to put it simply, an amazing weekend. So beautiful indeed. Lots of crazy rides. Some regular ones. Enough fun to go round the whole family!!!! It was worth every single penny. The hotel was simply amazing! Breakfast was great and yummy! We all had our fill. The staff were extremely polite. My son had a birthday cake and balloons waiting for us in our room as we visited on his birthday. The pool was absolutely warm and beautiful to swim in, the sauna and the steam room were an added plus! It was an amazing weekend I say. Worth it! The only downside was that on Saturday of Easter there were long queues. We had to queue for up to an hour to get on the rides!!!!!! Overall? It was an amazing experience. I simply can't wait to go back. And if you do, make sure you get on the Vampire and Cobra rides. The kids absolutely loved the grufalo boat ride!

The theme park itself was OK, very busy queues were there all day and got to go on 4 rides. Not fun with 6,7&8 year olds. We stayed overnight and for the price we were really let down even though we booked in advance and for the price. We got a totally different experience from our family that booked a week after us. The room didn't lock. The beds were uncomfortably hard. No views as promised in description. Upon check in we were not told about evening entertainment or being able to see the zoo after dinner. Those were just a few. We had a better day on on Thursday in the park, being able to go in an hour earlier was a huge benefit. I guess, we would go again for the day when it's not too busy but I wouldn't rush back. I think they packed a lot in in to small spaces such as the kids water ride which allows only one child and adult in and the queues are unbearable. A lot of rides were closed too again such a let down.

Recommended to all. One of the place to visit with children. Activities for all ages. There are lots to see and experience. It was an wonderful visit. Opens at 10am every day. But please check their website for latest opening times. We spent full day but wasn't enough due to lot of waiting in the queue. Please make sure if you have little children in your party then they are at least 1.2 meter tall which is a minimum requirement for all most all rides. Ticket price is nearly £33 for children but if they are under 1.2 meter tall then not worth to visit due to they won't get in to any of the rides. I must say that the park is huge. Parking is £4 per day per car. All disabled facilities and separate entry for almost all rides. If you are visiting this place then start your day from opening time. Plenty of hot foods and beverages also available.

We went on the last day of the season, it was a little rundown and only a third of the rides were working. This could be due to COVID or just being the end of the season. You can see that all the staff just wanted to get to the end of the day... The family had been many times and I would not recommend going at the end of the season. I really enjoyed it every other time and the kids normally are running between each ride. This time they were just walking... most of the fun rides were closed so the kids were not as exited this time as they normally were. We were able to see most of the animals and also stayed around for most of the talks on the sea lions and the lions. The lion talk the speaker was broken so we were not able to hear any of the lectures. Very disappointed.

A nice day out, but be mindful and ready to be patient of your visiting in the school holidays. The waiting times are wrong and you’ll be waiting over an hour for each ride. There’s plenty of restaurants for meals that start at £12 for each standard meal, toilets scattered and picnic areas . Everything is signposted, but you can still get lost. The rides are hosted by very young people, who are subjected to rudeness by parents trying to push in. In general, the zoo area doesn’t have many staff wondering at all to answer your questions. I saw just one. The animals looked well catered for - giraffes have plenty of space . I did question the lack of space in the lion, sea lions, and gorilla enclosure, but I’m assuming there’s a reason for this. The sea lions were restricted in the small area to swim in, so they went in circles - not nice to view. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance as they are much cheaper. I’d return, but not in the holidays. I paid for close tarmac parking, but it was full. Great atmosphere for families and animal enthusiast. The place is general is clean.

Stayed here from Monday and Tuesday, staying over the Monday night at the Safari Hotel. We really enjoyed the park, youngest was 1.1m oldest 1.2m so a few rides we had to separate for a few. Easier 1:1 child to adult ratio for under 7s I'd say. Hotel room was perfect and it was amazing staying next to the safari park. Buffet dinner and breakfast at the Azeteca Hotel was mayhem but really good quality. Perfect for the kids. Loved the 9am entry to the park although I'd flag not that many rides were open. Overall a great 2 days with a 4 and 6 year old.

When you think about how much a ticket costs, it's fantastic value for money. Staff are very helpful, food is great. Yes there are queues but what do you expect. Still a great day out with SO much to do there. The zoo is huge too. Prepare for a long day, the resort is massive with so much to see!

It was a good family day out. The kids loved it. A bit disappointed that we didn't see so many animals as they said... Overall it was a great day. Lots of rides, you can have your packed lunch from home while you see the show or you can have pizza, coffee, ice cream from the shops & restaurants there... Make sure you bring your rain coats or spare clothing for the water rides.

Loved our stay at the hotel. Atmosphere was great with lots of activities for children. Facilities and standards of the room was top notch. They even left Freddo bars in the kids beds which was a nice touch! We had a great time at the zoo, staff were very informative and friendly. The breakfast was of a high standard and staff were fantastic, couldn't be any more helpful and accommodating. A special shout out to Christina for really looking after us and my 9-month old daughter at the restaurant. We were disappointed with the Sea Life section but I guess we were comparing it to the full-sized one in Blackpool/Birmingham. Overall a great weekend for the family at a very reasonable price. Being off-season we got to spend a lot of time at the parts of the zoo we really enjoyed. We got to experience some great moments with the tigers, lions and the giraffes. Keep up the great work guys!

