Hassans Walls Lookout

Tourist attraction

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ This lookout is a must-visit. The road is OK (no way near as bad as the road to Blackheath Lookout) and the view is amazing. There are 2 short paths. One leads to a cave and the other leads to an open deck which you can see a 360ยฐ view around! People often mention lookout, road, view, drive, Lithgow, views, cave, nice, valley, good,

I'm so glad I got to experience this place years ago before the walkway. I loved exploring the rocks and feeling connected. It's still an amazing place, the best lookout I have ever been to. Amazing rock sculptures and views

Beautiful view, looking back at the Blue Mountains and more! Popular lookout, careful of other road users on the drive in. Dirt Road. Well signposted. Lots of space to park. No bathroom. Multiple undercover tables to sit and eat. Two tracks. There is the obvious one that is wheelchair accessible (from memory) and then there is a single track to the right that takes you down to a small cave with another fantastic view.

Beautiful spot anytime. We went up at sunrise and got some nice photos. Plenty of parking space. Unsealed road on the way up that would be slippery when wet. Very windy at the top so a jacket is a must. One path leads to the lookout. The other path leads to a cave for viewing. Busy sunrise photos as the lookout part.

Absolutely stunning at sunset! Great place to take photos. There's only one way in and one way out. If you come up on a public holiday then you might have to wait to get your perfect selfie. There can be a bit of a line up.

Not sure where the great reviews come from, I wasnโ€™t too impressed to be honest. Itโ€™s nice to drive up there and have a lunch with a view if you are in the area. If you decide to walk up, itโ€™s an easy 2.5km walk up, but you have to share the unsealed road with the cars and they stir up the dust every time - I didnโ€™t enjoy it much. Once you are close to the outlook there are some nice stone formations that you can explore but the actual lookout has now a viewing platform with a table (it looks like it was an open area before the platform was build). Itโ€™s nice on top but I might have expected too much based on other reviews.

This is well hidden gem Lithgow. A short (5-10mins) drive will take you to the top. ( 2WD friendly!) There is a nice covered picnic spot with tables and chairs before a walkway to the lookout. From the other reviews I have read, it seems like the walkway is built recently, making it more safer and easily accessible. I have to admit this is probably one of my favourite lookouts I have ever been. Magnificent 360 view of the Lithgrow valley. There is also another scenic spot (walk) where you enter into this little cave which gives you another perspective of the lookout. A MUST visit spot if you are around that area!! Or add that to your blue mountain/lithgow/dubbo trip!

Nice walk to the lookout, wheelchair access is good, also good for walkers and walking sticks nice seat to sit at while having a cuppa while watching the sunset or sunrise, nice area to look at but I do find the scenery abit boring I prefer the old lookouts to this one and alot of the other lookouts in the blue mountains

Can trek or drive up to the lookout. Great lookout to see the heart of Lithgow and the valleys that surround it. Some hidden walkways that lead to amazing points that are a bit off the beaten track. Good for a picnic or a proposal.

Magnificent view into the Capertee Valley below. There is a long gravel road to get up the mountain from Lithgow though. It's the best to drive with care.

Best lookout at Lithgow above 1100m sea levels with 270 ยฐ view west of Blue Mountains. Highly recommend this place.

One of the best natural top views I have seen. You feel like you are very big and at the same time very little in front of what lies in front of you and your sorrounding majestic valley tops.

One of best and most unique lookout that we've come across. Just a 10 min drive from town and definitely worth the short drive.

90 minute scenic drive in the Blue Mountains from northern suburbs of Sydney through Richmond. Last few kms on dirt via Lithgow. Easy walk to viewing platform along a metal walkway. Very impressive views of Hartley valley below and mountains in the horizon.

Love the views. You get to see Lithgow from up here. There is a bench right at the lookout to enjoy a little picnic, if you don't mind others walking around you. It is literally at the lookout. You can stand on the table to get higher elevation. The downside is getting there and going back. The road isn't concrete. It is gravel and narrow. Maybe 10 minutes of slow drive up. You can do it in 2 minutes but there's a good chance you'll fall off the road and die. There is a cave-like lookout that has been tagged by most likely locals. Red and black paint isn't a good look inside the cave.

Amazing views on the valley and Blue mountains. Short drive from Lithgow, the road is good, can be narrow sometimes. The part with the cave is so good, you get stunning views down the mountain. Great experience.

This place was recommended to me by my sister and was definitely worth checking out. It is only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Lithgow and provides some amazing views out across the surrounding landscape. Photos attached show the trig point located at this lookout.

Nice lookout even in really foggy conditions. There are 2 parts of lookout. First normal path and second a little bit of deviation from it. There is a small cave from which you can see the main lookout. From a specific point the road is also visible. Cameras can't capture what eyes can see. Worth a visit!

The road there is not well maintained but its a great view. Not many people too, seems nice and secluded. Great spot for a sunset. Little revhead P platers can be lurking about, so that's annoying, but what can you do when you leave your spike strip at home.

Great place to visit. Spectacular views of the Blue Mountain & the green valley. Well established walk way.

  • 5/5 G D. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing 360ยฐ view of the Lithgow valley is simply mind blowing. The lookout is easily accessible and is fenced and is kids and disabled friendly.

  • 3/5 Manav 2 years ago on Google
The lookout is not too bad, but nothing extraordinary - just like others in the Blue mountain area. Note that the road to the lookout is all gravel and unsealed. So taking a car with lower clearance may not be the best idea. There is a cave like structure at the lookout for good selfies.

A beautiful lookout that is super easy to reach from the parking lot. The road that leads here is certainly not in the best condition, but it's not too bad. Can be done with any normal car. It's definitely worth it for this view.
