Venturing back to the movie theater after the lockdown? Make a visit to this modern and impressive cinema and if you can, buy VIP tickets for a really enjoyable experience. Don’t over order the food and drink until you see what’s already included in the ticket price. Seating is adjustable and super comfy and separation between seats is ample. Go enjoy yourself!

I love going to the cinema and watching films and this cinema is sooo nice! Lovely atmosphere, staff and food plus due to being an insider member I get a few benefits!! Definitely come here to support and watch a movie your excited to see instead of waiting for it to come out on a streaming service!!! Can’t wait for the many more films I’m gonna watch!

This cinema is brilliant! Me and my wife went there for a treat and loved it. The inside looks amazing with lots of light and great views of Southampton including the old city walls. Plenty of restaurants including nandos and pizza hut to choose from on the ground floor with access to the cinema up lifts or escalaters. All the screens have the latest surround sound systems and luxury leather seats with full recliner capability so you can get very comfy while watching your film. The seats also have Cup holders for drinks. There was a full selection of films on to suit all tastes including family and adult only. Me and wife went to see jungle cruise which was brilliant👍. Easy access to the cinema from west quay shopping centre and near the bus and taxi routes so you don't have to drive. Parking is also available in the 2 car parks not far from the cinema. Good choice of restaurants near the cinema as well with views of the old city walls.

Very clean interior and bathrooms, comfortable seats everywhere especially during watching the movie. Lots of lounge space too outside. WiFi didn't work, and doors on toilet stools were missing for some reason. But generally a very enjoyable viewing experience and shall come back to a showcase soon.

This is the best cinema I have ever been to. The recliner seats are so comfortable and the whole place is spotlessly clean. It's in a complex of many restaurants and spaces to sit.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience of watching movie at the Showcase. On my first visit, I had to buy the premier tickets to the movie I wanted to watch, because all others were sold out. But it was worth the price. It cost £16.50 per person and it was a luxurious experience. The tickets included a sweet/savoury snack box.

Absolutely love the reclining seats and it makes you feel at home. A nice variety of food choices to take into the cinema screen. I went to see the Taylor Swift Era's Tour movie recently with a friend and it was amazing, apart from a malfunction with the screen or something else that replayed most of the adverts, but overall, an amazing experience there.

Showcase is my first choice for going to movies in Southampton. I went to see Avatar 2 on 3/20, but unfortunately there were some technical issues and the projector couldn’t work properly. However, the staffs and manager told us that we could watch any other movies that is available that night, so I chose Creed 3, which is a great movie. The staff also gave me an emergency ticket so I could come back whenever I want to see another movie. Not only did I get an extra free movie ticket, but the attitude of the staffs handling issues really impressed me. This cinema not only has a great crystal clear screen and impressive Dolby Atmos system, but also with well-trained staffs.

Amazing venue. The screen is huge, the sound system just adds up to the total cinema experience. The chairs are beyond comfortable with the reclining mechanism to get you into the most relaxing position possible. The staff is polite and friendly and the popcorn is fresh and crunchy. I definitely recommend it.

A proper cinema, plenty of leg room, adjustable and comfortable seats. 1 star for all the ads, duration of the movie should include 30 min of ads.

Compared to many other cinemas, Showcase has nice large recliner seats and better legroom, plus the rows are high enough above each other to eliminate the old problem of tall people in the row in front blocking your view. They also have cheap tickets on Monday afternoon for seniors which is really good.

Love the recliner seats, makes the viewing so much more comfortable than sitting on a hard seat. You can really hunker down with your drinks and snacks, cover up if you want and enjoy the film of your choice in comfort. I won't use a normal cinema now.

Modern, clean, comfortable cinema. Special shout out to the reclining chairs! Super easy to find your seat, illuminated numbers. Usually find temperature an issue in cinemas, they’re always too hot or too cold but this was comfortable. Lots of options for food, a bar and Costa in the cinema too. Took off one star as some of the food could be better, the chicken strips and hot dog were below average compared to other cinemas.