Absolutely superb visit. Staff on site were very lovely, very helpful and informative - had a great laugh too. Queues were very short, barely any wait time to access rides. Averagely priced for a theme park, fabulously Julia Donaldson themed! Loved the safari, and the aquarium! Plus, a new gorilla baby on the scene?! Super cute 😭

Have not been here since I was a kid. And after such a long time. It was a brilliant day out with lots to do. From rides to zoo to sea life and everyone was entertained. Will def visit again. Was even better the theme park was not crowded at all.

Always a great time at Chessington World of Adventures, something for all ages! Also they have a great choice of restaurants and other places to get food and drinks. We often use the Vampire Burger Kitchen, they have a good selection of burgers and the fries are also very nice too!

Went to the theme park with no great expectations, but I was greatly surprised. While certain rides were out of action, most were running and the atmosphere within the park was fantastic and full of fun. My wife couldn't stop smiling all day. The park was clean and staff were very friendly. The zoo section is also fantastic and I would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic place to visit, took our 4 year old nephew and had a great day. Plenty of rides for all ages, and being able to see all the animals was fantastic, the penguin talk was informative. I'd recommend paying £15 for the refillable drink for the day, especially if it's hot weather.

First time back in 15 years. A lot different to what I remember, now aimed at families instead of groups of older teenagers messing around and jumping queues which is a good thing now. Shame the park is missing some of the good old rides. Bear in mind if you want to view the animals, you would probably need 2 days due to long wait times for the rides and that's using the ride access pass.

A fun theme park for all the family; the new Jumanji area is great- Mandrill Mayhem is an amazing coaster and a fantastic one for those little thrill seekers looking for their first inversion! Recently visited for their Winters Tail event which was nice and festive with plenty to do around the park.

Amazing theme park and zoo. I went there on a Friday and it was very busy. And Mandrill Mayhem broken down 4 times whilst I was in the queue for the ride. Only managed to get on 6 rides in one day. But it is a very good place to go. And the refill drinks are amazing. Lovely place

First visit to Chessington, weather on the damp side, made our way through the zoo areas, really disappointed to see not a single ride was open, areas all fenced off.... stayed about 1.5hrs sadly. Checked website and no disclaimer visible that rides were closed, would have been useful. Will be back though!

Paid £35 for an advanced ticket. Went off peak so didn't have to queue for the rides. Got free chocolate at the pantomime and a reindeer cuddly toy from santa. A good selection of rides. Some of the food was a bit expensive and not that high quality. Some rides were closed but not enough to detract from the day. I would recommend visiting off peak.

Was a non ride day, so only the animals, aquarium, and amazonia play area was open. Was good for a little day out, just a little crowded at times. Be aware on these days Chessington closes quite early, around 3pm.

We had a short break here and had the best time! Food (dinner) not so great in the safari hotel, but we had a brilliant stay and loved using the app to see when the queues were short. We'll definitely go back! My girls are 4 and 6 and could go on everything they wanted to.

Excellent theme park for all ages. The kids will love it. The Jeep Safari ride is a good experience getting close to the animals. The rides are quite similar to other theme parks. The queues were around 30-60 minutes which wasn't too bad. Good picnic areas and car parking is reasonably priced.

I went for a whole day trip (10am till 5pm) with my family and the queue times were not too bad. Lots of people get a ticket that only goes from 2pm to 5pm so it's best if you try and get on all of your favourite/exciting rides before you miss the chance to. They also have a huge variety of food choices all around the park. Also, if you are planning on going on a water ride then don't underestimate how wet it really is.

A perfect day for a visit to CWOA! My Child is 0.8m in height. And they had more than enough rides for him to go on. Added bonus there is a mini Sea-life Aquarium on site. Half the resort was shut, but I was aware and did my research as it is Winter season after all, plus it didnt effect my little ones day. What a day for it with such wonderful weather.

I returned on a Rainy Day Guarantee which is a great incentive that more theme parks should employ. Enjoyed watching the animals just as much as the rides, and with so much to fit in a day your fun is guaranteed. Also liked the free virtual ride aspect for Mandrill Mayhem, to avoid the droll of queuing for 2 hours

Stayed two nights at the Safari Hotel, Only complaint is that the shower pressure is abysmal. But the room was clean and comfortable. The park itself was great. Scattered over the park are booths where you can get unlimited refills of soft drinks and ice, if you buy the cup, only wished water was an option as well. Overall a great time, if you plan and book things in advance.

WOW! What a place! Been here plenty of times over the years but never at Christmas and never with my whole family! Although some of the park is shut for winter maintenance you still have a whole day here. Arrived at 10am left at 6.30pm! Rides, walks, encounters…. And best of all SANTA! The staff were fab as always and real asset to the Merlin Group! The Panto was a winner with the kids and being just 15 mins or so long meant that they were not bored! Carol singers around the Christmas tree adding to the delight. Even the small details as when we arrived I saw an ever so light specks of what was ‘snow’ in the air! I got a bit excited but did check in with a staff member who did say some of the environment may be magic! (Quick check on the weather app and no snow forecast) All the onsite entertainment for the festive period was well worth the money! Most of which was included in the ticket price. Chocolates, biscuits, snacks… all goodies for being on the good list being gifted to you… a meet and greet with the big beardy man himself and a ticket to the toy shop! Take the kids and have an awesome day out at Christmas! (Or any time of year for that matter) 5 out of 5!!!! Pros: food was good in the pizza place! (Even a Christmas dinner pizza with Brussel sprouts! Yes not joking) Toilets always clean Staff able to point you in the best and right direction Not very busy which was surprising Cons: Temp as it all outside wrap up warm Buggy parks were busy so maybe some better planning

Only had the zoo open as off season, but was a lovely day out. Lots of animals to see. Only reason for the lack of fifth star is the food. £60 for all you can eat pizza for family of four was a bit pricey.

