Great place to know about the culture and people of the North Eastern India. It's setup into 19 smaller zones where we can get to see/know about various things about the people and their heritage/culture. The orchid garden is well maintained with 100+ species available in the garden here. The culture museum is very informative too. There are people who help us with knowing the zones individually as they explain about the same. During the evening from 6.30-8.00pm, one can enjoy the cultural dance and music of the locals inside the garden. Prices are separate for this cultural dance. A few small eateries that sell the local snacks are available in and out of the place. Souvenirs shopping is available around the area.

This is one of the largest orchid collections in the world, yes "in the world". This is a must visit place. Maintained by a group of highly motivated individuals who have exceptional knowledge about the orchid spices and are humble enough to become your guide for everyone who visits the orchid garden. Yes you have to pay an entry fee to get in (Rs 100 for Indian citizens a bit more for foreigners) and yes you have to pay extra for carrying a camera.

It’s paradise for plant lover. They have an amazing set up of varieties of exotic plants and flowers not only restricted to orchids. Well maintained plants. Love how they have showcased the north-east culture and heritage. It’s a great place to visit to understand North-East better. Highly informative. They also have a displays of the various kinds of rice grains grown in the state and a lovely studio setup of the orchids portraits. This place also has live cultural dance performances. Good food and clean and well maintained washrooms. A child friendly venue with a kids play area and very helpful staff.

Finally a place full of knowledge it's a must visit if you come to assam. You will be taught about plants and it's uses. All orchids and you can buy them if you want. My most favorite was traditional dance performance here and the bamboo garden. If you are a nerd for learning about the place this is the place

It was a great trip. The orchids were in full bloom. The place was huge and you can just explore every nook and corner of it. The museums had a rich history and it really captured the state's essence. Starting from how clothes are made to antique pieces.

A must visit place if you are visiting Assam. Seeing Rhinos is a very common business here. Elephant safari early in the morning amongst mist is a different level of experiencing the forest. Jeep Safari is a totally different experience. We saw more birds with different terrains .make sure to have a knowledgeable guide with you, otherwise birds and deers would look the same. Different zones have different views and these guides can help you to select. If you are planning to cover it entirely, spend at least 2-3 days.

Beautiful place, with herbs, orchids, wild plants and many more. Orchidarium, museum, photo gallery, cultural platform, ethnic restaurant, small park, etc. are worth seeing. Local indigenous people are associated with the place which are enriching. They are traditionally and culturally rich. One can spend hours and hours refreshing oneself in the beautiful atmosphere. Vibrant colours, ethnic cultures, rich food, mingles together. Visitors from all around visit and enjoys the cultural dances being performed to have zest of Assam's culture. One could also enjoy being in the Chang Ghar.

It’s more than an orchid park. There are many interesting things to experience like the cactus garden, medicinal plants zone, bamboo forest, boating, rock garden. In the evenings, there’s an elaborate cultural program showcasing the varied Assamese folk and rural dances. Do not miss that. It’s starts from 6.30 pm and extends till 8 pm. Snacks options are available within and outside the premises. There are many shops outside the gate selling artefacts, souvenirs etc. as well. It’s an evening well spent. The best part is that this is an initiative of a local community to conserve and propagate their culture and traditions.

I visited Kaziranga Orchid Park during my trip to Kaziranga National Park and I was amazed by the variety and beauty of the orchids and other plants displayed there. The park is one of the largest orchid park in India and has many species of wild orchids collected from different parts of Northeast India. Some of the orchids are very rare and unique, and some have not even been named yet. The orchids are kept in a greenhouse, where they bloom in different colors and shapes. The park also has a cactus house, a bamboo garden, a medicinal herb garden, and a rice museum, where I learned about the different types of rice grown in Assam and their cultural significance. The park also has a restaurant, where I tasted some of the delicious and authentic dishes of Assam. The park is not only a showcase of the floral diversity of the region, but also a cultural hub, where I enjoyed the folk dances, music, and handicrafts of the local tribes. The park has a stage, where the performers dressed in traditional costumes and played various instruments, such as drums, flutes, and cymbals. The dances were lively and energetic, and I could feel the spirit and joy of the people. The park also has a handicrafts museum, where I saw the exquisite workmanship of the artisans, who made baskets, mats, hats, and other items from bamboo, cane, and jute1

About the Northeast cultural programme that takes place here, it gives a great insight into the various types of folk dances of the NE region. The performers are professional and the show, which happens every evening, is breathtaking. The conductor keeps the interest of the audience high, right throughout the show. Advance booking is recommended, as the seats fill up quickly. Reach early to get the front seats. See the video and photos attached.

