I attended a wedding here as part of the brides party. It was absolutely fantastic, the staff were just incredible and couldn't do enough for us to make her day perfect. We had a brilliant time, and can't thank the staff enough for the part they played. The home made gin from the on site distillery is also by far some of the best I've ever had, I highly recommend it. Strong flavours and all round delicious. Finally, the food was amazing. Cooked breakfast was absolutely fantastic. One of the best venues I've been to, with fantastic food and drink, lovely gardens, atmosphere and absolutely incredible staff.

Booked this hotel which looked lovely, however we wouldn't know as had to cancel due to the hotel policy. Doors locked at 11pm no access til 8am. Due to attending a private function in the area that won't be finishing til around midnight. We couldn't guarantee to be in for that time and cancelled. So you can book but are on a curfew, just aheads up if your thinking of booking. Unable to give this a star rating as we didn't get passed the front door. Told of the policy 1 week after booking.

The staff were helpful and friendly the room was larger than a standard room Bed super king and extremely comfortable Breakfast outstanding and the price of the room was exceedingly good call for money My partner and I attended a Christmas Party there and because of the inclement weather decided to book bed an breakfast. The party and food were great and the good news carried on with our stay overnight We highly recommend this Hotel.

From the moment we entered we felt welcome, at home and relaxed. There was a lovely fire in the lounge, I hardly wanted to move. The food was really good too, especially the prawn linguine starter and the Bakewell tart. The best I've tested for years! The staff were friendly pleasant and helpful. The only slight downer was the wine list. Lots of New world but very little Old World though I think some changes are to be made there. All in all a lovely evening, much improved on recent years.

Attended a family event on Saturday 11th February for a sit down meal, the food and service was faultless, staff went that extra mile. Because it was so good we booked for the valentines meal which we had tonight, once again I can say my husband and I were not disappointed, the food was amazing one of the tastiest desserts I have ever had. Going to try the afternoon tea next and cant wait.

Spent 2 nights here with breakfast included, room was clean and spacious and staff were wonderful. The hotel is hidden away nicely with plenty close by should you need anything. Fantastic building and decor, lovely quiet place to stay, can definitely recommend.

We were gifted The Gin Experience at the onsite Whitehall Distillery and went last year. We enjoyed it so much we booked again with an overnight stay this time. We loved The Gin Experience and making our own flavoured gin. Price included a food platter for 2, several gin cocktails and your own gin that you make. The food and the cocktails were both delicious and they had a selection of beers for the other half. The overnight stay was lovely too. Room was a very good size for a standard with a lovely view. Lovely quiet location. Very, very clean, super comfortable bed, lots of storage space. The hotel is gorgeous. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The price we felt was very reasonable too. We would usually spend around the same amount, if not more, on a night out but felt we got very good value for money here and with a bonus overnight stay too! Would highly recommend, and even though we've been twice already we will definitely be back! Just to add, our first visit was a gift and it was a really good one! If you're struggling for gift ideas this is something a bit different that's worth every penny!

A memorable and unusual experience. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, The food was excellent and the room was first class. We enjoyed every minute of our stat.

My son's and daughter in law wedding breakfast and evening reception 05/11/2022, an amazing time. From the moment we walked in, warm, welcoming and caring. Blake and all the staff very friendly and could not do enough. The food for the wedding breakfast and evening reception was exceptional. We stayed overnight, the room was clean, cosy and very comfortable. The breakfast was so good. Thank you to all for such a wonderful day and evening. You are amazing.

Was there for two nights , staff was very friendly , room was nice, big and clean , i had just breakfast but was excellent cheese and tomato omelette and full english breakfast was top , wish i can add photos here , 100% recomended to all

Had booked a room for the night after my daughter's wedding, along with my sister, son and son-in-law. At 4.30 pm on the day before the wedding I received a call from the hotel telling me they had overbooked and they were cancelling my booking. When I said that we were saying the night after the wedding I was asked which wedding. I explained the wedding was elsewhere. There was an audible sigh of relief. I strongly suspect we were cancelled to make room for someone attending a wedding at the hotel. The whole thing was distressing and caused a great deal of inconvenience. The member of staff who called was totally unsympathetic and unprofessional. I contacted the hotel to complain but was ignored.

Plus side. Staff were very nice and clearly trying hard. Location and parking were very good. Breakfast was nice. Bed was comfortable. Down side. Bar was short staffed so queueing was not ideal. No phone in the room. And the biggest downfall was a cold shower. I hope staffing issues are resolved as I'm sure this is a issue with any shortfalls. Would i stay again. Yes I would. The room was certainly spacious enough.

Excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful building and rooms lovely and clean. Stayed for a 2 nights stay with breakfast which was superb. A special mention to Peter who looked after us soo efficiently and politely after a very long journey. I will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel.

Recently set up their on gin distillery and work shops to keep the business going due to covid. Rooms are good with restaurant and bar service every day

Room a bit dark and no hot water for a shower in the morning. Staff amazing and very polite couldn't do enough everyone.

My son Simon and daughter in law Nicola held their wedding at the Whitehall on Friday 18th March. From the beginning the staff mad them feel like superstars they went above and beyond to make their day go like clockwork and special. They were warm friendly and approachable at all times. The food was amazing and the staff could not do enough for you.