This amazing park full of fun and thrill seeking  rides is an excellent experience for young adults, the lay out of the park is really covenant for walking around and for wheel chairs . the rides like kobra and tomb blaster  are amazing for a fast but fun ride the queues where not to long and at the longest where 40 minutes but I think we may have got luck  on the queue times. When we left at 4.30pm some the toilets were shut so try to go when possible

A great place with lots to do for kids and adults, including a zoo, oceanarium and roller coasters, and much more. The biggest disadvantage of this place is the queues which average 45-60 minutes. The solution is to purchase fast track tickets.

Really nice place. Was a return visit. They make the most amazing scrambled egg at breakfast. Unfortunately this time my room was a little warm, it faced the front and was noisy early in the morning and my mattress was not very comfortable, but on a previous stay it was. I did let them know and they apologised. But I cannot complain much as the room was only £48. I doubt I will ever get it that cheap again. The breakfast is an all you can eat cooked and continental breakfast. The first time I stayed I tried the scrambled egg. It's so nice. I had it with toast and orange juice and a couple of extremely tasty sausages. The Zafari Bar & Grill has a wonderful outlook so you can watch zebras, gazelles, giraffes and ostriches whilst you have breakfast. The hotel is kids friendly and as a lone female traveller I felt very safe there. The room was very clean and nicely laid out with chairs, desk, TV and kids bunk beds. The bedding was so beautifully white and crisp. Special shout outs to Betty and Cristina who both were so kind and understanding and made the stay just that bit nicer. It isn't a top class 5* hotel, but it is definitely good value if you can get it for a decent price. Some of the rooms during the summer are over £200 a night. Definitely not worth that much but, find a decent price and it's worth it.

We had such a fantastic day here, we were 6 adults and 2 children (3+5). There is so much to see and do, we were there from open 10am till 6pm. Some of the rides for the younger kids had quite long wait times and we found they were just letting the fast track guests on, I really think they shouldn't have fast track options on the kiddy rides, I get it on the adult ones but even then it could be managed better, alternate the fast track with regular for example. Not all the food stands were open when we went, we had lunch at the chicken place and it was delicious. We were all surprised how tasty it was. The park was clean and well maintained and toilets were all looked after well. Thanks for a great day out.

Best place for day out with kids. It has everything- a zoo with a wide variety of animals, safari, a small aquarium, live events, good food and countless exciting rides. Difficult to cover all in a single day and the biggest challenge is to find the right day to visit as it does get super busy in holiday season and the ride waiting times could be over an hour. But if you could go on a not such busy day, expect to have loads of fun.

I went with the kids and wife for the first time. I have been here before but that was years ago. The rides were super fun and the kids loved them. Ofcourse as the day progressed the wait times on the rides quickly went above 70 to 90 minutes, which is one of the things I hate about theme parks, but didn't want to spend double or triple the amount of fast track options, and it teaches kids about patience. Overall a fun day out and loved it. P.S: you have to pay for parking, which I think is appalling as they already charge you so much, but that's something you should keep in mind.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chessington Adventure Park during my holiday, and it was an experience filled with joy and excitement. The park offers a plethora of attractions that cater to all ages, making it a perfect destination for family outings. The variety of rides and attractions is truly impressive, ranging from thrilling roller coasters to enchanting animal exhibits. Each ride and exhibit is meticulously designed, immersing visitors in a world of adventure and fun. The staff members are friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the animal exhibits. The park houses a diverse range of animals, providing an educational and entertaining experience for children and adults alike. It's not every day you get to see such a wide variety of animals up close! However, the park does have its drawbacks. The most notable one is the long waiting times for rides. During peak hours, the queues can be quite lengthy, which can be frustrating for visitors eager to experience the attractions. I would recommend opting for a Fast Track pass if possible, as this significantly reduces waiting times. Despite this minor inconvenience, my overall experience at Chessington Adventure Park was highly enjoyable. It's a place where fun meets adventure, and every visitor is guaranteed to leave with a smile on their face and memories to cherish. Would I recommend Chessington Adventure Park? Absolutely! Just be prepared for some waiting in line during peak times.

As a merlin pass holder, we are regulars at the park. Always enjoy ourselves. Even when busy there is plenty to do. If the rides are busy there is always shows to watch, activities, the zoo to look round and farm animals to see. Love the different seasonal shows they do.

Always buy your tickets online Pay also for your parking ticket online as it is cheaper Nice place for kids to have fun. We saw the gorillas, lion, lioness, red fox and most animals in the king's trail We went on a rainy and windy day, so we could not enjoy all the rides and theme attractions. We had fun in the Gruffalo ride

Went for a family day out to celebrate by daughter’s second birthday. Zoo was good even if it was a little cold and wet. At no point in the Merlin Pass customer flow to book the tickets on the website did it mention the park closed at 15:00. There was mention of the rides being closed but not the early closure. No one mentioned the early closure on the way in or on any signage. I’ve updated the post to include photos of the entrance where no signage about closing time being 15:00 I’ve also noted the opening time section from the google maps page has now been removed. Please can some from the park explain where the signs were??? This was very disappointing.