Great experience! We had been twice, once for the night cultural show And once during the day. Extremely friendly staff. Well preserved orchids, bamboo park, medicinal park, hike trails, Assamese thali, music room with demonstrations of instruments, souvenir shops And fresh fruit outside. Just really happy with the voluntary explanation by all the staff in all the locations, usually we are left to our own devices And don’t grasp what we are looking at. Thank you for educating us with love And smiles.

I visited the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park recently. This is one of the best Orchid cum botanical garden in the entire Northeast. The park is well maintained and is very neat and clean. You can find different species of rare flowers and plants in this garden. Just near the entrance there is the Orchid house where various species of wild orchids collected from different parts of Northeast are kept in a green house for public display. There is a museum showcasing the rich cultural aspects of Assam. There is also a cactus garden where you can find varieties of cactuses - large and small which is a treat to watch. The bamboo garden has around 70 varieties of bamboos. There is also a food court which serves authentic Assamese cuisines and other food items. There is an open air stage where you can witness live performances of traditional dances of the Northeast. It is a child friendly venue with kids play area available. In addition to it it also has a boating zone where you can enjoy a beautiful boat ride with your family. In all a must visit if you are in Assam.

They also have museum of musical instruments , cloths , their tribal costumes and there is also show about Bihu dance around 1pm. Must watch that . For the show the ticket might cost 80 INR. The parking place is also available .You can also buy Meklha saree too from here. They have markets here.

Surreal experience at only 100₹ varieties of orchids with guides telling us about each and everyone....though it's not the season we witnessed some rare ones blooming....then there were two museums...110 types of green leafy veggies....cactus garden.... medicinal or herbal garden...bamboo grove with different types of species... boating... greenery everywhere....and on the top of that different tribes of Assam performing their own cultural folk dance...oh and forgot to add the music instrument museum...and the guy is really multi-talented yaar...he can play so many cultural instruments....and the nursery where you can purchase normal orchids and other plants....about food I didn't HV any so no 💡 idea. And their is a souvenir shop inside and outside the park u can get stoles woven by different communities of Assam etc etc....just take your family or friends and hv some ur time me time it will calm ur mind and feel relax.....and for orchids blooming it's best to visit in the month of March April.

It's a beautiful place with knowledgeable staff. The best time to visit would be March-April when the orchids are in full bloom. There are a few museums showcasing the indigenous heritage of Assam and neighboring north eastern states. It also has a repository of herbs and medicinal plants, a bamboo park with over 70 varieties of bamboos, and much more. The open air theater holds performances every 30 mins. All in all, a very enriching experience.

Must visit place if planning for Kaziranga (Better experience than kaziranga national park). Botanic gardens are very well maintained and some of the rare and most beautiful flowers are grown here. The museum contains the rich history of eastern tribes and their lifestyle.

The place has very good collection of orchids and they also explain very well about them. Apart from that they have a Cactus collection though it is not that well maintained. Traditional items and musical instruments museum are also notable things. Performance of local dances and songs are another attraction of the place.

Had a great time. It's more than just an orchid park, rather an archive of north eastern traditions and culture. Well maintained and a very good place for nature lovers.

This is a tourist attraction in kaziranga. On the entrance there are collection of lots of orchid varieties but not displayed in a proper way,may be due to lack of space. There is boating facilities and children park also. Children park is so so ,mostly to pass time. sale counter is also not well stocked . The cultural program is very short ,just glimpses of few local dance and performances. I feel instead of showing thumbnails they can dedicate one day each to different tribes or only one or two full performance a day keeping bihu as constant Also they can reduce the number of show and making each show longer. Overall average experience. People from outside will like it if organisers keep certain things in mind. Food must be available.

Nice place to visit if you are nature lover to see diversity of orchid here. The guides are some passionate and knowledgeable about each orchid plant and flowers. We really enjoyed cultural traditional dance program in this place. Every one must visit this place to know more about Kaziranga. Museum and some of the gift shops are really good to watch. We also got wheel chair for mother in law so that she can also explore and enjoy programs

Must visit place. The Orchid park is a great place to see a great variety of Orchids. A guide will be helpful too. Apart from this there's a bamboo park, a cactus park and a lily garden. The best part is the cultural dance by the local tribal troupe with drums and singing. The bamboo was very exciting to watch. After noon lunch was exotic affair served with rice and sixteen veg side dishes. We could do some shopping of the local handicraft items too

If you love flowers especially the exotic ones, then this is the place to be. From flowering orchids to carnivorous plants like pitcher plant and Venus fly trap, this place even has the world's smallest orchid. The guide is super knowledgeable, feel free to ask questions and they take pride in answering it. From propagating to maintaining, it's all done by the guys who are the guides under the supervision of the botanist.