Nice place to enjoy the day out with your family and friends. You can register as a member for free and receive great offers. Instead of paying 13.50 pounds for your adult ticket, you only pay 7.50. You are also rewarded everytime you book online. These rewards can be used in future purchases of tickets. There's also special screenings for toddlers at specific times of the days and tickets are around 3.25 for toddlers. Definitely would recommend!!!!

Plenty of leg space. Place is very need. Very wide screen display. Great audio. Brings out the best of every movie played. Allows social distancing when booking sits. With Ice cream dispenser

Since going to showcase we don't really go to other cinemas, especially if it's a big blockbuster then you can't beat it. The seats are comfortable and reclining, there is so much room and you can't see the heads of people I'm from of you - almost feel like you see in there on your own.

I guess I quite like modern design of the building...see what you think... Good location with eateries and shopping around for half or full day out. Cinema experience is great with space and individual Recliners for all. Plenty of space in foyer. Cafe fine but refreshments always excessive pricing...( all the same). Ticket prices tolerable for cinema experience. Just need a good film. My first here was '1917'...excellent... if my comfort left me strangely uneasy with the subject matter on show...x Last point...Not convinced big multiplexes care much for 'Independent' films..h

Went to see Ghostbusters Afterlife. Was pleasantly surprised with the prize and the quality of the screen

Very pleasant experience taking my son to a baby friendly showing of Top Gun. Large seats which recline, and less than 10 parents and families in the screen.

Staff are really friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the seats are so comfortable. Love the reclining seats and big arm rests and cupholders. The screens are large and crystal clear, and the popcorn and drinks are delicious!

Literally the only place we go to the cinema now. Super comfortable chairs at a very reasonable price as standard. I have a bad back so struggle with cinemas usually but the chairs are fantastic. Super padded and a really decent recline. No matter where you sit, the people in front don't block your view of the screen because of the way the chairs are staggered. Very much recommend

I gotta say, those leather recliner seats are the real MVPs! I mean, the whole place is modern and clean, with all the latest movies on the big screens. But those seats, man, they're so comfy I could just live in them! It's like having your own personal cinema, and the whole experience was just so chill and enjoyable. The staff were super cool too, and there's a bunch of food and drink options to choose from, so you can really make a night of it. It's the perfect spot to kick back and relax.

'Luxury' is how I would describe it. If you want to see a film you can go to any old cinema. If you want to live a cinema experience then go to showcase. I got a VIP booking as a friend recommended it, you go to a special lobby area away from the rest of the people in the screen, with extra dedicated seating and a buffet food selection for the film (drink wasn't included in ours). The food has a fair selection, mostly sweet but very tasty (pic for my choices attached). Seats are double reclining like the normal seats in showcase but also have a swivel table for your snacks and drink. Would definitely recommend it as an experience and would probably look to do it again sometime although as you would imagine, it's not cheap!

My first visit to Showcase and what a place. Easy parking with access the the cinema. Excellent access for my disabled wife, great food selection, great seats and a fantastic screen and sound.

Great comfortable experience. Lovely inside, other than kids swinging the hanging lights in the seating bar area but can't be helped. The sweet and savoury popcorn trays are made hours before and left out in the air. They could make fresh as it doesn't get too busy. It really let it down having soft snacks.

Been here a few times now and can say its a good cinema. Its kept clean and the screens have great picture and sound. Seats are lovely and recline. Food is pricey as all cinemas go but its expected. The only downside I would say is that the screens can get cold after sitting in there for a couple hours so bring a jumper or coat.

Lovely comfortable seats, although I noted that some have wear and tear issues. Good sighting and sound levels. Long time to wait for movie to start. Was appreciative of the pleasant temperatures in cinema as some cinemas are freezing cold. Will definitely go again.

Love this cinema. Fantastically comfy reclining seats, lots of screens, multiple screening times. Huge screen size and great quality sound. The free Insider club also gives great benefits of cheaper tickets Sunday - Tuesday and 10% back on all purchases. Totally spoilt me for all other cinemas now!