Good effort at social distancing around the park, Plenty of room for a comfortable and safe visit. Wait times were significant due to reduced capacity on some rides. Kids were frustrated a lot of the time as a lot of the park is still closed. More needs to be done to enhance the experience. Would not have visited if it hadn’t been for our annual membership.

Chessington World of Adventures is my number one favourite theme park in the world. I absolutely love Chessington and the surroundings of the lovely zoo animals and wildlife. I specially love all the fast food restaurants and all the candy shops and all the souvenir shops. The staff are very very friendly and I enjoy talking to them. The staff are Autistic friendly and do their best to help people with Autism like me as I have Autism. Chessington world of adventure has great rides my number one ride is the (vampire Ride). My second favourite ride is the (Rattlesnake Ride) and then the (Cobra Ride) at third place. I recommend you come to Chessington World of Adventures for a great day out. The only thing that upsets me about Chessington World of Adventures is that they got rid of the (Bubble Works) and that was one of my favourite rides. It is hereby satisfied that the following Chessington World of Adventures resort is Autistic friendly and has been tested and approved by Ben ✅ 🎢 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Kids loved the mixture of it being a zoo to see the animals and the thrill of the theme park with the rides! Mix in with the hotel and its well worth it. We ate out everytime we were there maybe it would be better for me to get a pass and you get a 20 percent discount on food. During the week there were no long queues. Would recommend a day out here

Would have given more stars if we were able to find our way around the park to see attractions. No hand held maps only app and giant wall maps or you could pay £3.50 in gift shop. App map could not been seen on screen as it was a very sunny day. So if you try to locate wall map it's 6 deep as everyone doing the same thing !! Not good

We recently visited Chessington as part of our family holiday. We had a great day despite the rain and the highlight was our VIP experience feeding the giraffes! Holly our host and Rosie our driver were fabulous and did the absolute best to make the experience a wonderful memory for my family. Holly was kind enough to take pictures/videos so we could all enjoy the experience and Rosie kept driving the best spots so we had the best opportunity to feed various giraffes. My children all loved it. Being so close to such majestic creatures was worth every penny the VIP cost. I highly recommend! Holly and Rosie will make it a memory you won't forget!

Was a great day out kids loved the Halloween theme. Think they need to offer something out to customers who have queued for an hour then told the ride is now closed.

Birds feeding experience amazing, safari too. We could touch giraffe with finger how close he was Staff is also Amazing 👏 😍 very polite and confident. Will be back for sure

A pleasant visit to Chessington World of Adventures today. Quite crowded, but lines for rides moved well. All staff who we spoke with were cheerful and enthusiastic which is a big plus factor for us.

Great place to go when not many others do. We habe annual passes and the best ride count we've had there is 18 in 5 hours

Rides are pretty good but can have long wait times on high thrill rides. Zoo is feeling a little neglected to me but they do mix some animal enclosures throughout the park. Great for families with younger and older kids. There are enough non ride activities to keep people busy too.

Unbelievable resort... if I had one gripe, it would be that we didn't see any exit signs. We struggled to find how to leave after a long, fun, but tiring day; and staff were few and far between. We were told to follow another guest eventually who had just been given directions before us, but he went to the toilet, so waiting for a stranger to finish so that we could follow him seemed a bit odd. The only enclosure I felt was a letdown was the gorilla one. They looked depressed. I think gorillas need trees to swing from. I felt sad looking at them. The penguins on the other hand, just delightful! But overall, 9/10 experience. Taking my autistic son there was an absolute treat and a real hit for him. Happy and exhausted after a lovely 6 hour day there. Thank you!

Great fun hotel. Superb buffet hot & cold breakfast selection. Love their apple juice 😋 Interesting to see the safari animals right outside the hotel windows. The bar is very good, wide range of drinks and stylish. Right next door to Chessington theme park so no extra transport required at all! The swimming pool, splash room, steam room & sauna was great. Can't wait to return. Hopefully the jacuzzi will be working again by then...

Beautiful place to visit with family as rides for all ages packed with excitement. Also some crazy rides for adventure seekers. Themes of rides are amazing. Weekends in summer are busy at the place, so expect long queues for rides.

Lots to do, if you plan well it's well worth the price for a fun-filled day out to make memories 👍🏼💖 The fish and chip shop was closed on the day we went and the [majority of] food outlets were closing from about 4ish. Water bottles (500ml & 700ml) are from £2.50 and up to £3.50 each (lower prices from the freestanding vending machines dotted around on the grounds. These have the option to pay by card which is great in a pinch). I definitely recommend taking plenty of water with you and a packed lunch if you are trying to save unnecessary spending during difficult times - because we still need to live and enjoy life. So look out for special offers and promotions and utilise packed lunches and taking your own water, and plenty of it, especially if we are blessed with warm weather! Take care and enjoy yourselves with goodness, we're only here once! You'll need to have tickets before you turn up, or will have to purchase online at the gate which will probably cost more. There are quite a few rides, quite a few animals, lovely spaces to eat, plenty of pretty picture opportunities and scenes, a lovely little aquarium. The reindeer looked rather depressed and really sad, though. There are buggies available on site for tired little legs (unsure if you are required to pay for them as we didn't use this service). There are also very handy buggy-parks by some of the rides, which some of our party used but left someone on watch, as everything was loaded on the buggies.

