The
biggest
plus
for
this
hotel
was
that
it
was
a
really
cheap
room
booking.
Paid
for
an
executive
room.
Not
a
big
room,
the
ensuite
was
almost
as
big.
It's
a
historic,
old
building
and
it
appears
some
of
the
original
furniture
is
being
used.
Room
smelt
musty
when
we
first
entered
the
room
and
we
opened
the
windows
for
several
hours
which
improved
it.
The
room
decor
could
do
with
a
sympathetic
update.
The
bathroom
appears
to
have
last
been
updated
in
the
80's.
The
walk
in
shower
door
opened
at
the
top
of
the
stairs
of
the
bathroom,
surely
a
massive
slip
hazard.
Our
room
had
a
large
smart
TV,
tea
making
facilities,
and
a
trouser
press.
One
window
looked
out
onto
the
gardens,
the
other
window
looked
out
onto
a
roof.
The
staff
were
helpful
and
pleasant.
The
gardens
were
beautiful,
but
I'd
highly
recommend
removing
the
dead
Christmas
tree
which
appears
on
display
slap
bang
in
the
middle
of
the
garden.
Lots
of
parking
spaces.
Steep
hill
to
walk
back
up
if
you
walk
down
into
town.
The
building
itself
was
beautiful
with
plenty
of
original
features.
I
didn't
see
a
lift,
so
may
be
an
issue
for
people
with
mobility
issues.