The kids and wife loved it! Thanks to a sun newspaper deal it cost £20, probably one of the best £20 I've ever spent! Kids from 5-11 did ALL the rides and a few twice!! Excellent place, and now we will save up to stay there! Loved the Vampire and Safari! Top stars! Enjoy my sons proudest moment 😁

Had a great time at Chessington world of adventures. Suitable for all ages and houses a variety of fun and engaging activities. Food and drink is a tad pricey but nothing out of the ordinary. The Pizza & Pasta buffet was £18 for an adult, £10 for a child and included unlimited pizza, pasta, salad and drink. Staff were lovely and very helpful, even ending a ride early when noticing a young boy was not having a good time showing that they are attentive. Would recommend visiting midweek as it was much less busy and the wait time for most rides was between 10-30 minutes with a few of the popular ones being at 30-90 mins. If you’re interested in seeing the animals then would also recommend visiting the zoo and safari section around midday as the animals are all up and about. This is also when the queues for the rides tend to increase. Downloading the app is also essential as it makes it so easy to find where all the rides are and see the exact queue time for each one. It also acts as a map and guides you to the ride. Overall great experience for everyone involved.

The place is very beautiful, the attractions are free. Buy tickets online otherwise they will cost double, from £30 online, pay £60 if you buy on the spot. The animals appear to be well kept and healthy. Really bad food, stale and borderline edible, especially the "hot potatoes and hotdog" stand of poor quality, I took 2 hot dogs, threw them both away. We took a coke from the vending machine, the coke was not dispensed, we lost the money and bought one at a sales point because no one knew how to get the money back or get the coke. The place is really nice, the attractions too but I recommend it but with lunch from home.

Great day at Chessington. As with most theme parks the queues get very long on busy days. The shows are fun but lacklustre in places (need more investment). Really enjoyed the combination of rides for different ages and tastes. The animals are a fab part of the experience.

I went to Chessington World of adventures today with my teenage daughter , and I must say it was a good day out but two of the rides we wanted to go on were not working, then one of the rides did open and then it broke down again and people were stuck on it. There are only four rides that are really good and the rest are for small children. I must say that Dragon fury was a really good ride. The food was actually quite good, we had dirty fries. Staff are really friendly and polite. To be honest I do not think that I will come back but I do recommend families with small children to come and experience the theme park themselves. There are lots of different animals here as well.

For the price of the tickets, you should get at least two free queue passes. Most rides are over an hour wait. It's a fun place. 8 hours and only managed 5 rides. You do feel annoyed when you see the wealthy jumping the queue with their passes 🙄 for a family of 4 without the passes will cost you over 200 pounds. That includes refreshments and snacks. Bring your own lunch to make it cheaper. The worst part was being told you had to pay for parking? 150 pounds for a family of 4, and the parking is not included. That's an extra 8 pounds for the privilege of parking on a field and using dirt tracks with massive pot holes that wreacks your car.

Our visit to Chessington World of Adventure with friends and our children was a fantastic day out. One of the standout features of our experience was the remarkably short waiting times at the rides. The park's efficiency in managing queues made our day much more enjoyable, especially with excited kids in tow. Speaking of the kids, they had an absolute blast and managed to enjoy over 10 different rides during our visit. The variety of attractions catered to various age groups, ensuring that everyone had a great time. When it came to dining, we did visit one of the park's restaurants. While the food was tasty, we found some aspects less practical. For instance, we opted for the steak burger, but it might have been better served as a traditional steak cut rather than sandwiched in a bun. However, overall, the food options available were good, and we had no issues finding something to satisfy our hunger. In addition to the rides and dining, the short queues at the food stalls and other amenities made the visit even more enjoyable. The park's reliability in terms of managing crowds contributed to a stress-free experience. In conclusion, Chessington World of Adventure provided an excellent day out for both children and adults alike. With its efficient queue management, diverse ride options, and decent food choices, it's a highly recommended destination for a family-friendly adventure. Our kids had a fantastic time, and we left with smiles on our faces.

We buy the Merlin pass as we are childminders and love taking the kids to Chessington. There are loads of animals to see, from wild animals like lions, gorillas, zebra, giraffe, rhino to penguins, tigers and lots more. They have a small aquarium, enough to keep the kids busy. If you plan your day right they have different feeding times or talks you can go to. They also have an indoor soft play area for younger kids which is great! The carousel is always a hit too as our kiddies are all under 4yrs.

The experience was great, rides were perfect for me. In my opinion Vampire is really worth the wait, I waited 1 hour just to ride the vampire roller coaster and I felt like that I was not going to get to the end of the queue and when I went on the ride it made my mind up that it was worth it, all aside that the food was great too also love the animals.😄

The Jumanji rides are the kids favourite. Zoo with giraffes, monkeys, meerkats, feeding of Raccoons are a good entertainment, Took my boys after Xmas and they enjoyed all the rides. Despite it being a rainy day & a few raids were closed. The restaurant is very expensive, and a packed lunch is advisable for families. Worth a visit.👍✨🎉

Some really cute rides for the little one and some really wonderful staff. The person giving reindeer and session talks was so good and engaged so well with guests despite the fact she was clearly freezing! Would have been nice to have a few more opportunities to escape the cold a little on a very chilly day.

I have visited twice this year, and my family and I have enjoyed it and felt safe. Hand sanitizer is available all around the park, lots of info up on where masks are required and markings on the ground on were to stand when waiting for rides. We had a meal pizza meal, the waitress told us how to order which we did all on our phone and the food arrived quickly and was nice too. A lovely day and I would go back.

The whole park as an experience is amazing if you manage to go on a quieter day. We have been there 2 times, once 3 days in a bank holiday weekend (big mistake) and once 1 day on 18102020 (huge improvement). Last time we have been, we have managed to go on more rides,p than the whole previous 3 days combined, when we had waiting times of up to 110 min (!) In the Zufari, which is really not worth that wait. This time we had a 10 min wait and it was ok. The most we waited now, for the Vampire was 25 min. In the Scorpion we went countless times. The food is ok for an amusement park, but suggest you bring your own as there are multiple places you can eat, plus snacks in the queues. They have a very good system and respect guidelines very well, unfortunately you have the rogue person who thinks it's ok not to wear one during some rides, which affects the overall experience. Staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout. Definitely worth a visit, but chose your day wisely

Pros: good range of rides to suit different ages. Cons: difficult to visit with younger or disabled children. We had one breastfeeding child with us and there was nowhere covered (it was raining) to feed except the toilet (yuck). Wound up in first aid to feed. Would have been fine if the coffee shops had been open and had seating (as we had been relying on) but a) they didn't open any of them until 2 hours after the whole place opens, and b) they didn't have any seating. Food was difficult to get because the queues to get in anywhere were sometimes an hour long. One queue they decided after we'd been already queuing for 20mins to come out and say it was takeaway only. Had we been with our son who requires specialist equipment to be strapped to a chair in order to sit (and therefore can't picnic regardless of weather) we would have had a terrible day. Based on how difficult the day was with one young child, we are glad we didn't attend with our disabled son and wood seriously reconsider it as a 'family' day out as it definitely did not meet the needs of our whole family.

Park was fun for the kids. Lots of good rides. Lots of coffee available for adults. On site hotel room was OK. Was rather expensive. Evening meal at zafari was sub standard. Ridiculous prices and quantity of the peri peri chicken served was a joke. Staff were fab couldn't fault the customer services. Swimming pool was a welcomed relief after a manic day. You do have to book a slot. You could save ££ by staying at the Premier Inn (very close). All in all 7/10 for the experience.

We stayed one night at the Chessington resort, standard room one night with a view. The room was really good and clean. The cleaning and hygiene protocol is good. I did not enjoy the temple bay restaurant, the dinner was not good at all. The inclusive breakfast was good with good varieties. The rides were good, the Chessington app helps with the live queue times. The zoo is really good, kids will enjoy. The staff at Chessington are very helpful and are trying hard to keep up with the hygiene. Overall a good stay.

Visited las year during the summer. Found that other than temperature checks covid rules were being ignored all over the park. The staffed didn't care if people were ignoring all the rules. The park.had way to many guests with the queues over 2-3 hours on some rides which should of been impossible if they were limiting the amount of guests In the park. Also it was a super hot day and over half the drinks stands were closed or sold out. Don't feel I will visit again anytime soon if ever again.

There was only a short time where numbers were limited and by mid August it seemed to be at full capacity and didn't feel very safe. We had a fantastic time when we went in the Halloween half term . Everything was well organised. Most of the main attractions were open , some of the more closed in areas shut for covid reasons. The only thing that let it down in the park were other people not keeping a fair distance when queueing but not a lot the park can do about that. The hotel was great, the kids loved sleeping there, and so did the wife and I. Food was lovely and plentiful. The staff were lovely , friendly and knowledgeable about anything you needed to know. Great day out, yes there were queues for the rides but majority of them moved really quickly and were a lot shorter than the advertised wait time, the longest wait we had was for river rafts which was about an hour. So much to do in one day, was a lot for our 5 and 3 year old, next time would probably look at doing 2 days to allow for more time to do sea life etc. Lots of hand sanitising stations available, shame that every single one was empty throughout the day, definitely take your own.

Had an absolutely amazing time over our 2 days here. Tried so many places, rides and attractions and almost all were amazing. Smokehouse BBQ was really tasty and quick, Pizza Pasta place was great and I'd like to add a personal thanks to Brooke who works there for going above and beyond to make our day even better. Thoroughly enjoyed all the rides we went on with the polite and respectful operators assisting where necessary. The Safari hotel was nice and we enjoyed our stay, due to dietary requirements we had a minor issue as we had our booking swapped from temple restaurant to the other restaurant but the staff were understanding and the Chef himself came out to speak to us and made a main meal from scratch to our specifications and needs which was great. I'd definitely recommend the Amurala cheesecake as that was amazing (Pic supplied) If you are able staying a night to get early access in the morning before the park opens full is brilliant and you can get so many rides done before everyone else turns up it literally doubles the amount of his you can get in.

Surprised by just how good this theme park was. It just had such a lovely and fun atmosphere about the place and it was so clean as well. Excellent mix of rides for various ages and the zoo was superb. Having the sealife centre here meant that there was loads to do. Vampire and croc drop were my personal favourites but honestly couldn't say a bad word about Chessington.

This is the second year we visited for our daughters birthday as she enjoyed it so much last year, however, we were left disappointed in our experience this time around as there were more things closed than there was last year in a national lockdown! We stopped over on both occasions and the accommodation was pretty good but in saying this, out of the 4 days we visited the park over the 2 years we saw no tigers, which leads me to believe there aren't any unless we were very very unlucky on all 4 days? And finally, we queued up for the bbq smokehouse for over half an hour with hungry children for seemingly no reason as it was only 3/4 full when we finally got in, and in that time nobody had even left! Very frustrating experience and with how expensive the food was I'm also questioning whether we would visit again. Overall Park is great with lots of things to do, the added zoo is lovely too. However most of the staff we interacted with do not seem to want to be there, or care about visitors. Extremely poor level of customer service beyond belief let's this park down.

Wunderful little park for families with good rides and a beautiful zoo. It has a nice vibe and stuff is very friendly. Thrillseeker better choose Alton Towers or Thorpe Park.

Absolutely brillant place. And xmas their is so magical. You have so many different things for the kids to do and to keep them entertained. Can't not fault it and would recommend people to this place.

The winters tail at the theme park was disappointing. We went on 28th December. We didn't see any animals as every enclosure was empty. (The Wayama empty, the big cats trail empty) The only animal was a skunk that was brought put for a talk and penguins. Even sealife had many empty tanks. There were also no reptiles. We were made aware there were only 10 attractions before we arrived. However when we did arrive there were only 7 attractions. The Vampire, Tuk Tuk Turmoil and the dodgems were closed as well. This made for a disappointed 11 year old and made the day at the theme park very very short lived. Limited food options and some areas of the park need investment and updating. I wouldnt pay full park price to go to Chessington until it has investment and improvement. The atmosphere wasn't fun and uplifting as you would expect. Overall very disappointed with the theme park. We did enjoy the stay at the hotel if we hadn't booked the hotel this trip would have been a disaster.

Epic park for young/pre teen children. Great mix of rides, themes and animals that cater for everything that kids want. Would get five stars but I feel the signage/navigation on site and the number of food outlets are not right. The food wait times are just stupid. Overall a great day out....just don't forget a picnic

We went in February to the Zoo. Was really nice especially the tigers! There a few kids rides running which my youngest enjoyed. Was a little concerned about the animals being so close to rides.. i worry that in the summer when all the rides are running it would be very disturbing for them.

Just as we remembered it from years ago. We absolutely Loved the Tiger enclosure and also hand feeding the lorikeets We went on the Thursday which was thier opening day for the season Just a little disappointed that a few of the rides were not available, truth be known that it sort of spoils it if you are on a one off day visit..leaves you feeling that you have been taken advantage of... Especially considering how many months they have had to get ready. If you are paying full price you would expect everything to be in good working order Staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout the day even though it was not thier fault Management need to take responsibility for the failures, just a shame that the staff on the ground are the ones who make the apologies to the paying public. Its still worth a visit but might be sensible to check first that all rides are available and in working order..

We had a great day out here with the kids last weekend. I would suggest, aiming to get here just before opening time at 10am, to avoid the cues (mainly for bag search). There is plenty of parking available for a £4 daily charge. If your applying for an access pass, I would definately recommend doing the application and sending the paperwork online prior to visiting and collecting it at the park, as the cue for guest services looked quite long and slow moving when we walked past. A good selection of rides for all the family (most of them allow children over 1.1m accompanied by an adult. I think its easier to buy instant access for a few of the longer que rides (£10) to be able to fit in more time to explore, otherwise you spend most your day queuing. As well as rides, they have a selection of animals in their zoo area, a short safari ride in the giraffe and rhino enclosure, a sea life centre and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or a beverage. The park itself is quite clean with many recycling bins dotted around. We didn't have to que for the toilets either, as there are plenty around the park. Overall 8/10 for places to visit with the family.

Chessington World of Adventures is a wonderful place and a lovely time to spend with the family. We have been 3 weekends in a row and have loved it everytime. I would recommend an annual pass if your budget allows, that way you can come multiple times without the stress of standing in hour long queues. There is something for everyone - rides for big and small, animals to see, a safari, food stalls, theme park games, arcades, live kids show and much much more. Make sure to pay for parking ahead of time as this will save you some hassle when you leave. I highly recommend.

Great time in the park . Hotel was brilliant as the room was a long distance from entrance , we have an assistance dog and the gave us a free upgrade to the nearest room to entrance in case he needed to go out in the night and we got the gruffly room . Which was amazing . The hotel staff were brilliant and they couldn't do enough to assist us . 5 stars very well deserved

We visit all three big Merlin parks every year thanks to the Sun offer - this year we visited Chessington on Monday 19th June. We always pick weekdays and check the local school holidays and typically we get empty parks, but it was surprisingly busy on this day as though the schools were off. Chessington is Chessington. It’s a lovely place to spend a day, but none of the rides are overly thrilling. Dragon’s Fury is always the highlight (it was closed on the last two occasions we came) but Rattlesnake deserves a mention too. Both had 40+ minute queue times though so we only got the opportunity for a couple of rides. The new Jumanji world is decent. Mandrill Mayhem is great, and the ride access pass seemed to be working great. The entrance was quite crowded with people who didn’t understand how it worked though, and at one point security turned up as some had started jumping the fence. Reserve your ride early, and if there are multiple of you in a group, each reserve a ride for the group. It seems to close as the queue line gets full quite early in the afternoon. Serious concerns for some of their animals though - the zoo seems to get worse year on year. No otters (hopefully not in that enclosure, anyway) and very unhealthy reindeer. I really hope they’re getting some good treatment but their enclosure just doesn’t look big enough.

Stayed at the Safari hotel and spent 2 days at the park. I rated it. Slightly quieter in the park on the Sunday. Most rides 5 to 10 min wait time and a couple were longer. Some had none at all. 4 year old and 8 year old both happy although 4 year old couldn't go on some of the rides being under 1.2m even with adult. Hotel was modern and clean, animals grazing outside our window. Breakfast good and no massive queues. My only moan over the 2 days would be dinner. You have to scan a QR code and order at the table which feels a little cold. Also the food is expensive for what it is. 17.50 for a burger and chips which was not made with love shall we say. But....Parking. Hotel. Rides. Facilities all very good. Very clean.

I absolutely loved Chessington there are two reasons why I am not giving it 5stars:- no 1 the day I booked turned out to be a " children's day out" but it was not mentioned on the website and the waiting time for rides took longer than usual. I stayed in the hotel for one night and the dinner service was appalling, there were 6 people in my group 4 adults and two children. We placed our order, dinner was delivered for two adults only we waited for a few minutes then asked the server where are the children's meals, meals for the other two adults and drinks. Drinks came and after waiting a further 15min the children's meals arrived and one adults meal. We all finished our meal bar one adult who didn't get anything after much complaining we finally got the last meal. Then we got the bill only to be charged for something we didn't even order or get. The hotel itself was absolutely wonderful and the staff at reception were wonderful 😊

We loved this theme park, in fact it's the best one we've been to. There's loads of rides for small kids and there were hardly any queues when we went on the Saturday May Day bank holiday weekend. What's really good is you've got the theme park and the zoo which is lovely. We'll definitely be going again.

Amazing hotel room. Just look at the view (directly from our hotel room window). Bed was huge and super comfy. Staff were very friendly. Food was good at the buffet. Plenty to choose from. Theme park was awesome. Love all the rides and the new Jumanji area was fantastically themed. Already booking for next year.

Absolutely loved this park. So much to do for both my boys. Great rides that work for a good range and well thought out sections. Plenty of places to eat, loads of entertainment and friendly staff. New Jumanji ride was the highlight of the day but so many other great things. Not a cheap day but theme parks never are

Rides themselves are brilliant!!!!! We was on the summer holiday so was busy, waiting in the queues for some rides even 100min!!!! With extra pay for "fast ride" still waiting in queue for some time!!! A lot attraction for small ones and bigger kids. Very nice zoo. For go for ALL attraction no chance in busy day as no enough time, becauseyou spend most the time in queue! Inside shops and glitter face paint quite dear... My advice is buy tickets online as they are cheaper and you don't have to queue at least to get in!

Took my little ones (2 & 4yo) as a treat and apart from the rain it was a great day! There is a good amount of rides for them to go on plus the animals to see. 4 year old particularly enjoyed the gruffalo ride and the room on the broom journey. Queuing with little ones isn't easy but as we went before most schools had broken up we didn't have to wait longer than 20 minutes. If you get a deal it's definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely great day. They have really hit the nail on the head. It's the perfect mix of kids and adult entertainment. Kids loved all the rides and the zoo and aquarium. Food was good and we stayed in the hotel.which took all the stress out of the trip as we had 2 days. Highly recommended for families with mixed ages. Kids already asking to go back!!!

I have been coming to this park since 1995. Honestly, there hasn't been much change with the rides, but the amenities, food and drink and overall grounds look and feel updated. The park is a lot more cleaner than it has ever been. You don't see wasps or flies hoovering over food or near the bins. Seating areas are kept clean, the staff are a lot more cheerful and helpful, I was truly impressed. Kids loved the zoo as always, I do think the app with the grounds map could be a little more precise.

We went there on a very busy day. As a family of parents with two kids, we managed to experience different rides. Shame, the waiting for rides was too long but it is worth the wait. We'll definitely go again with the kids. My 3 years old kid enjoyed the show at 12 pm. My 7 years old loved the vampire ride, it's his favourite rollercoaster.

Family friendly theme park which puts extra care immersing yourself as an adventurer. All family can enjoy this. It offers competitive prices, friendly staff and somewhat thrilling attraction. If it lack in some aspect, they don’t have that many super strong rides. Also queue times are unreliable, it may say 5 minutes but you end up waiting 30. The zoo is excellent, most animals look good, the sealife is great. An amazing package.

  • 3/5 Andrew T. 7 months ago on Google
Park itself was okay. My Granddaughter is too young for most of the rides, so we primarily went for the zoo. The Zoo was awesome. She did enjoy some of the smaller rides, however having to queue for 25 mi s plus for each one was a nightmare. How do you explain to a 2 year old they have to wait? Also be careful, even if you book your tickets in advance lime we did, they will sting you for £8 for parking as you leave.

The hotel here are lots of fun with great entertainment for the little ones. The breakfast was delicious with nice views over the Safari. All the rooms are themed which gives the say a little more magic. The park was jollification. All in all loved having some R&R with the fam

Lovely sunny day out with my kids (my 1st visit). Lots of variety of rides for all ages. Staff were all lovely and helpful if needed to interact and easily spotted around the park. Loved all the rides able to get on especially mandrill mayhem & vampire. Fast passed a few at the cheaper prices (<£10 as £30 ones just silly prices) that we really wanted to go on and virtual queued for mandrill. Photopass was also a great plus. Loved all the themed areas and everyone had a good day. Funny watching everyone come off soaked on monkey swinger. Also really liked the park stayed open until 7pm. Think only negative was feel of the flow of the areas felt more back and forth rather than a loop and gift shops were few & small

Queue times were pretty long but should’ve expected that for a Saturday! Managed to get on a few rides and finished the day looking at the animals, which was nice. Vampire and the Log Flume were great fun and had the shortest queue time on the day.
